The band formed on 2012 and were previously known as Slutface (however the band’s new name Sløtface, is still pronounced the same). Their newest album will be released on the 27th of September and is written with ‘short story approach’ according to front woman Hayley Shea. The record will feature 11 new tracks including ‘Final Gørl’ which debuted on March 15th and ‘Tired Old Dog’ which came out in April which you can check out below.

Below you can see the full track list for ‘Film Buff.

1. ‘I Used To Be A Real Piece Of Shit’

2. ‘Leading Man’

3. ‘Final Gørl’

4. ‘Ladies Of The Fight’

5. ‘Lift Heavy’

6. ‘I Confess, I Guess’

7. ‘Charlie Calls’

8. ‘Tired Old Dog’

9. ‘The Great Escape’

10. ‘Quiet On Set’

11. ‘Impression Of A Car Crash’

As for the bands newest single ‘Ladies Of The Fight’, it is the third single released ahead of the upcoming album and it hit streaming sites last Friday on June the 7th. The gritty punk track is reminiscent of the sound of Avril Lavigne’s 2000s alternative grunge homogenised with the more hyper-pop sounding lyricism being popularised recently. The track was inspired by the interesting concept of the real estate agents from popular reality series ‘Selling Sunset’ starting a fight club. You can take a look at the singles artwork below as well as sone BTS footage from the band’s creative process which they posted to their Instagram on Friday.

According to an article from NME, Shea noted in a press release that the song was written ‘during a period when I [Shea] was watching a lot of ‘Selling Sunset’ on Netflix, and with these characters in mind, along with other TV and film references, ‘Ladies Of The Fight’ came to be.” Shea describes the song as ‘so powerful, like a battle call to me, so I wanted to write lyrics that matched it but still were silly and fun. The goal is for the song to make you feel like you can achieve anything and take control of any situation. ‘Ladies Of The Fight’ is tailor-made for summer festival mosh pits. I can’t wait to play it live!”

And it won’t be too long before Shea gets her wish as the band will be heading to the UK this July where they will play shows in Exeter, Portsmouth, Gilford and Exeter. The group will then be returning to this part of the world in the third week of September and will perform into October, bringing their new album to the stage with dates in Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and London amongst others.
The ‘Spicy Meatball‘ tour has been ongoing since the duo, made up of Jack Black and Kyle Gass, performed their song of the same name as the tour at Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta in May 2023. The tour has since come to Europe and has seen Tenacious D perform a headline show at The 02 in London this past June before revisiting North American once more.

Tenacious D was formed in Los Angeles in 1994 by actors and friends Jack Black and Kyle Gass. Prior to signing with Epic Records in 2000, the comedy rock duo supported larger rock acts such as Weezer, Tool and Beck, and released their debut, self-titled album Tenacious D in 2001, an album that featured a backing band, including Dave Grohl on drums. This first album also contained the track ‘Tribute‘, a song that has since catapulted the duo to worldwide fame.

Tenacious D released their second album, The Pick of Destiny, in 2006, an album that also featured as the soundtrack to Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, a film the duo starred in. Their third album, Rize of the Fenix, was released in 2012 via Columbia Records and their fourth and most recent album came in 2018 as the duo released Post-Apocalypto, an LP that accompanied the hand-drawn Youtube web series Tenacious D in Post-Apocalypto.

American pop icon Jason Derulo has announced he will be going on an 8 date UK and Ireland arena tour in March 2024.

The upcoming Nu King world tour will mark the “Talk Dirty To Me” singer’s first appearance in the UK in 5 years, following his 2Sides world tour in 2018.

Derulo has not released a studio album since 2015’s Everything Is 4, however, this year the Florida born singer excited fans by releasing two solo singles, “Glad U Came” and “Slow Low”. In addition to this, Derulo has recently collaborated with Dido on the track “When Love Sucks” and DJ David Guetta on the track “Saturday/Sunday”.

The 33-year-old pop star shared earlier this year in a conversation with The Sun‘s Bizarre column, as quoted by Yahoo that he is working on his first studio album in 8 years, and will be pleasing fans by releasing new music every month.

“I finally see eye to eye, there’s gonna be more music than ever. I’m actually going to be releasing a song every single month. I’ve got some really, really exciting material as well as a really cool project which is an audio experience that has never been accomplished before.”

I addition to actively releasing music, Derulo has been busy with his new BBC Three talent show Project Icon, which launched in March. The singer created the show alongside his manager Frank Harris, and the pair starred as judges on the talent show alongside pop star Becky Hill. The show follows 10 aspiring artists competing for a single deal on Derulo and Harris’ own music label, Future History Records.

Ahead of the show’s release, Jason Derulo told NME “We are searching for tomorrow’s next superstar, and hopefully making someone’s dreams come true.”

Tickets for the upcoming Nu King tour will go on sale on Friday 22nd September, and will be available here. There will also presale tickets for select dates of the tour available on Wednesday 20th September at 10am.

Placebo released their new single “Surrounded By Spies’ yesterday November 8th and announced today November 9th that they will be releasing their new album Never Let Me Go on March 25th. The band released their last single “Beautiful James” in September following a 5-year hiatus and also announced that they are set to tour both the UK and Ireland in 2022, thus providing their followers with more musical delights with the announcement of their new single, new album and upcoming tour.

Placebo is an English rock band that was formed in 1994 by frontman Brian Molko (Vocalist and guitarist) and Stefan Olsdal (Guitarist and Bassist). Robert Schultzberg (Drummer) was a band member from 1994-1996 and was replaced by Steve Hewitt (Singer, songwriter, drummer and record producer) following his departure. Hewitt also left the band in 2007 and was replaced by Steve Forrest (Drummer) who left the band in 2015 leaving Molko and Olsdal as a duo.

The band released their debut self entitled album Placebo in 1996, the album received attention and placed the band on the musical map. The inspiration for the band’s new single “Surrounded By Spies” came from Molko discovering that his neighbours were spying on him. Molko said of the single “It’s a true story told through a lens of paranoia, complete disgust for modern society’s values and the deification of surveillance capitalism,” The press release said of the band’s new single “Within the magnetic slow-burn of new track “Surrounded By Spies,” no punches are pulled in confronting the erosion of civil liberties”

Watch the video for the band’s new single “Surrounded By Spies” here

The band’s new album Never Let Me Go will be their first studio album for eight years and was ready for release before the Covid 19 Lockdown. In respect of the delay of the album, Molko said “We had a lot of get-up-and-go, and then everything that happened, happened, so everything is sort of delayed by about two years now” When discussing the band’s new album title Molko further said “The title alone is enough to give you a light punch to the gut, and it’s hard to imagine a better reason to shut up and listen” The band’s new album is now available for pre-order today November 9th. Followers are then provided with pre-sale tickets for the bands upcoming UK and Ireland tour.

Ronan Patrick John Keating best known as Ronan Keating is an Irish singer, songwriter, actor as well as a television and radio presenter.

The singer’s musical journey began in the band Boyzone formed in 1993, with bandmates Keith Duffy (singer, songwriter, actor, radio, television presenter and drummer), Shane Lynch (singer and songwriter), Mikey Graham (singer, songwriter, actor and record producer) and the late Stephen Gately (singer, songwriter, actor, children’s writer and dancer) who sadly passed away in 2009 at the age of 33.
The singer’s new album is said to pay homage to his Irish heritage and contains 12 celebratory songs and an original song. The songs on the album have been described as traditional and contemporary from artists of Irish descent such as Mary Black and Mic Christopher who sadly passed away in 2001 at the age of just 32. The singer’s new abum also contains U2’s classic single “Where The Streets Have No Name”.

Billy Bragg has announced a UK and Ireland tour for this time in 2021. It feels like a long time away, but Bragg has no doubt recognised that the best way to guarantee something these days is to put it far in the future and really look forward to it. And many of you will have something to look forward to, as Bragg is headed everywhere, from Oxford’s New Theatre to Folkestone’s Leas Cliffs Hall. All the usual suspects are also there, and Bragg will wind up for a final celebratory night in the Roundhouse, in Camden. You can see the full string of tour dates below.

Speaking about the tour in his statement, Bragg wrote: “In these challenging times, we all need something to hang on to. Like everyone else, my plans for 2020 have been disrupted by the pandemic, but today I’m announcing an extensive UK & Irish tour for this time next year to give me something tangible to work towards.”

He also said the following, as you can see in the tweet below: “My hope is that, by then, we’ll be able to get together again and enjoy the uplift that live music brings, to audience and performer alike.”

Today I’m announcing an extensive UK & Irish tour for this time next year. My hope is that, by then, we’ll be able to get together again and enjoy the uplift that live music brings, to audience and performer alike.

Tickets go on sale 10am Fri 16th Oct via https://t.co/W3HC5Fjluv pic.twitter.com/RRBYEZ1S4Q

— Billy Bragg (@billybragg) October 8, 2020

We know by now that musicians have responded to the lockdown situation and the lack of live music in a number of creative and rewarding ways. Bragg has turned to Twitter, where he is vocal about a number of things, not least UK and American politics, and the upcoming election (we would expect nothing less).

In addition, he has recorded a number of covers and fragments of songs for his own contribution to Clap for Carers, including We’ll Meet Again, an acoustic version of Blake’s Jerusalem, and a short, energetic burst of his own song, The Milkman of Human Kindness. The image of Bragg on the top of a hill, his electric guitar all wired up, is excellent.

To add to this eclectic selection of covers and entertainment, he asked his followers to vote between Taylor Swift’s Only the Young and Jackson Browne’s Before the Deluge, and Swift won by a tiny margin. Bragg, of course, is in his element with a good protest song, and Only the Young is Swift’s take on one, exclusive to her documentary Miss Americana. Unsurprisingly, he gives his cover a bit of Billy Bragg realism, working in a series of contemporary political declarations. You can listen to it here.

Swift and Bragg are perhaps the most unlikely pairing on the surface, but anyone who knows anything about either will easily recognise what their similarities really are. Speaking about co-presenting an award at the NME awards (way back – before all of this), Bragg wrote “I have a lot of respect for her and the stand she has taken on equality and artist’s rights. Needless to say we got on like a house on fire.”

Unfortunately there is no sign of Taylor Swift coming on stage to help Bragg sell out all these venues. Despite this, Bragg is right that we need things to look forward to, and this is a great way to go about it. Tickets will be on sale here on October 16.
