Hannah Summers and Jon Beck, the brains behind the project, debuted the first Oasis night in March, playing back-to-back Oasis songs at London’s Dingwalls. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, further dates initially set were postponed, but now an April follow-up has been confirmed.

So, for ninety minutes this Friday evening at 7.55 pm, a selection of their best work will be played. The organizers took to Instagram, and said: “After the absolute INSANITY that was the first ever Mad Fer It House Party at the start of this month and with the hangover just about cleared, we’ve decided it’s time to bring you another Oasis ONLY House Party this Friday at 8pm (UK time).”

During the last broadcast, they reached nearly 6,000 listeners. This time, they want to break 10,000. They encouraged to “click “Going” on the event page and like, comment and share with all your Oasis-loving mates.”

“You’ll go to an indie night and hear an Oasis song or two, but it’s always going to be the same songs. ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’, ‘Rock n Roll Star’ and maybe even ‘Supersonic’.” he said, describing the night as “an exciting opportunity to play those tracks you don’t hear so much.”

So, to Oasis fanatics out there, if you’re bored Friday night, you know what to do.

“It’s an honour to announce that I will be doing a gig for the NHS and careworkers at London’s TheO2 on October 29th.” Liam said on Twitter. He further praised them: “They do an incredible job, we are very lucky to have them. LG x”

Manic Street Preachers similarly announced two special gigs in December for NHS workers. Frontman James Dean Bradfield said: “In a universal way, we’ve all got a stake in the NHS and we’ve all got a connection to the NHS.”

“We wanted to do something to show our appreciation, love and respect for the NHS and its amazing brave workers,” the band added. “One free show and one fundraising show seemed the best way for us to express our deep gratitude for all their heroic work.”

More still, on April 9, it was announced that the 02 Arena would serve as a training facility for NHS workers treating Coronavirus at the NHS Nightingale Hospital.

Recently, Liam Gallagher announced that his upcoming live album on vinyl had been delayed due to COVID-19. Last year, he performed in Hull for his 2019 MTV Unplugged show. As a result, the vinyl will now arrive at a later date.

Gallagher tweeted: “Listen up Brothers and Sisters, due to lockdown my MTV unplugged vinyl wont be ready for 24th April. As soon as the manufacturer is back in action we’ll schedule a new date. Shortly before Liam made the announcement of the album’s delay, the ‘Shockwave’ vocalist quipped on Twitter that he and his brother Noel had “been self isolating for 10 years”. 

It comes after last week, Arthurs and Burgess hosted a party for Oasis’ debut album, the acclaimed ‘Definitely Maybe’. Brian Cannon joined them, the man behind the artwork of the album. Kevin Cummins, NME’s chief photographer throughout the 1980s and ’90s attended too.

In a tweet, Arthurs announced the decision to host their sophomore album next. He said: “For Saturday’s #TimsListeningParty ‘What’s the Story’ at 10.05pm,” he tweeted. “I’m going to give a minute for those listening on the vinyl to change the disc over so watch my tweets.”

He also mentioned that ‘Bonehead’s Bank Holiday’, a song exclusive to the vinyl edition of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ would be played during the session. Liam Gallagher didn’t participate in last week’s party but has not ruled out his involvement. It is unknown if he’ll attend this forthcoming session.

The listening party is due to start at 10:05pm on Saturday (April 4). To get involved, fans are instructed to head over to the Twitter accounts of Bonehead and Tim Burgess.

Recently, Liam produced claims that brother Noel is “greedy”. The vocalist cited this as a reason why an Oasis reunion would be inevitable.

As a result, Noel wouldn’t be able to turn down the chance at a comeback. It comes after Noel turned down claims from Liam that he rejected an offer of £100 million to bring the band back together.

Naturally, we’re all hoping this situation with Covid-19 is resolved sooner than it’ll take Liam and Noel to reconcile.

In a bid to reassure fans who’ve had to self isolate, Gallagher remarked about his estranged relationship to Noel. Via Twitter, he said: “Me n Rkid have been self isolating for 10 years c’mon a couple of months ain’t fucking hurt,”

The coronavirus outbreak continues to cause misery within the music industry. Another casualty of the pandemic came yesterday, as Glastonbury 2020 was canceled. Other canceled events include Snowbombing, (to which Liam was due to perform), Coachella, Eurovision and Radio 1’s Big Weekend.

Artists including Stormzy, Greg Dulli, Circa Waves, and Avril Lavigne have all postponed tours and events due to the virus.

But that was then. This is now. In an interview with NME for their weekly Big Read, Liam said: “The geezer’s ego’s out of control,”

“Let me tell you this: it has been offered and he knows about it. He’s obviously gonna say no, because he’d like to be the person to break the news to people because he’s the fucking oracle. And obviously I’m his little brother, who’s doing well and I’m here to spoil the fucking party.”

Liam affirmed his beliefs of a future with Oasis, stating: “It is gonna happen, believe you me – it’s gonna happen very fucking soon,”

According to Liam, the offer standing is for an exclusive tour, yet the ‘Shockwave’ vocalist did not rule out new music. He said: “I’d do a record, but listen, it depends on what kind of record it is.”

So, the Twitter post reads: “Nothing to see here dudes and dollies,”

Noel added: “Silence is still golden… and just in case you weren’t already aware someone still has a new single out. I believe it’s called ‘Once’ which is the exact amount of times it should be played.”

Gallagher further added: “It’s still available in all good record shops but mostly in the shit ones. Happy Sunday.”

A few weeks ago, according to claims from Liam, Noel turned down claims of a £100 million offer to reform Oasis.
