Louis Tomlinson was the last One Direction member to release his solo debut album. The release of his first album “Walls” was supposed to be followed by a worldwide tour. But after the “Louis Tomlinson world tour” kicked off in March, the tour had to be paused after only two shows in Barcelona and Madrid due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. On Thursday, 16th July, the singer took to his social media platforms to reveal the new tour dates, dated for next year.

The tour already got postponed to this summer, with the new UK dates set for September, but now the 28-year-old had to reschedule them once again. His first solo tour will now take place in 2021, with the UK dates set for February. “Can’t wait to get back on the road! See you all soon.”, Tomlinson tweeted. All tickets for the already sold out UK shows remain valid for the rescheduled dates.

There are five UK dates in total, with two shows at London’s Roundhouse, Manchester, Glasgow and Tomlinson’s hometown Doncaster, as well as numerous shows across Europe and America, Australia and Japan. His only New Zealand concert in Auckland had to be cancelled due to scheduling issues.

The singer released his debut album “Walls” on January 31st, after fans had been waiting for nearly five years. It has peaked at number 4 in the UK charts and also hit number 4 on the Billboard 100. The album, which includes songs like “Always You” or “Habit” follows the release of singles like “Back to You” with Bebe Rexha, “Two of Us”, which is dedicated to his mother who passed away in 2016, “Don’t Let It Break Your Heart”, “Kill My Mind” and his collaboration with DJ Steve Aoki, called “Just Hold On”.

The 28-year old recently announced his departure from Syco Records, the label under which One Direction were signed to X-Factor judge Simon Cowell. Tomlinson was the only member of the band who was still signed to Cowell as a solo artist, but has now also said his goodbyes to Cowell, after he spent the 2018 X-Factor edition as a judge on Cowell’s show.

Kings of Leon have announced that they will be returning to the UK in February, stopping at five cities including Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle, Liverpool and Glasgow.

The band from Nashville, Tennessee are getting ready to release their new album WALLS, which stands for We Are Like Love Songs, on 14 October.

In an interview with NME about the band’s past, lead singer and frontman Caleb Followill said: “If there was a movie made of our lives, in the last few years we had a lot of edge. Those are the moments in the movie that you’d wanna watch!

“What we were doing early on was storybook, classic, what a band should be; the drugs and the booze and the girls. Now we consider what we’re doing a little more and if that’s losing your edge… maybe, I dunno. When you look at the bands that still had their edge, most of them, their music is shit so it doesn’t f****** matter about the edge.”

Kings of Leon formed in 2000 and have been a huge success in the UK, with nine Top 40 singles, two BRIT Awards in 2008, and all three of the band’s albums at the time peaked in the top five of the UK Albums Chart. Their biggest singles include ‘Sex on Fire’ and ‘Use Somebody’, from their 2008 album Because of the Times.

The tour begins on February 19 and tickets go on sale from 9.30am on October 20. Details of dates and venues are below.

19/02 – First Direct Arena – Leeds
20/02 – Genting Arena – Birmingham
24/02 – Metro Radio Arena – Newcastle
25/02 – Echo Arena – Liverpool
