The 38-year-old MC from Tottenham took to his Instagram last night to announce his upcoming project alongside the 5 song tracklist. Posting these images:

As well as this the legendary rapper announced following this he will be ready to move on to the next chapter in his life. This news comes months after the rapper/designer/artist announced he will retire from music.

Skepta has had a good 2021 away from music releasing his collaboration boot and trainer alongside Nike, becoming the face of Diesel fragrance and modelling for Bottega Veneta’s most recent campaign.

Musically the MC appeared on the upcoming Fast and Furious tracklist on a song featuring the late Pop Smoke and Asap Rocky.

The 38 has had a legendary career musically and commercially releasing 7 studio project and working with brands such as The Havana club, Nike, Diesel and his own brand Mains.

The mercury prize winner recently announced his retirement following the release of his track ‘Dimensions’ alongside producer Jae5 and Nigerian artist Rema, the upcoming project ‘All in’ is expected to be the last project from the legendary grime star.

Now or Never comprises sixteen tracks. Giggs enlisted multiple stellar collaborations for the mammoth album, working with the likes of Kyze, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and Aystar. Tiny Boost, Demarco Obongjayar, Jorga Smith, Dave and Emelie Sandé were also recruited for Giggs’ star-studded album. 

Giggs and Kyze for 100 Reps, where the rappers sustain a back and forth, boasting their respective excellence. Kyze opens the track, asserting himself immediately. Kyze raps “100 reps, that money flex/Fill up my tank, my tummy’s next” and “I’ll play the game till sudden death/I meditate till I manifest.”

Changed Me sees Giggs teaming up with American rapper A Boogie Wit da Hoodie. A low tempo bop, Changed Me is the perfect mix from two of the best figures in English and American rap. 

Demarco and Giggs channel old school reggae vibes on Everybody Dead. Giggs does not hold back on the track, his razor-sharp lyrics dominating throughout. Giggs raps: “I think the money changed me/As for me and you, we’re not the same, baby/If you think you crazy, I’m the same, baby”

Jorja Smith lends her vocals on Im Workin, probably the most ballad-like track of the album. Smith’s unmistakable croon sings of someone feeling let down by the people closest to them; “I’m not tryna provе myself again/I’ve shown both my hands, therе’s nothing left and/I’d be runnin’ miles, tryin’ to please them.”

Giggs has also released an accompanying music video to Buff Baddies on his official YouTube channel today. Featuring an array of choreographed dances within a humongous warehouse, Buff Baddies would fit perfectly in a club setting. The music video to Buff Baddies can be watched in full here.

Giggs took to Instagram to deliver news of his surprise album. In the short clip, thunder and lightning crackled, whilst Giggs stood shrouded in a white hooded jacket, holding what looks like a pulsating radioactive rock. The Peligro rapper then throws the rock to the camera, unveiling the cartoon cover art to Now or Never, where Giggs is displayed almost holding the globe. 

Fans were clearly ecstatic at the post, as the clip obtained over 199,000 views and likes already. One excited fan wrote “Incredible!”, whilst another commented joyfully “Back Like You Never Left”

Justin Bieber is the second collaboration between Smoke Boys and Dizzee of late, following Act Like You Know (September 10th), where Dizzee enlisted the help of Swift and Deepee for his latest album, E3 AF. 

Produced by talented artists MKthePlug and Gottionem, Justin Bieber has all the ingredients for a grime hit. Its deep bassline, hooky riff and repetitive string-inspired backing track gives Justin Bieber the defiant, attention-commanding attitude for success in the UK grime scene. 

Swift kicks off the track with a razor-sharp lyrical wit that continues to the song’s end. The harsh bars on Justin Bieber are not surprising from Smoke Boys, who are known for taking no prisoners lyrically in previous songs like No Heart, Lock Arf and Trapping Ain’t Dead.

The chemistry between Dizzee and Smoke Boys is undeniable on Justin Bieber. Smoke Boys dominate the first half of the track, with Dizzee matching the song’s initial high-energy in his verse. Justin Bieber is certainly further proof that Smoke Boys and fellow Londoner Dizzee work immensely well together!  The music video for Justin Bieber was shared on YouTube last night via popular grime channel, GRM Daily. Obtaining a staggering 114,000 views, Justin Bieber was received excitedly by the UK grime scene.

Smoke Boys also took to Instagram yesterday to share news of Justin Bieber. Sharing a snippet of the music video, the post received nearly 4,000 likes.

The release of Justin Bieber follows Smoke Boys recently announcing an incoming mixtape, All The Smoke. Unfortunately, All The Smoke will be the final project from rap collective Smoke Boys.

Previously known as Section Boyz, a name they had to discard after a legal battle, Smoke Boys confirmed that sadly, All The Smoke will be their last album together. In a post on Twitter, Smoke Boys wrote in an official statement: “It’s been a pleasure to actually say we’ve made a mark in the music industry with some of the historical events we made happen. Let’s make this one to remember. ALL THE SMOKE”. Although the release date for Smoke Boy’s last project is unconfirmed, the group will ensure they end their journey together with a bang. 

Group Smoke Boys is made up of members Knine, Inch, Deepee, Sleeks, Littlez and Swift. Since their debut album Don’t Panic in 2015, Smoke Boys have pushed boundaries in their music and have been pioneers in the modern UK rap and grime. 

The latest album from Smoke Boys is Paper Cuts. Released on July 17th 2020, Paper Cuts contains the ice-cool tracks One Step Forward, All For Da Cheddar, Details and COVID Drought.
