Yungblud Kicks Off UK ‘Idols’ Tour With Tribute to The Late Ozzy Osbourne

Yungblud, also known as Dominic Harrison, kicked off his ‘Idols’ UK & Ireland tour on the 11^th of April in Sheffield. The Doncaster born singer celebrated coming home to the UK with supporting acts The Warning and The Molotovs.‘Idols’, his recent album, was released in June 2025 but Yungblud will also be preforming many of his other notable songs like ‘Fleabag’. Yungblud announced to his fans, “This album, ‘Idols‘, was made in Yorkshire and we brought it home tonight”, commemorating his roots.

Earlier this year, Yungblud was awarded his first Grammy for best rock performance in his live performance of ‘Changes’, a cover of Black Sabbath’s song. The proceeds from the single went towards Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s hospice, and Osbourne approved telling NME “He did an amazing job. I couldn’t have done it better myself.”Yungblud and Ozzy Osbourne publicly shared a very close relationship, and ‘Changes’ acts as a testament to this as he stated “Ozzy Osbourne’s about love. Yungblud is about love. You, tonight, are about love.” In his first show, fans were relieved to hear the rendition as a tribute to Osbourne, being a mentor and a friend, 9 months after his tragic passing. ‘Changes (Live From Villa Park/ Back To The Beginning)’ can be listened here.

Over 14,000 people gathered to see the musician, and he showed his appreciation by inviting one lucky fan onto the stage. He opened with confetti canons singing ‘Hello Heaven, Hello’ and closed with a final encore of ‘Suburban Requiem’. The show was especially meaningful following his brief hiatus back in 2025, only months after his album release in June. The English musician told Rolling Stone ‘I’ve been told I have to take it seriously and I can’t fuck around.’ Unfortunately, Yungblud was forced to cancel many of his shows on the advice of his doctors, making his comeback now even more momentous less than a year later.

The UK leg is due to end in Manchester on the 25^{th of} April, although he plans to tour North America very quickly after from the 1^stof May till the 26^thof July. Fans can expect to see opening acts between 7:00pm- 7:30pm, with Yungblud appearing around 9:00pm. With many of his shows initially selling out, last minute resale tickets can still be bought via Ticketmaster and other ticketing sites.

Yungblud Announces Surprise Release Of ‘Idols II’ This Week

Less than a year after the first part of his ‘Idols’ anthology came out, UK solo artist Yungblud has announced the second part will be dropping this Friday, the 20th of February.

Dominic Harrison was born in Doncaster in South Yorkshire in 1997, having made brief TV acting appearances in shows like Emmerdale, before launching his music career under the moniker Yungblud in 2017. On his journey, he’s had to overcome allegations of being a music industry plant owing to his meteoric rise from nowhere as a solo rock artist. After debut album ‘21st Century Liability’ in 2018 and breakout EP ‘The Underrated Youth’ in 2019, his last 4 major releases have all been number ones on the Official UK Album Chart, starting with ‘Weird’ in 2020, and ‘Yungblud’ in 2022. Last year saw him release the first chapter of ‘Idols’, as well as hitting the top spot with legendary US rock band Aerosmith on their ‘One More Time’ collaboration EP.

At last year’s “Back To The Beginning” Black Sabbath farewell concert, he at least temporarily stole the show with a stunning performance of Sabbath’s hit ‘Changes’ alongside Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, Sleep Token drummer II, Anthrax bassist Frank Bello, and former Ozzy Osbourne keyboard player Adam Wakeman. On the 1st of February this year, they were recognised with the Grammy award for Best Rock Performance.

‘Idols’ was announced as a double album before the first part’s release in June 2025, following several single releases. Opening track ‘Hello Heaven, Hello’ dropped as the first single, a bold move considering its 9 minute runtime. However it proved to be an engaging promo for the album – an ever-shifting theatrical piece of rock and roll opera in the same vein as Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, and certainly more ambitious than the average teen-heartthrob singer would dream of. Later single ‘Zombie’ also made waves with its strained emotional sound and moving NHS-inspired music video starring Oscar-nominated actress Florence Pugh.

Build-up for the second half of ‘Idols’ began with the January release of a new take on ‘Zombie’, recorded with The Smashing Pumpkins. Following a chance encounter backstage at “Back To The Beginning”, their frontman Billy Corgan agreed to work on the single. Earlier this afternoon, Yungblud took to social media to announce that the album would be arriving far sooner than anyone anticipated – in two days time. In the post as well as announcing its release date on Friday the 20th of February, he also showed off the physical presses and the full track list for the complete ‘Idols’ compilation. In addition to the new version of ‘Zombie’, there are six new singles to round the package off. The full track-listing is:

Yungblud Shares Teaser Of New Single With Aerosmith

Yungblud and Aerosmith have shared a teaser for a new single called ‘My Only Angel’.

Earlier this month, Yungblud performed alongside Aerosmith at the VMA’s in a special tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.

They have now posted a snippet of a new song ‘My Only Angel’. With the release date not being shared yet, the teaser does send chills down your spine.

Fans seem excited about this collaboration with comments saying ““Finally, the rock ’n’ roll we’ve been waiting for!” and “yasss dream team!!”.

This upcoming single will mark the first original tune for Aerosmith in over a decade, as their last release was in 2012 when they released their album ‘Music From Another Dimension!‘.

While the band have retired from touring earlier than planned due to Tyler injuring his voice, Aerosmith have cautious when releasing new music. It is unclear as to whether ‘My Own Angel’ will be released as a one-off single, or as part of a larger project at the moment.

Yungblud’s performance with Aerosmith at the VMAs was generally met with praise from most viewers, expect for from The Darkness’ Dan Hawkins, who called them “a bunch of bellends”. Ariana Grande was caught watching the performance in amazement.

Yungblud was a part of the ‘Back To The Beginning‘ Black Sabbath farewell show in Birmingham in July. He performed the Black Sabbath ballad ‘Changes’. After Ozzy Osbourne passed away, Yungblud vowed to play the song at every show.

Ozzy Osbourne sadly passed away in July at the age of 76. His death came three weeks after the farewell concert ‘Back to the Beginning’ help in Birmingham, his hometown.

“To sing this song for you at an event surrounded by legends inspired by you to a crowd that loved you was truly my life’s greatest honour and I vow to play this song every night for the rest of my life.”

Yungblud spoke with NME about the impact the Ozzy Osbourne had on his career. “Ozzy was a character in my life who was a reflection of everything I went through,” he said.

“I was always a bit over the top. I was always seen to be a bit crazy. I was always seen to be a bit loud, but when some people saw that as a negative, Ozzy would provide me with the hope that there was an avenue for someone like me in the world.”

“From such a young age, he really inspired me. Then, to know him as a friend towards the end, to know his heart, and to know Sharon Osbourne… I really started to understand that they did things their way.”

Yungblud Honours Ozzy Osbourne In Special Tribute At MTV VMAs

Yungblud performed alongside Aerosmith last night at MTV VMAs in a special tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.

Taking to the stage in New York, they performed a medley of Ozzy Osbourne’s classics, ‘Crazy Train’, ‘Changes’, and ‘Mama I’m Coming Home’.

Prior to the performance, Osbourne’s youngest son, Jack, along with several of his grandchildren, appeared in a pre-recorded video to introduce the musical icon.

Speaking to E! News on the red carpet before the award show, Yungblud revealed that he still wears Ozzy Osbourne’s cross necklace, which he gave to him while he was still alive.

“To get to know a hero of yours and then he passes away, right as you kind of start to really get to know each other as humans, was really hard,” Yungblud said.

Yungblud had previously performed ‘Changes’ during the Back To The Beginning show at Villa Park in Birmingham , later releasing a live version with all the process going to charity.

In an interview with Rock Sound, Yungblud said: “This was hands down one of the biggest moments of my life. I got to stand on stage and honour one of my heroes and the fact that it has touched so many is truly overwhelming.”

“The best part about this release is that we can take such a monumental moment, immortalise it on tape, release it and donate all the money to such important causes in Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorns Children’s Hospice. Yungblud’s Premiere Of His New Documentary ‘Are You Ready, Boy?

Yungblud premiered his new documentary titled ‘Are You Ready, Boy?’ in London this week, on August 12. The premiere took place at Leicester Square in London, a week ahead of his worldwide theatre release.

‘Yungblud. Are You Ready, Boy?’ is the singers new feature-length documentary created by Emmy and BAFTA award winning director Paul Dugdale, known for his work‘The Prodigy: World’s On Fire’, ‘Adele One Night Only’, ‘ariana grande: excuse me, i love you;’, ‘The Rolling Stones: Havana Moon’, and more.

This documentary follows the musician at a pivotal moment in his career after releasing his successful album ‘Idols’, which topped the UK official album charts. It offers a look into his creative process as an artist, specifically following the making of his fourth studio album, ‘Idols’. The documentary was recorded at Berlin’s Hansa Studios and features twelve brand new performances.

Yungblud brought his parents, Justin and Samantha Harrison, to the premiere. During the premiere, he reflected on working with award-winning director Dugdale, explaining that it has been “a crazy journey” getting to work with him and that “when I had this idea, my bucket list director was Paul [Dugdale] because I knew he’d tell the story with truth and authenticity,”.

Yungblud felt honored, explaining that “This film had to be made. People need to see what it takes to make an album of this ambition. The whole point of going to Hansa Studios and this whole album was about relinquishing a pedestal, walking amongst giants, and seeing if you can do it. It’s also a story of friendship and love; you have to be willing to allow the uncomfortable and the scary to be shown to the world.” In his trailer for the upcoming documentary, Yungblud discloses that he needs to “figure out who I am as an adult, as a man”. The singer also recently released a video on Instagram where he shares that his fans “are my biggest drive, this community they are my heartbeat, but it’s not within my control if they stay or they go”.

‘Yungblud. Are You Ready, Boy?’ allows for a space to show what it truly takes to make an album with the focus on ‘Idols’. The singer wanted to “make a film that truly documents where we are right now, at this moment, around the release of my most ambitious album to date,”. This documentary shows a generational artist finding his own voice.

Yungblud Opens London Store and Fan Club

Yungblud announced the opening of his first ever store and fan club Beautifully Romanticised, Accidentally Traumatised (B.R.A.T for short) yesterday. The store will launch on Denmark Street, London, on August 7 with “the biggest day party I’ve ever thrown”, according to Yungblud.

Yungblud went on to say, “This building is a literal physical space where you can place your hands upon its bricks and belong. Here we have built a place to be yourself and find people with similar ideas to you. Whether it be to buy the clothes we make, come for a coffee, buy a beer, watch music, do an art class or just come and play pool you’re welcome, all we demand from you is that you spread the love.”

The location is a cultural hotspot for music lovers with its origins as a sheet music supplier. The spot then got the popular nickname “Tin Pan Alley” as an homage to American music publishing. The street has homed some iconic music shops like Francis Day & Hunter along with high-rise recording studios. Denmark street has since become a huge location for music venues, with some of its biggest shows from The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Jimi Hendrix and so many others.

Yungblud credits the street, saying it “has paved the way for The Best of British music since the 1950s. I grew up on the street. It has always been my dream to have a building here.”

The store will be a hangout spot and live music venue, whilst selling the artist’s iconic merch lines. Fans have been sharing their excitement on social media, photographing the upcoming store in all its b.r.a.t glory.

Many were also speculating in the comments whether the artist will make an appearance at the store opening.

Yungblud has been making huge moves with his latest projects, sharing his latest album ‘Idols’ last month. This new record explores true authenticity and vulnerability. He told Sound Of Brit “I never met David Bowie, I never met Freddie Mercury. Everything I got from that poster, or learned from that music, came from within me,”. This sentiment makes his Denmark Street project all the more personal, understanding his music roots and appreciating his artistry as his own.

It was shared this past Tuesday, July 22, that Black Sabbath’s front man, Ozzy Osbourne, has sadly passed, at age 76. The music world has paused to remember the Birmingham-raised rock legend, known as the ‘Prince Of Darkness’, including artists Alice Cooper, Elton John, Metallica, Yungblud, Black Sabbath, and more.

Rock singer Alice Cooper and his band dedicated their show that night to Ozzy, explaining on Instagram that “when the giants fall, it’s really hard to accept. Even though everybody saw it coming with Ozzy, it just took our breath away when it happened”, understanding that “the whole world is mourning Ozzy tonight”.

English singer-songwriter, Elton John, told the world that Osbourne was “a dear friend and a huge trailblazer who secured his place in the pantheon of rock gods – a true legend”. The popular metal band, Metallica, remembers how much Ozzy helped and inspired their band by expressing how much of a “hero, icon, pioneer, inspiration, mentor, and, most of all, friend are a few that come to mind”. “He taught us how to play in the big leagues while at the same time being warm, welcoming, engaging, and all around brilliant.”

Yungblud had established a significant connection and mentorship with Osbourne. The young rockstar who is paving the way for a new generation of rock and roll performed an incredible cover of Black Sabbath’s song ‘Changes’ a few weeks ago at Ozzy Osbourne’s final show, Back To The Beginning. This cover is going towards charity to help cure Parkinson’s disease, which Osbourne had been suffering from, and the final concert raised over 150 million pounds. Yungblud gave Ozzy a matching gold cross chain after the Back To The Beginning concert.

Yungblud has recently expressed on Instagram that he was the greatest of all time and that he “will never forget you – you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage. Your cross around my neck is the most precious thing I own. You asked me once if there was anything you could do for me, and as I said then and as I will say now for all of us, the music was enough. You took us on your adventure – an adventure that started it all.”

Other artists also payed tribute to Ozzy’s passing, including Coldplay covering the song ‘Changes’ and Lady Gaga playing ‘Crazy Train’ at the end of her concert. Public figures and actors including Adam Sandler, Jason Momoa, and Danny Trejo have all reflected on memories and the legendary Ozzy Osbourne.

Yungblud’s New Film Are You Ready, Boy? to Hit Theatres This August

Yungblud announced his new documentary film Are You Ready, Boy just yesterday (11 July). The British alt/rock artist shared news that the film, hitting theatres worldwide on 20 & 24 August, will be “the first full length movie about Yungblud”.

The announcement was posted with a lengthy and heartfelt caption on Instagram as he thanked BAFTA winning director Paul Dugdale for his filming of the documentary.

Yungblud describes the film as a piece “that truly documents where we are right now in this moment at the release of my most ambitious album to date.” in reference to the ‘Idols’ record released last month. The resilient album, he describes, “forces you to look in a mirror and question who you are without compromise. It’s about comprehending what the ‘Idols’ in your life may have taught you but inevitably realising that all the answers came from within you.”.

The artist then goes on to detail his connection to the Berlin location that the documentary was filmed at.

He says, “Berlin has always radiated complete unfiltered truth every time I have visited it and hansa studios is fucking iconic. You can feel the history in Hansa; it’s in the silence between takes, the ceiling above looming over you. You’re standing in the shadows of all these legends asking yourself who the fuck am I and what am I gonna lead behind?”

The Doncaster singer-songwriter’s connection to historic sites runs through his career, as he recently announced his new venue opening on Soho’s historic hotspot for music culture, London Street.

Yungblud has been at the forefront of some exciting performances, celebrating Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning concert with his fierce cover of ‘Changes’.

He later revealed that the performance was hindered by a struggle with tonsillitis, which led him to cancel his performance at Dundee’s LiveHouse. The singer seems to still be facing health difficulties as he has just cancelled his Friday show at Grand Central Hall. Though, in classic Yungblud cheek, the singer shared on his Instagram story that he’d “put some money behind the bar” for ticket purchasers to get a drink on him. He urged fans to “be together and celebrate each other, as that’s what Yungblud is about”.

Yungblud To Open Venue On Historic London Street

Yungblud has revealed his plans to open his own venue at a historic cultural hotspot in Soho, South London.

In a new interview with the Daily Star, it has been revealed that the musician intends to open the establishment at 20 Denmark Street – a road known as “Tin Pan Alley” due to its long association with the music industry.

The Doncaster-born singer told the newspaper: “It’s opening this year. I want people to hang out, meet and have a physical space to make real connections in this virtual world. There will be a leopard pool table downstairs.

“My dream is to have clubs all over the world where my fanbase can hang out, seven days a week, open all day and at night… London is hopefully just the first one.”

Yungblud has been vocal about his support for the live music industry, whilst also expressing his concerns about the pricing of festivals and gigs, saying he “100% agrees that it has got out of hand.”

He spoke to the BBC in May about the current ticket prices for festivals, saying: “This is just dumb. Just stupid. It does not represent real people. I cannot play a festival where it’s like £800 a ticket. How can you stand on stage, and that’s okay?”

This comes after he launched his own “community-focused” festival, BludFest, last summer at the Milton Keynes Bowl. The first edition of the festival saw sets from Lil Yachty, Soft Play, Lola Young and Yungblud himself.

The second edition of BludFest took place last month with Denzel Curry and Chase Athletic joining Yungblud as headliners, where the Doncaster singer bringing out Billy Idol during his set.

He spoke to NME about the launch of the festival last year, where he explained the decision behind launching his own event: “We’re not even making money – we’re just doing it for the fucking tunes. I’m excited. It’s all about saying ‘thanks for this moment’. I’ve had so many arguments about the price-point but that’s it.”

More recently, the ‘Hello, Heaven Hello’ singer told BBC about the importance of the pricing of the festival, saying: “We wanted to come back and do 20 bands for £65, because that’s the way it should be. In this world, there is nothing you can’t achieve if you are doing it from a place of truth, and for the right reason.”

English singer-songwriter, Yungblud, performed at both Ozzy Osbourne’s final Black Sabbath show and the Rock Werchter festival on the same day this past weekend, July 5.

The iconic rock band, Black Sabbath celebrated their journey with a farewell concert, ‘Back To The Beginning’ at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. Early afternoon of the all-day concert, Yungblud led a supergroup that included Nuno Bettencourt, guitarist of Extreme, II from Sleep Token, and Adam Wakeman, keyboardist and guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne’s band.

Yungblud performed the song ‘Changes’ from Black Sabbath’s 1972 album ‘Vol. 4’. He dedicated the song to the late football player, Diogo Jota, who passed last week in a vehicle collision. His performance has been widely praised for the emotional intensity, powerful vocals, and connection with the audience he brought to the stage. The singer’s performance was not only a musical tribute but also an appreciation of Jota’s career and impact on his fans.

He performed amongst an incredible lineup of rock legends including Metallica, Alice In Chains, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, and ending with Ozzy Osbourne, and Black Sabbath.

As Black Sabbath, amongst other bands, reach the end of an era, it raises questions about the future of rock, allowing Yungblud to showcase his talent and connection with the music community and his fans, bringing a new generation to light into the rock scene.

Later that same day, Yungblud traveled to Belgium for the Rock Werchter festival. English singer Sam Fender had to back out of the performance due to a haemorrhaged vocal cord, and Yungblud stepped in to headline the festival. His set was due to start at 11:30 pm, which allowed the singer enough time to make a stop in Birmingham for a memorable appearance at Black Sabbath’s final show.

His set list incorporated songs from a mix of different albums, including ‘Hello Heaven, Hello’, ‘The Funeral’, ‘Lovesick Lullaby’, ‘parents’, ‘cotton candy’, ‘Monday Murder’, ‘War’, and ‘Zombie’. Yungblud also performed a cover of ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’ from the Verve and ‘I Think I’m OKAY’, his song with MGK and Travis Barker.

Yungblud’s recent album ‘Idols’ has become a massive success since its release, reaching the number one spot on the UK Album Charts for three weeks. Yungblud has upcoming performances at different festivals this summer, including the Open Flair Festival in Germany and Summer Sonic in Tokyo.
