The show will be their only live show and will take place at London’s Emirates Stadium on June 6.

‘One For The Road’ will be their first performance together since 2019, where they performed five nights at London’s Palladium. The show announcement also follows on from them sharing their documentary Boyzone: No Matter What earlier this year.

At the show, Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy, and Shane Lynch are expected to sing fan-favourites including chart-topping singles ‘Words’, ‘All That I Need’, ‘No Matter What’.

They are also likely to pay tribute to late bandmate Stephen Gately, who died in 2009, aged 33.

Stephen Gately sadly passed away in 2009, whilst on holiday with his partner in Majorca.

Boyzone spoke about the reunion saying, “We’ve been truly blown away and humbled by the response to the documentary this year,”.

“The love we’ve felt from fans all over the world has inspired us to create the ultimate experience together, headlining our own stadium show. The four of us can’t wait to stand together again and enjoy ‘One For The Road’.”

The reaction from fans after the announcement of this one-off show has been mixed, with fans having expected a whole tour announcement instead.

Some fans have taken to Instagram comments on the bands show announcement and said, “Only one show? Literally thought it was gonna be a tour.” and “No Irish date? The only place to see Boyzone in 2026?”

As mentioned previously, the announcement of the show comes after the group shared their documentary.

The documentary gave fans an exclusive insight into the group through new interviews, where the band shared personal experiences and documented the highs and lows of fame.

Since forming in 1993, Boyzone went on to secure 17 consecutive UK Top 10 hits, as well as earning four BRIT Awards throughout their career. They also won an Ivor Novello for Best Song for ‘Picture Of You’.

Louis Walsh managed Boyzone until their split in 2000, and oversaw Ronan Keating’s solo career. The band reformed in 2007 with Louis as their manager, and shared their chart-topping comeback album ‘Brother’ in 2010.

They cut ties with Louis Walsh permanently in 2018.

In the documentary released earlier this year, Louis Walsh openly admits that he fabricated stories about the band to gain publicity, including a fabricated plane crash during an Australian tour.

“Sometimes, the boys would read stories in the papers about themselves that weren’t true and they’d say, ‘Who told them that?’ I did!”

While Louis insists he was “just doing his job,” the band recall how damaging it felt. Ronan Keating said, “It scarred us, it was hugely scarring. What the media did to us all.”

The pair will take the stage at London’s MOTH Club on April 6 and 7, 2025. This live return follows the release of ‘Fuse‘ (2023), their first album in 24 years, which was well-received by fans and critics alike. Their last public performance in the UK was on November 19, 1999, at The Forum in London.

In their Instagram post, the duo said: “We play two intimate live shows at London’s MOTH club, Apr 6 & 7. We’re performing as a part-acoustic part-electronic duo accompanied by Rex Horan on double bass. No club bangers, no huge arena, just a chilled folk-tronic vibe. Two sets with an interval. Formed in 1982 in Hull, England, Everything But The Girl initially gained attention with their jazz-influenced pop sound. Over the years, they evolved to incorporate electronic and trip-hop elements, achieving significant acclaim in the 1990s. Their most notable hit, ‘Missing’, remixed by Todd Terry, reached number three on the UK Singles Chart in November 1995 and number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1996.The upcoming shows mark a significant return for the duo, who last performed publicly at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2000. The concerts are described as “part-acoustic, part-electronic”, featuring songs from both their collaborative and solo careers.

Tickets, initially offered to UK mailing list subscribers, sold out instantly, reflecting enduring interest in their music. Fans can currently join the wait list on DICE in case more tickets become available through resale. These intimate perfomances could signal the beginning of more live appearances from Everything But The Girl in the future.

A series of gigs have been announced next month to mark its long-awaited reopening, with its first performances taking place on Friday April 19, except it will feature tribute acts as opposed to famous bands. Nirvana UK will pay homage to the 90s grunge band, with a tongue-and-cheek The Smyths following suit. On the following Friday, April 26, two more tribute acts will take to the stage, including Definitely Might Be, inspired by Oasis, and UK Foo Fighters. Tickets for both shows will go on sale this Friday (March 8) at 9am GMT. English quintet Editors will be the first major band to headline the venue, and are set to perform on May 2, with special guests yet to be confirmed. The band took to social media today (March 4) to showcase the gig after wrapping up their UK tour yesterday, commenting: “We’re extremely excited to return to @o2academybrix in London on May 2nd!”

In an unexpected announcement, US rock band The Black Keys have also revealed they will be playing the South London venue in a two-night residency on Tuesday 7 May and Wednesday 8 May. The future of the legendary music venue remained uncertain for the best part of a year and a half after Lambeth Council suspended its license, with the Metropolitan Police reportedly advocating for the beloved music spot to close its doors permanently. An online petition was launched after the venue confirmed its closure, with the hope that the decision would be overturned. A plethora of artists and industry professionals also spoke out, condemning the possibility that it could be closed for good.

In December 2023, it was declared that the venue would be allowed to retain its license and reopen, providing the building and its organisers can meet more than 77 “robust” safety rules and conditions. Brixton Academy has allegedly spent £1.2 million on maintenance and improvements last year, including stronger doors, a more efficient queuing system and a more secure ticketing process, according to Brixton Academy’s owners, Academy Music Group (AMG).

“We continue to be devastated by the events of last December,” AMG’s statement said. “Our heartfelt condolences remain with the family and friends of Rebecca Ikumelo and Gaby Hutchinson. What happened was and is a tragedy and we are committed to ensuring that it can never be repeated.”

“Over the past nine months, the venue’s importance to the local community and the live music scene in the UK has been made clear. Academy Music Group is determined to learn all appropriate lessons from the night of December 15 2022. As the Licensing Sub Committee knows, the venue must implement all the new conditions and will reopen at first with test events. The commitment we give to work in close partnership with all the responsible authorities as we reopen is a serious and sincere one.”

The building first opened in 1929 as a cinema and boasted sleek Art Deco interior and a theatrical-style stage framed by its famous arch, which was modelled on the Rialto Bridge in Venice. In July 1972 it reopened as a disco, rebranded again throughout the 80s and 90s, and has held enormous cultural significance ever since, attracting some of the world’s greatest and most renowned acts, including Amy Winehouse, The Clash, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones.

With a string of exciting new headline shows set to take place over the coming months, this hopefully marks a new chapter and era for a venue that has been clouded by such a devastating event.

Dubbed as Summer Solstice II, Serge and his bandmates will grace the stage at Leicester’s Victoria Park, captivating an audience of 38,000 music enthusiasts. This marks their return to the public space in their hometown after a decade since their last headline performance. The announcement has sent fans into a frenzy, with social media buzzing with excitement.

Following the tremendous success of their previous album, The Alchemist’s Euphoria, which reached Number One last summer, there are no indications that Kasabian will be slowing down anytime soon.

An electric show is not the only thing that fans can expect from the Kasabian lads. They have also announced that the Kaiser Chiefs will be joining them as a support act, with more acts to be announced later. Although their last headline performance at Victoria Park was ten years ago, the rockers performed a secret set at the venue in 2016 to celebrate Leicester City winning the Premier League.

Serge, speaking about the show, expressed the significance of creating lasting memories and experiences. He emphasized the impact of witnessing such an event in one’s hometown, with the sound, noise, and music etching unforgettable memories in one’s mind. Serge believes that these memories are what people carry with them when reflecting on their lives. He emphasised the importance of attending the gig, stating that it is an experience that cannot be missed. He said, “Seeing something like this in your hometown, you know – the sound, the noise, the music – those memories, that’s what you take with you when you look back on your life and it’s like, you’ve gotta be there, you can’t miss it, you can’t let this happen and not be at that gig, you know? It’s creating those moments and doing it where you’re from and inspiring the next wave, hopefully, of young kids in Leicester seeing it happen and then them starting a band, that’s kind of what it’s all about.”

Chris, on the other hand, highlighted the significance of this show being a decade after their first one. He expressed that it has always been their desire to do it again and to give back to the city. As there is no large arena in Leicester, this show serves as their arena, where big shows happen. Chris considers it a privilege to be able to perform in their hometown once more. He said,“It’s 10 years after the first one, it’s something we’ve always wanted to do again, and it’s something that we can give back to the city. There’s no big arena in Leicester, so this is our arena. This is where the big shows happen. And so to be able to do it again is just a privilege.”

In an interview with Mxdwn Magazine she spoke about her emotions during the writing process “I wrote this song a week after having someone I loved seemingly completely change their attitude to me overnight, and I went in the studio straight away with Paul Stanborough to produce the song. I think the initial anger, hurt and confusion I felt in those first few weeks really comes across in the final production”.

The London-based artist, who has been writing and performing music since the age of 12, released her debut single ‘Never Will’ on Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube, iTunes and Amazon in August 2023. She has named alt-pop artists such as Holly Humberstone and BLÜ EYES as strong influences in her writing.

Collaborating with songwriters all over the globe, the artist has seen her work played on Radio 1, BBC Introducing, Love Island and has been featured on both New Music Friday UK Notable Releases. Through studying Music at Leeds College of Music and ICMP, Francesca’s passion for songwriting, specifically toplining, only grew stronger. The Brighton born, BRIT School alumna has announced two upcoming live UK dates in both Brighton and London with the first being a showcase at The Camden Club on the first of November. The Chalk Farm based venue has started a new evening of artist showcases which is free to attend. Joining the singer will be Amaya and The Echoes and Bonita Delaney.

On the sixteenth of November, Morris will join Shoegaze and Dreampop inspired artist Oliver Beardmore and Maida Rose on the Brighton leg of their tour at The Folklore Rooms. During the band’s tribute, Duran Duran urged the crowd to hold up their lighted phones to pay respect to the 96-year-old former monarch. The group then launched into a beautifully sorrowful rendition of the hit; the set featured animated white doves flying across the video screens. The 80’s heartthrobs took to their official social media accounts to share a touching message accompanied by a breath taking picture of the audience.

Whilst addressing the audience, lead singer Le Bon said, “So, you know that it’s a real sad time for a lot of us Brits, and a lot of other people around the world, and we would like to make our own tribute to Queen Elizabeth, If you’d like to join us and show your respect, please take your cell phone out, switch the light on. Before Duran Duran proceeded to perform their 1982 ballad, a portrait of the Queen was displayed on large screens; the same image was also projected to the audience before the group took to the stage. Just hours prior to the “Hungry Like The Wolf” band’s appearance, the group took to their official social media accounts to share their reaction to the news of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing. The post included the following emotive message, “Her Majesty the Queen has presided over the UK for longer than any other British monarch. She dedicated her life to the people and set an extraordinary example to the world throughout her reign.”

The band’s post continued, “She’s seen changes that are beyond what any of us can imagine. She has faced challenges that she has risen to time and again. Her life has been remarkable in so many ways. We will all miss her and are grateful for the incredible service she gave to the people of Great Britain and the countries of the Commonwealth, We send our deepest condolence to the royal family. Her death brings to an end a long and unique chapter in the history of the United Kingdom and the world,”

Duran Duran were among the many acts who played at the Platinum Jubilee concert to celebrate the Queen’s 70th year on the throne. The band performed on a constructed stage outside of London’s Buckingham Palace on 4th June 2022, also billed to perform were Diana Ross, Rod Stewart and Queen + Adam Lambert. The first act to perform was Queen + Adam Lambert; the royal rockers performed their classic hit “We Will Rock You” alongside a royal marching band. The Queen herself was present for many of the Jubilee celebrations and events, but she did not attend the star-studded concert; in lieu of her attendance, a very special comical pre-recorded message of the Queen featuring Paddington Bear was shown to kick off the event.

The Grammy-Award-winning artist was invited to join the performance by guitarist and vocalist Alana Haim, Swift proceeded to join the band in a rendition of their hit single “Gasoline“. Halfway through the performance, Taylor said to the crowd, “Good evening London. You know, I haven’t been on the stage for a very long time, it’s nice, it’s nice, it’s very nice. But, you know, when I heard that my girls were playing in London at the O2 and I thought, ‘I’m gonna have to see that’ and it looks like there’s about 20,000 other people that also thought that.“  

The “Shake It Off” singer continued to address the crowd and proceeded to allude to a mash-up, “We had a thought – that if we were to do some sort of mash-up, we could possibly maybe get you to sing the loudest that you have sung all night, which is a big job because you’ve been singing very loudly, it’s extraordinary work. Would you be up for it? Would you sing with us?”

After an almighty roar from the audience, the band proceeded to play “Gasoline“, Swift then took to the microphone and sang snippets from her hit “Love Story“; both acts then aligned musically to continue the performance of “Gasoline“. Before walking off-stage, Swift saluted the audience and shouted, “Ladies and gentlemen, please take care of my best friends for the rest of the evening. Thanks for having me, good evening.”  

The now infamous performance took place on Thursday 21st July 2022 and served as the concluding show of the band’s UK tour. After several festival appearances in the UK and Europe, Haim proceeded to perform across the UK for their 2022 headlining arena tour. The band have acquired a loyal fan base in the UK due to their catchy hits such as 2012 hit “Don’t Save Me” and “The Steps“. 

The original version of “Gasoline” was taken from the band’s most recent album Women In Music Pt.III, the album was released in 2020 and became Haim’s second number one album within the UK charts. The band’s third studio album was met with much commercial and critical acclaim, Women In Music Pt.III received a Grammy Award nomination for Album Of The Year. In 2021 “Gasoline” was treated to a remix by Swift; the re-worked version was then released as a single and placed within the Top 100 UK Singles Chart. The remix marked the second collaboration between the two acts; Haim and Swift previously worked together on the single “No Body, No Crime“. The track was released in 2020 and included in Swift’s ninth studio album Evermore. 

The huge show will begin on Friday, July 15 and will see him joined by a hand-picked roster of Fontaines D.C., Declan McKenna, Beabadoobee, and Goat Girl, with many more yet to be announced. He shared the news via social media stating he “Cannot fucking wait for this!”

Fender told NME about the show “It’s the biggest gig we’ve put on so far – 45,000 tickets, It’s gonna be like Sam Fender with his mates and friends. We’ve got Fontaines DC confirmed so far, and I’m so, so excited because I absolutely adore them boys. Their last record was second to none, you know, it was amazing. It’s going to be a really exciting night. I’m just embracing it, man. I’m excited. Just the fact that you mentioned artists like Queens Of The Stone Age and Arctic Monkeys has put a shiver up my spine. We’re here now and we’ve got to fucking pretend that we know what we’re doing!”

He then added: “I’m absolutely psyched to be playing Finsbury Park. What a mad night this is going to be. Some huge artists have played there over the years, and it seems crazy that we will headline it next Summer. I’m bringing some friends along too, it’s gonna be wild. Cannot wait.”

As for his other live plans for 2022, Fender went on to say “We’ve got a big arena tour coming up too. We did a lot of dates this year. Festival-wise I think we’re doing Glastonbury, and whatever ones we didn’t do last year I think we’re doing this year.”

2021 has been a great year for Sam Fender with Seventeen Going Under making it to Number 1 in the UK charts on its release in October 2021 and the title track recently making the musician a star on TikTok. The Finsbury Park show will follow on from his tour of the UK and Ireland in March/April 2022 and his four-nights supporting The Killers in London and Dublin in June.

Tickets will go on pre-sale from 9 am Wednesday, December 15, before then going on general sale from 9 am Friday, December 17, and will be available to purchase here.

The British songstress will perform at the festival on 1^st July -2 July 2022 at the capitol’s famous park. Adele took to Twitter to announce the news.

The two-day summer event will mark the first time Adele has performed within the UK since 2017. The Grammy-award winning singer last hit the road in 2017 when she embarked on her Adele Live tour. The tour was in support of her third studio album 25 and was also her third concert tour. The series of shows were global, starting in 2016 within the UK and continued into Europe and North America. Unfortunately, when the singer suffered damaged vocal cords two Wembley Arena were cancelled.

The 33-year-old singer made her triumphant return to the charts this week with her new single “Easy On Me”. The single achieved record-breaking success within sales and streaming and debuted at number one. The new track racked up an impressive 217,300 chart sales within its first week and broke the previous chart sales record. The highest figure was previously held by Ed Sheeran for his single “Shape Of You” which accumulated 226,800 chart sales within its first week.

“Easy On Me” is Adele’s first release in six years and has been taken from singer’s upcoming album as the lead single. The singer’s upcoming fourth studio album 30 is set to be released on 19^th November 2021. The news of a new release will always lead to refreshed interest in an artist’s back catalogue. Two of Adele’s previous hits have re-entered the charts this week, “When We Were Young” landed at number 25 and “Someone Like You” re-entered at number 34.

Adele’s new track marks her third number one single. Her first number one single, “Someone Like You” was released on 24 January 2011 and spent five weeks at the top spot. The single sired many accolades including the 2012 Grammy award for Best Pop Solo Performance. The singer’s second number one, “Hello”, was released on 23^rd October 2015 and enjoyed the most profitable opening week for sales in three years. The accompanied music video was directed by Canadian filmmaker Xavier Dolan who also directed the video for “Easy On Me”.

It was announced earlier in the year that Sir Elton John would also be performing at the festival. The legendary artist will take the stage on Friday 24^th June 2022, the performance will be part of the pianist’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road the Final tour. The singer will be joined by special guests who have yet to be confirmed. Also announced within the festival’s line up include two more highly influential bands. Grunge legends Pearl Jam will also perform two shows on Friday 8^th July and Saturday 9^th July 2022, the group will be joined by fellow 90’s icons Pixies in their Friday performance. 80’s hitmakers Duran Duran will perform at the festival on Sunday 10^th July 2022 with special guests Nile Rodgers, CHIC and more guests to be confirmed.

The show will not just be the band’s first live performance in two years but will also mark the O2 arena’s reopening, the famous venue was forced to temporally closed its doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions which have been put in place due to the health crisis. The free show will be in support of the NHS staff who have proceeded to be on the front lines of the current health crisis, NHS workers and their families will be able to attend the concert by showing their NHS pass along with their tickets. The gig will take place a day before the band’s original rescheduled date on 11th August 2021, the sold-out event will also take place at O2 Arena.

The group took to their Instagram page to announce the news, the post also featured a message of thanks from drummer Russel Hobbs.

The O2 Arena’s VP and General Manager, Steve Sayer, has also commented on the importance of the show as well as the venue’s excitement to be back at business. “This is such a big moment for us. Our first live show in over 500 days, with one of the UK’s best bands playing to an audience made up of NHS staff and their families. We have missed the fans and live performances so much, we couldn’t be more proud to reopen with this event and to welcome such a great audience.”

The live dates in August will not be the group’s only live performances, the group has also been announced to play at Primavera Sound Festival in 2022. The festival is set to take place at the Parc del Forum located in Barcelona Spain and will be held across two weekends in the month of June. Over the two weekends, 2-4 June 2022 and 9-11 June 2022, ticket-holders will get to see over 400 acts perform. Other acts including Gorillaz on the line up include Lorde, Tame Impala and indie icons The Strokes.

The group consists of non-virtual and virtual members, the non-virtual bandmates include Blur member Damon Albarn, comic book artist Jamie Hewlett and producer Remi Kabaka Jr. The ‘Feel Good Inc’ performers also include virtual and animated bandmates, 2-D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel Hobbs. The band recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut album ‘Gorillaz’ released on 26th March 2021. The album featured the now-legendary track ‘Clint Eastwood’ which launched the group into immense popularity, the album also gained the group entry in the Guinness Book of World Records. They were included within the impressive roster of achievements as the Most Successful Virtual Band and the album reached a phenomenal 3 million global sales. For this year’s Record Store Day the band also marked their debut album’s birthday celebrations with their participation in the event, the group released a box set of six of their studio albums. The box set was entitled ‘G Collection’ and was a popular item for Record Store Day.
