Wolf Alice have announced additional date to, their shows in Manchester and London, conclude their world tour which was in support of their ‘Visions Of A Life’ tour. The London-based four-piece, released their second LP, which was released on the 29th of September 2017, to five-star reviews dubbing the record as “bold, brave, and magnificent.”

In an NME cover feature at the time of the album’s release, frontwoman Ellie Rowsell, said: “The main thing we learned from making the first album is that you only regret the things you don’t do. This time around, if we had an inkling of an idea, even if it seemed a bit silly, we’d try it out and see what happened.”

The band admitted that they’re “itching” to get a third LP underway, and with the success of ‘Visions Of A Life’ they have announced a pair of celebratory ‘parties’ to end the ‘Visions Of A Life’ era. In a Facebook post, the band, said: “The reception to ‘Visions Of A Life’ has been extremely humbling and with an itch to write new stuff, we will be rounding off the campaign with a big hurrah and party at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse and London’s Brixton Academy.”

The group will play the following shows – now including an extra show at The O2 Academy Brixton on Thursday December 20. Wolf Alice have toured the UK extensively in 2018, playing stadium supporting slots for Foo Fighters, Liam Gallagher and Queens of the Stone Age. The band have also been regulars on the 2018 festival circuit, with the highlight being their headline set on the BBC Radio 1 stage at the Reading and Leeds Festival.

In the run-up to December Wolf Alice’s schedule will remain full with dates scheduled in Europe, Australia, South Africa and Asia this autumn as part of their current world tour. The band will be returning to the UK briefly on 17 October to play a special headline set after the 2018 Q Awards Ceremony at London’s Roundhouse.

Visions Of A Life’ was recently nominated for the Mercury Prize, and when sked what they’d spend the £25,000 prize money on if they were to win the Mercury, singer Rowsell said: “I don’t know, it’s a lot of money so I’d have to think about that quite carefully. We could use some kind of space. I’d love to have our own studio where we could just write music wherever we wanted. That’s the difficult thing about London.”

Rowsell continued: “We’re all getting really excited about the idea of making new music at the moment. We’re actually looking for somewhere to start writing in London. We’ve got a long way off; we’ve got festival season and then we’re going to Australia, we’re going to New Zealand, but we’re excited about making new music – which is always a good sign for us.”
