Alt-metal superstars Bring Me The Horizon have released a new single as a bonus track from their upcoming 20th anniversary re-release of debut album ‘Count Your Blessings’ – and it’s heavy. ‘Dehumanized’ sees the band revive their 2006 deathcore sound ahead of ‘Count Your Blessings | Repented’ releasing this July.

It would be easy to see modern Bring Me The Horizon (BMTH) play festivals, stadiums and arenas to sold out crowds and forget where they came from. Their current music is a frantic mix of metal, rock, pop and electronic elements that has rewritten the heavy metal template, but as teenagers in Sheffield in 2006 they were a different beast altogether. Their debut ‘Count Your Blessings’ was one of the earliest and heaviest deathcore releases, and paved the way for the group’s wild future successes.

Back in April, BMTH announced a special 20th anniversary re-recording of their debut, titled ‘Count Your Blessings | Repented’, produced by frontman Oli Sykes and guitarist Lee Malia, and mixed by Buster Odeholm. The 10 original tracks are brought to life with modern engineering quality, in a way the band describe as it being “reborn, sharper, heavier and more vital than ever” – adding a new level of intensity to songs like ‘Pray For Plagues, ‘Black & Blue’ and ‘(I Used to Make Out With) Medusa’. Speaking of the choice to remix it in a way that was both true to the original while still fresh and novel, Skyes remarked “We can’t have this record sounding like what bands sound like today. It needs to be the best version of what it sounded like in 2006.”

After dropping the new and improved ‘Black & Blue’ as the lead single from ‘Repented’ 2 weeks ago, fans have been desperate for more tracks before the album releases on the 10th of July. As luck would have it, BMTH announced a new single and music video named ‘Dehumanized’ at the start of the week, and teased it with short clips of the band covered in blood ahead of its release yesterday. ‘Dehumanized’ is the only new, original composition for the record, added as an 11th track for the reissue – here’s the track listing for ‘Count Your Blessings | Repented’:

1. Pray for Plagues – 2026 Repented
2. Tell Slater Not to Wash His Dick – 2026 Repented
3. For Stevie Wonder’s Eyes Only – 2026 Repented
4. A Lot Like Vegas – 2026 Repented
5. Black & Blue – 2026 Repented
6. Slow Dance – 2026 Repented
7. Dragon Slaying – 2026 Repented
8. (I Used to Make Out With) Medusa – 2026 Repented
9. Fifteen Fathoms, Counting – 2026 Repented
10. Off The Heezay – 2026 Repented
11. Dehumanized

‘Dehumanized’ carries the feel of the classic material despite being written 20 years later, and stands on its own as a crushingly heavy deathcore track. Sykes’ screeches and growls which made him famous sound phenomenal in 2026, the breakdowns hit in all the right ways, and the video is a violent, visceral tribute to early music videos from the genre. The song serves as a big closing statement at the end of the record, celebrating both old and new eras of the band’s catalogue. Check the song and video out below:

To celebrate 20 years of ‘Count Your Blessings’ and the release of the reissue, Bring Me The Horizon are set to play several one-off headline shows where they will play the album in its entirety for the first time ever, alongside some bonus performances from the same era of the band. The two UK July shows on the 10th and 11th will be at Manchester’s B.E.C. Arena in partnership with the city’s alternative gathering Outbreak Fest, with a stacked bill featuring Static Dress, Dying Wish, Heriot, Rolo Tomassi, Car Underwater and Still In Love. Then after completing their North American tour with their contemporary music dubbed ‘POST HUMAN: NeX GEn – The Third Ascension Program’, they’re ending the year with another ‘Count Your Blessings | Repented’ show at Birmingham, Alabama’s Furnace Fest on the 11th of October.

The Killers’ frontman Brandon Flowers has announced autumn 2026 tour dates with 8 shows in the UK, as well as gigs in North America and Ireland. The tour is in support of his new solo album ‘Thrasher’ which will release in August.

Since co-founding Las Vegas rock group The Killers in 2001, Flowers has released 7 albums with the band, all of which have been UK Number Ones. With their hits including ‘Somebody Told Me’, ‘All These Things That I’ve Done’, and their iconic debut ‘Mr Brightside’, The Killers have sold over 35 million records, been nominated for 7 Grammys, and won 2 BRIT Awards. The group’s shows have been celebrated as a fantastic live experience, having headlined Glastonbury in 2007 and the US’s Coachella Festival in 2009. While still active, The Killers have not released an album since 2021’s ‘Pressure Machine’, though Flowers told NME that their eighth album might release in 2027.

Flowers first stepped away from the fold to begin his solo career in 2010 with debut album ‘Flamingo’, which was again a UK Number One, as was his 2015 second album ‘The Desired Effect’. He toured ‘The Desired Effect’ extensively, including performances for Barack Obama and the British royal family.

In 2025, Flowers spoke to NME about the two “South West” styled solo albums he had recorded in Nashville, with a sound and feel inspired by Bruce Springsteen, hinting that they would be out before the next Killers album. He announced the first of them, ‘Thrasher’, earlier this week, with the lead single ‘Plans’ due to release tomorrow, the 26th of June. The full track-listing was made available this week:

After popping up as the secret act at TRNSMT Festival in their home city of Glasgow last weekend, Scottish rock trio Twin Atlantic are back with a new single and album, and tour dates for the end of this year to showcase them.

Announced with a reveal trailer earlier this week, ‘Separation From The Animals’ will be their eighth full-length release, following up from 2024’s ‘Meltdown’. So far, the group dropped single ‘Don’t Quit It’ in May, a pulsing drum and bass guitar-led hard rock anthem – now it has company in the shape of new track ‘In Your Eyes’ which came out today.

‘In Your Eyes’ is a slower, more sombre affair, an introspective indie rock ballad with deep lyrics and beautifully-pained vocal hooks. Twin Atlantic frontman Sam McTrusty explains the theme, saying “it’s about being at the other end of a relationship where you feel like no matter what you do, nothing is ever good enough.” However, he notes that it’s an optimistic message, adding “you take a step back and realise that in trying to appease that one person, you’ve blinded yourself to the fact that everything is great. Look outside of that window and life is much better.”

The album was a product of McTrusty’s relocation to Canada with his family following ‘Meltdown’ and its subsequent campaign. The massive changes allowed him the distance from his past to examine it properly, and allowed him to reset creatively. He spoke of the experience – “I’m from a family that’s fairly divided, so I’ve always been passed about from when I was six-months-old. It’s all I’ve ever known. As you grow up, you start to view life through a different lens – especially the whole struggle of going from boy to man.”

Channelling the emotions from the self-discovery journey, he also mentions how it brought new focus back to music and Twin Atlantic, saying “My experience of that is particularly painful, emotional and confusing. But because it seemed normal at the time, it didn’t really hit me until I found my tribe, my people, my band. My entire adult life is meant to have been looking ahead but my personal life is always looking back. That baggage is basically what the whole band is about. This is what we’ve always been but with the veil lifted. I hope people hear the record and it inspires them to do that and be more honest with themselves.”

The group popped up for a hometown show at Glasgow’s TRNSMT Festival this weekend as a hotly tipped secret act. Currently out on a run of summer dates, first with The Xcerts at the start of June and now with McFly, Twin Atlantic announced the October tour supporting ‘Separation From The Animals’ earlier today. The tour will see them again link up with fellow Scottish alternative rock band The Xcerts.

‘Separation From The Animals’ releases on the 2nd of October through independent label Dance to the Radio. Tickets for the October headlining tour go on sale at 10am on Friday the 25th of June. Check the poster below for the full run of dates:

The Queen of Pop Madonna is enjoying a musical resurgence this year, building up to the release of her 15th studio album ‘Confessions II’ at the start of July. Marking her first album since 2019’s ‘Madame X’, the US icon is bringing the album’s premiere to a one-off Club Confessions: London event to celebrate its launch.

Her 2026 LP is the follow up to 2005’s ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor’, which saw Madonna blend both retro and modern dance music with electropop for singles including ‘Hung Up’, ‘Sorry’ and ‘Get Together’. At the time it was regarded as a fine return to form for the singer who defined so much of the sound and fashion of the ‘80s, scooping up the 2007 Grammy for Best Electronic/Dance Album.

Much like the original, ‘Confessions II’ has been co-written and co-produced by British artist Stuart Price. Companion piece Confessions II: The Film premiered on the 5th of June and is now available on Youtube – the 14 minute-long movie showcased 6 songs from the album with a cast of stars including footballer Cole Palmer, actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Richard E. Grant, as well as current pop trend-setter Sabrina Carpenter who appears on lead single ‘Bring Your Love’. The full 16 tracks for ‘Confessions II’ looks like this:

1. I Feel So Free
2. Good for the Soul
3. One Step Away
4. Bring Your Love (with Sabrina Carpenter)
5. Danceteria
6. Read My Lips (with Feid)
7. Everything
8. Love Sensation
9. Love Without Words
10. Bizarre
11. School
12. Fragile
13. My Sins Are My Saviour
14. Betrayal
15. The Test
16. L.E.S. Girl

Madonna announced the Club Confessions: London event today on her official website – so far all that’s known about the event itself is that it will be held at an unconfirmed venue in London on Thursday the 2nd of July, the day before ‘Confessions II’ releases worldwide. NME report that Stuart Price will be performing as a DJ on the night, and other guests will make appearance – however there is no confirmation whether Madonna herself will be in attendance. She did appear at a secret Club Confessions event in Los Angeles in April, where new material made its public debut.

‘Confessions II’ releases on Friday the 3rd of July through Warner Records. Pre-orders before 12pm on the 25th of June give access to the ticket sale for the Club Confessions: London night, which opens at 5pm the same day. Click here for terms and information on the ticket sale.

Chuck on Tour will spend its first leg in North America, seeing dates in Seattle, Vancouver, Chicago, Washington D.C., New York, Los Angeles and more. Role Model then arrives in Europe on 11 February. He will play nights in Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels, Düsseldorf, and Paris on the European leg. Finally, two massive dates make up the UK/IE leg. 22 February will see Role Model at Dublin’s 3Arena. And two days later (24 February), he will spend a night at London’s OVO Wembley Arena.

The North American leg will be supported by Samia. And Keni Titus, American singer-songwriter, will support the UK/IE and European legs.

Role Model’s (real name, Tucker Pillsbury) third album, ‘Chuck Timely & The Hourglass’ releases on 7 August via Interscope. It’s lead single, ‘High Hopes 3000’ has been released. Clash calls the track “a colourful pop feast” and DIY says the song “is an earworm hoedown that sees him balance romantic cynicism with a yearning for connection.’ See the music video below.

Pillsbury released his second album, ‘Kansas Anymore’ in 2024. On it, the singer departed from his bedroom pop and alternative beginnings, and leaned into country and folk influences to great acclaim. DIY gave the album an four stars calling “a record ostensibly about heartbreak and homesickness,” “so overwhelmingly fun” and that it, “[uses] both genre and trope in parallel ways with just the right level of self-awareness and humour along the way.”

The runaway single of the project was ‘Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.’ The track was from the deluxe version of the LP, ‘Kansas Anymore (The Longest Goodbye).’ The jaunty dance number laden with twangy guitars is perhaps most well known for its bridge. During live performances, a tradition has emerged in which Pillsbury beckons, “Where’s my Sally tonight?” before a guest joins him on stage to perform the rest of the song. Notable guests have included Charli XCX (on SNL US), Lewis Capaldi, Niall Horan and Olivia Rodrigo.

Before heading on tour, Role Model will make summer appearances at Reading & Leeds Festivals as well as at Ireland’s Electric Picnic.

A tribute show has been announced for maverick Pink Floyd founder and former frontman Syd Barrett, to celebrate what would have been the late genius’s 80th birthday. The event will take place in his home city of Cambridge this October.

Born Roger Keith Barrett on the 6th of January 1946 in Cambridge, Barrett adopted the nickname ‘Syd’ in his teens and formed the group Pink Floyd Sound in 1965, with himself as singer and guitarist, Roger Waters on bass and vocals, Richard Wright on keyboards and Nick Mason as drummer. Changing their name to the simpler Pink Floyd in 1966, Barrett led the group as their chief songwriter, known for the eccentric, psychedelic lyrics and themes he brought to the table. With Barrett, they released debut album ‘Piper at the Gates of Dawn’ in 1967, which spent 14 weeks in the UK Charts, entering at number 6.

Following issues with drugs and his mental health, Barrett’s tenure with Pink Floyd ended shortly after guitarist David Gilmour was brought in to help with his burdens. From there, the partnership of Waters and Gilmour turned the band into the biggest progressive rock group of all time – but many still fondly regard the unusual ‘60s psychedelic rock and roll that Barrett created as their finest works. Barrett’s last song written with the group, ‘Jugband Blues’, made it onto their second album ‘A Saucerful of Secrets‘ in 1968.

Following solo releases, Barrett retired from the music industry in the mid ‘70s and became reclusive, developing a love for painting. When Pink Floyd were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996, he was included as a member but did not attend the ceremony. On the 7th of July 2006, Syd Barrett passed away from pancreatic cancer.

The tribute event has been planned to celebrate 80 years of one of British music’s most interesting characters, involving a live show at the Cambridge Corn Exchange, where Barrett played his last concert on the 24th of February 1972. Booked for the 10th of October 2026, the live contingent includes Kula Shaker, Soft Machine, Men of the Border, Diana Silveira & The Psychedelic Circus, and Pünk Floyd.

The tribute’s co-organiser Neil Jones has said “Eighty years after his birth, Syd Barrett’s influence remains as powerful as ever. His music, creativity and unique vision continue to inspire artists and audiences across generations.” Barrett’s sister, Rosemary Breen, commented “Syd would have been so happy and honoured to know his music was still being enjoyed in Cambridge.”

Alongside the performance, further tribute will be paid to Barrett by way of an exhibition exploring the impact of his works, and a special double album, featuring new recordings and previously unreleased tracks. The album has brought together a slew of artists including former Pink Floyd colleagues David Gilmour and Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets, as well as Kula Shaker, All About Eve, Mystery Jets and Rosalie Cunningham. All proceeds will be donated to mental health charity, with Breen saying “the family wholeheartedly support these exciting events in aid of mental health charities.”

Tickets for the tribute show at Cambridge Corn Exchange go on sale on Friday the 19th of June.

Instrumental wizards Polyphia have followed up their first single of the year ‘Can You Feel It’ with tour news for North America and Europe. The dates kick off in the US in September, running through to the closing stages in the UK in December.

Texas four-piece Polyphia broke through to the mainstream with the unique catchiness and sheer complexity of their instrumental rock music. The dizzying guitar work of Tim Henson and Scott LePage, whose virtuoso noodling on tracks like ‘G.O.A.T.’ and ‘Playing God’ have gained cult status for their difficulty to replicate by other players, is rounded off by the dynamic rhythm section of bassist Clay Gober and drummer Clay Aeschliman. Their fourth album, 2022’s ‘Remember That You Will Die’, indulged in more guitar solo heroics and delved further into their hip hop and trap influences – the LP had an appearance from guitar icon Steve Vai, as well vocal as features by Chino Moreno of Deftones plus rappers $NOT and Lil West.

Since the final singles from ‘Remember That You Will Die’ released, the group distributed their first live album in 2023, ‘Live at the Factory in Deep Ellum’.Other than a 2025 collaboration with Riot Games for ‘Let’s Go’, the main theme of fighting game 2XKO, there was little news – until last week’s surprise reveal of new single ‘Can You Feel It’. Polyphia dropped the track, a bass-heavy, metal dance-floor anthem, with an accompanying music video packed with cynical imagery about politics and world affairs, although they have now uploaded a new video with a full band performance.

Electric Callboy are just wrapping up their summer festival commitments in their usual excess – last week they played sets at Germany’s Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring, France’s Heavy Week-End and Czechia’s Rock For People before travelling to Donington for a main stage show at Download. Their shows packed with heavy pop covers, frequent costume changes, plus obscene amounts of lights and fireworks have made them highly in-demand with booking agents worldwide.

As a result of their ever-rising profile, their UK headline shows have been few and far between – their last was a single massive takeover of London’s Alexandra Palace in November last year. Now into their second year of the Tanzneid World Tour, Electric Callboy have laid down plans for the start of 2027 with the new UK and Europe run.

The arena tour was announced yesterday, and is set to start next January in Dublin, followed by shows in Manchester, Nottingham, Bournemouth and Cardiff, before heading over to mainland Europe. In the post announcing the shows on Instagram, there is dismay over the lack of a Scottish show, with commenters writing the message “No Scotland, no party“. The full tour list is as follows:

Their seventh album ‘Tanzneid’ was announced back in April, with several singles available so far including ‘Elevator Operator’, ‘Tanzneid’, their cover of Sum 41’s ‘Still Waiting’, and April release ‘Hypercharged’. The band put out lively new single ‘Let The Good Times Roll’ and its music video last week, which features pop punk heroes The Offspring, making for an upbeat, bouncy summer anthem. ‘Tanzneid’ is out on Century Media on the 7th of August, with the band celebrating it with a huge show at Berlin’s Escalation Fest on the release day.

Tickets for the Tanzneid World Tour UK and Ireland dates go on sale tomorrow, the 17th of June, at 3pm. Be quick, these will sell out!

Jennings has previously directed music videos for the band including 1997’s ‘Help the Aged’ and 1988’s ‘A Little Soul.’ His other directorial credits include The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (2005), Son of Rambow (2007), Sing (2016) and Sing 2 (2021).

Since announcing new album ‘The Wow! Signal’ in dramatic fashion, experimental rock juggernauts Muse have posted 2026 arena tour dates to support it, announcing them ahead of the album’s release at the end of June.

‘The Wow! Signal’ will be the Devon trio’s tenth album, taking their ever-changing alternative rock sound into new pastures of metal, synth-rock and more, wrapped in sci-fi concepts of extraterrestrial encounters and space-faring. The LP was announced in March with a cryptic social media campaign and the release of adventurous lead single ‘Be With You’, accompanied by a cinematic music video of a celestial phenomenon which set the tone for the album’s lore.

Further singles have dropped since, starting with ‘Cryogen’ and ‘Hexagons’, both of which returned to the classic Muse sound from albums like 2001’s ‘Origin of Symmetry’ and 2006’s ‘Black Holes and Revelations’. The latest single ‘Nightshift Superstar’ released on the 7th of June – the track has a disco pulse, driven forwards by slick basslines and frontman Matt Bellamy’s breathy falsetto vocals. Continuing the neon red aesthetic of the previous media, the trippy music video depicts an alien phenomenon at an American diner in the desert, where the attendants are drawn to a UFO by a tornado.
