Other gigs that will take place include Edinburgh Castle, The Piece Hall in Halifax, and the Scarborough Open Air Theatre.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, and raised in North Carolina, James Taylor’s distinctive blend of folk, pop and soft rock found major success with his second album ‘Sweet Baby James’ released in 1970.

His fiancée, Gabbriette Bechtel, shared videos of the frontman shedding tears in the audience, as well as calling James Taylor “his favourite artist”, showing James Taylors’ remarkable ability to bridge generations and genres together.

The title for the show comes from Taylor’s well known song, ‘Fire and Rain’, which was released in 1970 on his second album, ‘Sweet Baby James’.

Benson Boone cancelled one of his shows in Birmingham less than one hour before he was meant to go on stage.

The singer was meant to perform at the Utilita Arena on Saturday as part of his ‘American Heart’ World Tour, and shared on his Instagram story that the show needed to be rescheduled.

His statement said, “I am so sorry but I will not be able to perform tonight, I have tried everything I can to revive my voice, but I cannot give you the show I’d like to be able to give you with the condition of my throat right now.”

He continued by saying, “This is genuinely the crappiest feeling, I am so sorry, I promise you I will do everything in my power to make it up to you. I’ll update you guys as soon as I can. Thank you for everything you do. I love you guys so much.”

The venue also released a statement confirming the concert was cancelled and that they were “working through all possible options to reschedule.”

“We understand how disappointing this is and sincerely apologise for the extremely short notice and inconvenience caused.”

An update on tonight’s Benson Boone show. Saturday 1 November 2025. pic.twitter.com/APZzfr1zpU

The cancellation of the show comes a few days after the singer performed in Glasgow, and videos circulated on TikTok with Benson Boone complaining about his voice.

Other TikTok videos recorded after the concert in Glasgow show a member of his team informing the crowd that he couldn’t speak to them as he is ill and he would be examined by a doctor.

“As you guys know, Benson is a little ill. He can’t say a single word. He has to go and see a doctor tomorrow so that he can perform in Birmingham.”

“He’ll come out and wave at you guys. He can’t sign anything or take personal pictures. I told him we weren’t even going to come out here but you know how he is, he is nicer than I am. He wants to make sure he acknowledges you guys. But, he has to save his voice.”

This song follows on from their other recent release ‘Boyband’. In keeping with the theme of the album, it will see them experiment with a more playful sound than what fans might be used to.

Earlier this month, 5 Seconds Of Summer also shared the official video for their lead single ‘NOT OK’, and was the first song of their highly anticipated sixth album. The record is also their first new music since 2022.

Since 2022, Luke Hemmings went on a solo tour, which saw him perform across the UK, Europe and North America last year, and guitarist Michael Clifford has released his debut solo single ‘Cool’.

Calum Hood also released solo material, following drummer Ashton Irwin’s record in 2020 ‘Superbloom’, and Luke Hemmings’ album ‘When Facing The Things We Turn Away From’ (released in 2021).

5SOS’ debut self-titled album (released in 2014) topped the UK Albums Charts, making them one of the few Australian acts to achieve this.

Albums following this including, ‘Sounds Good Feels Good’ (released in 2015), ‘Youngblood’ (released in 2018), ‘Calm’ (released in 2020), and ‘5S0S5′ (released in 2022), all entered the UK top five, with ‘Youngblood’ earning multi-platinum certifications and the title track becoming a major UK hit.

The band has also sold out major UK venues, including London’s O2 Arena, and Wembley Arena, as well as performing at major UK festivals such as the Capital FM Summertime Ball.

Tate McRae incorporated her dancer background, trained in various styles from a young age, into her shows and gave energetic, top-tier choreography. Most notably, her songs ‘2 Hands’, ‘Greedy’, ‘It’s ok I’m ok’, and ‘exes’ include a dance break, as well as using the stage and props like a chair for her song ‘Sports Car’. She also uses the help of her many talented backup dancers to create the choreography in full, all while singing.

She also interacted with her audience, sharing personal stories and created a more intimate atmosphere and emotional connection. The artist was praised for both her strong vocals and presence on stage. Her shows continued to help solidify her as the rising pop star of this generation.

The album will include tracks ‘Free’ and ‘Flood’, already available to listen to on all platforms. Lotus explores themes of renewal and growth, showcasing the rapper’s evolving artistry. Simz’s 2021 release ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’ saw her win a Mercury Prize as well as Brit Awards, MOBOs, and an Ivor Novello. She also surprised fans back in 2022 with ‘NO THANK YOU’ whilst making an appearance in 2023 in Netflix acclaimed Top Boy show. She finally came back to the stage in 2024 with a performance on Glastonbury’s iconic Pyramid Stage.

On top of the release, the rapper is curating the Southbank Centre’s 30th Meltdown Festival in June with a lineup that includes artists such as The Streets, Ghetts, Sasha Keable, Lola Young, and Jon Batiste, with Simz closing the festival alongside Chineke! Orchestra. A show that sold out in minutes.

In a talk with Rolling Stones, Simz said: “Simz said: “I’m super excited to be the 2025 Meltdown Festival curator! My team and I are preparing eleven days of art, music, workshops and more. So many incredible artists have curated this festival so it’s a true honour to be a part of it. Thank you to the Southbank Centre for having me. Meltdown 2025 the Simz way is going to be epic. I’ll see you there.”

‘Flood’ served as the lead single and first taster of the sixth album ‘Lotus’. A press release describes the LP as an embodiment of “renewal and growth, mirroring her evolving artistry and the album’s thematic voyage through life’s intricate phases.”

The West Yorkshire synthpop folks Working Men’s Club have dropped a new track from their upcoming album Fear Fear. The new song takes on an ethereal mood that is perhaps a bit darker than one might expect from the young hitmakers. It was noted here that the song is; “built on the kind of crystalline, heaven-sent synth lines that Depeche Mode or The Human League used to trade in”.

Have a listen to “Circumference” down below:

Following the great acclaim of their self titled 2020 album, which was described as being; “scored through with a brooding urgency that breathes new life into well-worn influences”. Fear Fear is set to arrive on the 15th of July 2022 via heavenly. The band’s visionary frontman Syd Minsky- Sargeant remarked on his latest endeavour; “The first album was mostly a personal documentation lyrically, this is a blur between personal and a third-person perspective of what was going on. I like the contrast of it being happy, uplifting music and really dark lyrics”.

He went on to add; “It’s not a minimal record, certainly compared to the first one. That’s because there’s been a lot more going on that needed to be said. We just set out to make the best-sounding album we could,” The very fact that the latest record will be produced by Ross Orton (who has worked with names such as Arctic Monkeys, MIA, Roots Manuva, Tricky and Kelis) will ensure that this ‘ain’t one you’d want to miss.

Minsky-Sargeant has been busy working on a solo project which is reportedly set to arrive in the near future. The singer claimed in an announcement online; “Been working on a solo record for quite some time now.
