Rae star rose to fame in 2019 with her first song release in 2021, ‘Obsessed’. From there, her preppy online personality, which initially gained traction on TikTok, has made some vast changes.  In an interview with Elle she says, “I wasn’t going to let being cringe and posting a million videos stop me. And now that I look back at it, I don’t feel embarrassed about anything I ever posted. I can appreciate that girl and say that was a girl who was going to make it happen, no matter what that meant doing.”. Now, she’s making music with a different tone. Last year, Rae featured on Charli XCX’s hyper-pop track ‘Von Dutch A.G. Cook Remix Featuring Addison Rae’ and the British artist’s melancholic influence can be seen in Rae’s following releases.

Her latest album ‘Addison’ reached number 2 on the Official Albums Chart with her classic pop vocals alongside a new siren quality and dream-pop style. This was heard most strikingly in the most popular single from the album ‘Diet Pepsi’.  Similarly, her image is darker and messier in the music video for her track ‘Headphones on’ as she sings in a grunge-inspired landscape wearing a pink wig with lyrics, “Need a cigarette to make me feel better”.

Many fans were shocked to see her smoking a cigarette and posted on TikTok about the “rebrand”.

Following the ‘Diet Pepsi’ duet, the artists gave a surprise heartfelt performance of Del Rey’s ‘57.5’, an unreleased track from her upcoming album ‘The Right Person Will Stay’. The crowd went crazy for this popular forthcoming track, already having learnt all the lyrics so they could sing along.

With Lana Del Rey’s legendary status in tragic romance hits, Rae shared her sentimentality to perform with the Brit Award winner on Instagram.

Rae will be taking off for The Addison Tour this summer, performing in Dublin on 26 August and hitting Europe, the U.S. and Australia until November.

The Beach Boys are a rock band created in Hawthorne California in 1961. The original members were three brothers, Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson, their cousin, Mike Love, and Al Jardine. There are four remaining members, including two original members (Brian Wilson and Al Jardine), with Mike Love and Bruce Johnston. Their sound was highly influenced by 1950s rock and roll and R&B. They also ventured into classical and jazz elements due to Brian Wilson’s influence. Their work is iconic in both the rock and pop world, having sold over 100 million albums across the world. Among their most popular songs are “Good Vibrations”, “Surf’s Up” and “Wouldn’t it be Nice”. They have performed in the UK before, notably at Wembley Stadium in 1975 at Elton John’s all day concert. 

David Essex OBE is a singer-songwriter hailing from Essex, England. Starting his career in 1965, he released his first song, “And the Tears Came Tumbling Down”, and began touring with a band named David Essex and the Mood Indigo. As his career progressed he ventured into acting, notably acting in the movie “That’ll Be the Day” in 1973. This same year, he wrote and released perhaps his most popular song “Rock On” which charted worldwide and earned a Grammy nomination. He received an OBE in 1999 and has continued to work in both acting and music, still active today. 

Lulu, real name Lulu Kennedy-Cairns CBE, is a Scottish singer-songwriter and actress who rose to fame as a teenager upon the release of her cover of “Shout” by The Isley Brothers. Her fame increased again when she was a part of the film “To Sir, with Love”, for which she sang the theme song charting in the US Billboard 100 at number 1 for five weeks straight. In a career spanning six decades, she has become a prominent long-standing figure in film, music and songwriting, having commercial success with songs written for Take That and Ronan Keating, both of which charted at number 1 and 4 in the UK charts respectively.

Giles Cooper of Heritage Live Festivals said: “It’s been a huge ambition of ours to host a show for the legendary Beach Boys for some time now, and we’re delighted to not only make it happen; but also to have their only UK show for next year! … This is going to be really special – the perfect summer band for the perfect summer concert and a show that will be etched in our memories for many years to come!”
