The new singles showcase the Homertons rapper’s elite rapping ability and highlight why many look to him for having the best wordplay in the UK drill scene. The track sees KO at a number of shows which he performed while supporting Potter Payper on his most recent tour, the track is the intro for KOs upcoming project and suggest that the rapper will look at how his life has changed and try to juggle the streets and music, With the last bar being “On the ride with bros and a wap or mic and rap, I’m walking a fine line”

The change from the streets to being a music artist is a topic many artists talks about, UK stars such as J Hus and Headie One are two artists who have shown how hard it is to try and balance the two with both of the artists spending months in jail after being caught with knives while at the peak of their careers. The news of rappers involvement in the streets is one that always shocks fans as the genre of drill begins to grow wider than the audience of those who understand the lives that these rappers are living and the implication it can have, while many fans believe it is as easy as picking up and microphone to get them out of the streets and away from any problems they are involved in.

KO’s elite lyricism makes him one of the best storytellers not only in UK drill but in Uk rap as a whole. His ability to paint a picture with his words is understood not only by fans but by the artists himself with his last project being titled Drilliam Shakespeare.

His newest release comes nearly a month and a half after his last solo release “Car Door” and just 3 weeks after he appeared on Potter Paypers top 10 mixtape Thanks for Waiting which charted at number 8. KO appeared on track 3 “Rappers Lie” and veered away from his normal style using a more melodic flow on the track which currently sits on just under 400,000 Spotify streams without any official video.

The video for KOs new track “Fine Line (intro) is available to watch here, with his project set to release on the 26th of November.

The cover art for Loskis new project takes inspiration from G Herbos Humble Beast project with the portrait photo of the artist with red tape over his mouth. Loski is one of few UK drill rappers who started in its early years, having first dropped music in 2016.

Loskis music was a shock to the UK scene when he first dropped with his raw and unfiltered lyrics often speaking out on events that have happened or calling people out by their name. In his 5 year career, Loski has had many legal problems, going to jail twice and having a number of rulings that censored the music he was allowed to put out. The censorship became so embedded in the drill sound as the genre increased in popularity with the police setting rules and regulations that censored the music that was being produced.

In the trailer for his new project Censored, Loski is seen to pull the tape from his mouth, after being released from prison following a year and a half long case after the rapper was caught with a loaded gun. The removal of the tape over his mouth was almost a sign that the rapper is free of the censorship and police ruling that he was previously under.

Censored is a 10 track project and features 3 artists. Northwest Londons Suspect features on the previously released “Woosh and push” which was released 2 weeks ago and currency sits on 650 thousand views on Loskis youtube channel. The other two features are SD on the track “Break It” and Gee Splash on “Gassed”, with Loski keeping it within his team working alongside the pair from Harlem spartans in Kennington.

The tape also contains previously released tracks “P.U.G” which currently sits on 1.6 million youtube views and 2 million Spotify streams, and “Rolling Stones” which was released a month ago and sits on 750 thousand views.

The remaining track on the project are,” Intro”,” Miss Carter”, “Mulli”, “Rats” and “Rolling dice” which Loski dropped a video for the day before his project release.

Loski’s Censored is available to be listened to here.

Headie has released two singles in recent months, “Pound Signs” and “2 Chainz” and if they are anything to go by for his upcoming project then fans should anticipate Headie one doing what he does best, effortlessly rapping over drill beats that will be infused with different genres such as Jazz and electronic music.

K-Trap has dropped his new single ‘Maths’ alongside fellow Gipsy Hill resident DoRoad. The duo took to K-Traps channel to release their highly-anticipated collaboration.

The pair both hail from the Gipsy Hill area in south-east London, similarly to other UK rappers such as Krept and Konan and Mischief as well as artist manager Bouncer, who has managed the likes of Digdat, Hardy Caprio and Kwengface.

The song was teased on the artists Instagram pages on Monday following their Thursday release and had DJs such as Snoochie Shy, and artists like the previously mentioned Krept and Digdat, as well as Rimzee, Berna and Ms Banks in the comments anticipating the release.

K-Trap is the most prominent of the two artists when it comes to the UK rap scene, having dropped four studio projects since 2017, including his latest release ‘Street side effects’ which charted at no.26 following its release in late 2020. This single saw the return of Ktraps balaclava a staple of the young K-Traps upon his entrance into the drill scene, which only came to an end in June 2019 when the skilled artist took his balaclava off publicly for the first time in his music video for ‘Big Mood’.

DoRoad on the other hand released his first single in 2017 but since then had only released two singles in the following 3 years, ‘S.O.T.S’ in 2019 and ‘Clean-Up’ in 2020. However, it seems in 2021 the talented artist who has one of the most unique rhyming patterns and flows in the UK drill scene has taken note of the success of his long time friend K-Trap and focused more on the music, releasing 3 singles in 2021 and a Freestyle on one of the biggest freestyle platforms in the UK rap scene ‘Plugged in with Fumez’.

K-Trap has referenced the talent of his friend’s and rappers in Gipsy hill throughout his music, and with talents such as DoRoad and Mischief, an artist K-Trap entered the Rap scene with as a regular collaborator, it seems his wish for them to focus on the music may have come true with DoRoads increase output of music.

Maths isn’t the only collaboration between the two, over Instagram live the South London residents have teased multiple tracks.
