Keep On Smiling is due for streaming release on September 2^nd and a physical release on November 4^th of this year.  In a statement to NME, the band said the album is, “a nod back to the pure rush of Two Door Cinema Club’s early output”. You can pre-order Keep On Smiling here.

In another statement to NME, the band said of the single, “‘Lucky’ is a reflection about how fast things change. Lamenting the loss of points and moments in culture. We live in such a disposable society, we just need to take the time to think and reflect about why things are there in the first place.” – You can listen to the single below.

“Lucky” is the second preview from their upcoming album, having already released the single “Wonderful Life” from the coming album back on June 17^th.

In a press release for the new album given to NME, the band revealed that “‘Keep On Smiling’ was written and produced by the TDCC both during and coming out of the COVID-enforced lockdowns. It features additional production from Jacknife Lee (The Killers, Taylor Swift, Bloc Party) and Dan Grech Marguerat (Halsey, Lana Del Rey, George Ezra)”.

Two Door Cinema Club were formed in 2007 in Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland. The band released their debut album, Tourist History, in 2010. The album was chosen for the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the year the next year. Their second album, Beacon, followed in 2012, reaching number two in the UK Albums Chart. Keep on Smiling will be the band’s fifth studio album.

More recently, the band headlined London’s Community Festival held in Finsbury Park earlier this month. The band had previously headlined the festival in 2018 and told NME, “We’re so happy to be headlining Community Festival! It’s been a rough couple of years for live music so we’re very excited to get back to doing what we do best. The lineup is fantastic and we can’t wait to see some of the best established and newest bands”.

Of their headline performance, NME said of the band, “Two Door Cinema Club are up for the challenge of closing out the day, and know what’s required.”

The band recently announced a run of European dates, but if you want to catch them on UK shores, they’ll be playing on the Isle of Man on August 22^nd, tickets are available here.

The black and white video sees the band performing the track at a press conference, and was produced by renowned French house DJ Madeon, who became a YouTube sensation in 2011 after uploading clips of his samples onto the site.
‘Changing of the Seasons’ will consist of three tracks, and will be a precursor to the bands third studio album, which has been tentatively given a release date of early 2015.

The trio, who hail from County Down in Northern Ireland, released their second studio album, ‘Beacon’ in August 2012, and have spent this year touring extensively, with appearances at Glastonbury, T in the Park and V Festival. They are scheduled to tour in the United States, Asia and Europe, before finishing their year with a gig at London’s 02 Arena on the 13th December.
