These current dates would mean that Arctic Monkeys are still free to headline Glastonbury Festival 2023 on either the Friday (June 23) or Saturday (24). The lads have signed on the dotted line and will return to the Pyramid Stage next June.” They are also set to hit the road in late May in support of their latest album, out on October 21, 2022 via Domino. Kicking off at Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium on May 29, the run will also include outdoor concerts in Manchester, Middlesbrough, Norwich, Swansea, Southampton, Dublin and Glasgow.

Recently (September 22) Arctic Monkeys also performed an intimate gig in Brooklyn, New York. During the special show, the group gave their recent comeback single “There’d Better Be A Mirrorball” its live debut, you can view the music video for the track below. They also treated the crowd to a pair of unreleased cuts “Body Paint” and “Mr Schwartz” from their upcoming album as well as “I Ain’t Quite Where I Think I Am”, another new song that was first played last month.

Once again the Limerick born-born punk-poet Sinead O’Brien has made her distinctive voice heard in her latest single; “Multitudes”. The song arrives ahead of her hotly anticipated debut album titled; Time Bend And Break The Bower which will enter the zeitgeist in mid-June 2022 (more details to follow).

The song cultivates a typical voice heavy mix with a macabre blend of dramatic exchanges and jarring instrumental stabs. Full of violence and potent imagery, “Multitudes” throws you in and out of a scorching fever dream and conjures dark thoughts in those who follow O’Brien’s sickly story. Have a listen to the new track down below:

Describing the inspiration behind her latest work, O’Brien stated; “‘Multitudes’ – the word itself was the first choice. It is not neat, it describes loose ends, open ends. Working with opposing forces and contradictions. An interrogation into the obstacles which pervade our daily lives; it’s a song about desire and creativity. The album title ‘Time Bend and Break The Bower’, from this song ‘Multitudes’, came into my head and made its demands, an idea that pressed on me throughout the record. It has a very active role. The clock symbol is enlarged, it looms like a moon over my activity watching, counting me down to zero. Dripping with self sabotage and the feeling of being chased; it pulls and pushes against the verses which talk of ’Multitudes’; the things that faithfully come back – the images, the words, creativity. It is creativity itself. That’s what I’m talking about.”

Her upcoming album will be produced by the infamous Dan Carey (Wet Leg, Squid, Black Midi, Black Country, New Road etc.) of Speedy Wunderground, and will be released via Chess Club on the 10th of June 2022. You can pre-order your copy of Time Bend And Break The Bower here.

Sinead O’Brien will be visiting a number of record shops around the time of her LP release to play some intimate shows. Fans were understanding and likely expected the tour to eventually be postponed due to the ongoing spread of coronavirus.

The singer wrote a meaningful message to her followers which read “I hope you guys are keeping safe and both physically and mentally healthy. I miss and love you guys so much,” later going on to express her disappointment, saying “I’m truly heartbroken to say that we’ve decided we need to postpone the tour”.

Cabello had planned to tour her latest album ‘Romance’ throughout the summer of 2020.’The Romance Tour’ had dates in the UK, Ireland, Europe and America, kicking off in Dundee for Radio 1’s Big Weekend, which has also recently been cancelled. There were seven UK and Ireland dates planned including the Radio 1 festival.

Currently, there is no information on when the rescheduled tour will take place, though Cabello reassured fans that it will be as soon as possible, with more information coming soon. She also said that she and her team have been planning a show that will be “magical and special”. There was also no information regarding refunds for tickets as ticket-holders will likely retain them for the later date.

Luckily, the artist can still connect with fans via social media, as she did on Friday 20th March with boyfriend Shawn Mendes. The pair sat outside to give an acoustic performance of their hit songs, also covering Ed Sheeran, as part of the ‘Together At Home’ campaign. Mendes recently revealed that he has donated $175,000 to the SickKids Foundation to support them through the coronavirus pandemic.

‘Romance’ was released in December 2019 following the release of six singles including ‘Liar’, which has over 200 million streams of Spotify, and her number 1 collaboration with Shawn Mendes, ‘Señorita’. This was Cabello’s second studio album, debuting at number 3 on the Billboard 200.
