This fresh announcement will see the label take over The Wishing Well at Glastonbury this Friday the 28th of June between 11pm-6am. The set will include performances from Moonchild Sanelly, Miso Extra, Future Bounce B2B DJs, and other Transgressive DJs however fans are still waiting on the full-line up to be released.

The independent label, which also consists of a publisher and management company, will then head to Latitude Festival later this summer on July 25th to stage the Sunrise Arena which includes acts from he WAEVE, Graham Coxon, Mystery Jets, KOKOKO!, HotWax and a DJ set from Let’s Eat Grandma – these are some of Transgressive’s more revered creatives. Some of these show stoppers will also be taking on Green Man Festival’s Walled Garden on the 16th of August, with sets from HotWax and a collection of other DJs from Transgressive.

On September the 25th Transgressive Records are set to throw a party in New York, where they have just opened their first overseas office. The event will showcase the label’s US artists, which includes The Antlers, Mykki Blanco, and MICHELLE. If you’re interested, you can view tickets here.

As for the previously announced gigs, which you can get tickets for here, they are in collaboration with charities War Child and Music Venue Trust, and are due to take place across London venues this year. This comes after Mark Davydd, founder and CEO, made yet another push for the UK government to provide increased support grassroots venues ahead of the UK election on July 4th. With festival season well underway and increased support from artists and venues alike to prop up these independent, historic sites, it really is going to be the summer of music. Reading and Leeds Festival is known for its love of indie and there is no better place for Transgressive Records to celebrate their own 15th anniversary, than in the fields, at Little John’s Farm on Richfield Avenue in central Reading, and at Bramham Park, near Wetherby, between Friday the 23rd of August to Sunday the 25th of August 2019.

The celebrations at Reading will see Radio One DJ Jack Saunders battle it out over the decks with Circa Waves (DJ Set) following their live performance earlier in the day. Meanwhile, Leeds, on Saturday night, will be treated to some late night hits from Mystery Jets, Let’s Eat Grandma and Steel Banglez, while on Sunday there’s Transgressive Soundsystem, plus a Beyonce vs Drake DJ party, hosted by Bless and Superhero DJs.

Speaking about the hotly anticipated event, Transgressive co-founder, Toby L, said; “To mark our 15th birthday year, we are now able to announce our return to Reading & Leeds, the ultimate climax to the summer. We’ve pushed the boat out this year, bringing Transgressive alumni Mystery Jets and Circa Waves along for the weekend, not to mention current stars Let’s Eat Grandma.

“We’ve also gone big on the Sunday, to ensure the party doesn’t slow down – Steel Banglez is one of the biggest pop crossover names of recent times and will keep things moving right until the bitter end. And what the hell, we’re also going to throw a Beyonce versus Drake set straight afterwards, just two sets of DJs and hosts/MC’s dishing out the biggest jams from their respective catalogues. Bring on the August Bank Holiday weekend.”

The announcement comes after Reading & Leeds festival announced this year’s line-up which looks set to stun crowds, with the like of Foo Fighters, The 1975, Twenty One Pilots, Post Malone, Bastille, Juice Wrld, Blossoms, Royal Blood, The Distillers, You Me At Six, Pale Waves, Enter Shikari, Billie Eilish, CHVRCHES, and many more set to perform at the festival.
