The album is scheduled for release on August 15, 2025, with early ticket access available for fans who pre-order the album by February 4. General ticket sales are set to begin on February 7, ensuring that fans have ample opportunity to secure their place at what is expected to be a series of sold-out performances. Tom Grennan has steadily risen to prominence in the UK music scene, winning over fans with his distinctive blend of indie rock and soulful pop. His previous hits have charted impressively, especially his breakthrough hit, ‘Little Bit of Love‘, which currently stands out as his most popular song on the UK Singles Chart where it peaked at No. 7.

Tom Grennan is a British singer-songwriter known for his powerful voice and emotionally charged pop-soul music. His rise to fame began with his feature on Chase & Status’s track ‘All Goes Wrong’ (2016), followed by his 2018 debut album ‘Lighting Matches’. Grennan’s subsequent albums, ‘Evering Road’ (2021) and ‘What Ifs & Maybes’ (2023), earned critical acclaim, with hits like ‘Little Bit of Love’ and ‘How Does It Feel’ solidifying his place as one of the UK’s leading artists. ‘Little Bit of Love’ (2021) reached number 7 on the UK Singles Chart, earning Grennan his first top-ten single.

In addition to his collaboration aspirations, Grennan has been focusing on his own music. He released a festive single titled ‘It Can’t Be Christmas’ this year and has been working diligently on a new album set for release in 2025. Raye is open to collaborations and has a history of working with various artists across different genres. Sweet, warm, and hazy sounding, it makes sense that Mann wrote “In Plain Sight” on the hottest day of last year. In a recent interview with Dork Magazine, she said the song is about: “it’s crazy, out of all the people in the world, you manage to find someone so perfect for you, hidden in plain sight”. Mann’s acoustic fourth EP You Look Like You Can’t Swim is set to come out at the end of June. In an Instagram caption, the singer confessed, “I’ve never been so excited about a project and all these songs have been so exciting to watch come to life”. The singer seems to have found her home in the stripped-back quiet style as she told Dork the EP, “really made me realise how much I enjoy the folk side of my music and the harmonies and types of instruments that go along with it”.

Though her EP is not even available to the public yet, Mann is already looking forward. She revealed to Dork that she’s already got the name and “most of the tracks” for her debut album.

The ambitious 23-year-old has already cultivated quite a following, sold out shows in her hometown, and supported some of Gen Z’s favourite artists such as Dodie, Arlo Parks, Beabadoobee, and The Staves on tour. The British Music Embassy shined a spotlight on the singer by including her on the lineup for SXSW Online 2021. Her comforting single “Paper Mache World” from her 2020 EP Because I Wanted You to Know featured in the hit coming-of-age queer Netflix drama Heartstopper. Last year, she was nominated for the Ivor Novello Rising Star Award.

Showcasing her versatility, Mann teamed with the French-Korean singer-songwriter spill tab in January putting out the lively guitar-driven bedroom pop track “Borderline Insane”. Listen to “Borderline Insane” below:

On the 18^th May, Mann will be serenading a sold-out crowd at the Jazz Café in Camden, London. Just before the release of her fourth EP, she’ll be supporting English singer-songwriter Tom Grennan on four outdoor dates in forests around the country. Within the announcement, Spotify also confirmed other artists who have acquired a significant following within the platform. With 91.64 million followers, Ariana Grande has been named the second most followed act. Coming in at third place is “Bad Guy” singer Billie Eilish who has a confirmed 66.18 million Spotify followers. In fourth place is Drake, with.40 million followers; in fifth place is Justin Bieber, with 63.49 followers on Spotify.

This recent announcement is just one of many career highs which Sheeran has obtained since his career took flight. Last month, it was reported by Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) that the singer was the UK’s most played act of 2021; the singer was named the most-streamed artist after obtaining 81.20 million monthly listeners. Sheeran has also acquired the title of Most-played single with his commercially successful single “Bad Habits”, the track marked his first single release in over four years and spent multiple weeks as the UK’s number one single. In 2017, Sheeran also won the same double award; the singer obtained the esteemed title of Most-played single for his megahit “Shape Of You”.

The win means that the singer has been awarded two different awards within two different years, an impressive feat achieved by only a few. Fellow British artist Adele is another artist to win multiple titles; in 2011, the singer was named the most played artist and the most played song within the same year. The global popstar acquired the most-played single title for her megahit “Rolling In The Deep”.

Within the compiled data, The PPL also confirmed other artists who have obtained a significant amount of attention. The British music industry organisation proved David Guetta to be 2021’s second most played artist and also confirmed that Dua Lipa had come third, following from second and third are artists Little Mix, Coldplay, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Calvin Harris, Taylor Swift and Pink.

The recently released data also confirmed the UK’s most played singles of 2021. Within the findings, it was confirmed that English singer Tom Grennan held two spots within the list; the artist positioned in second place for his collaboration with Calvin Harris entitled “By Your Side” and also came third for “Little Bit Of Love”. Also included within the top ten are The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights”, Little Mix, Galantis and David Guetta’s single “Heartbreak Anthem”, and Coldplay’s “Higher Power”

I’m happy to say that this year’s line-up continues that trend”.

This year’s headliners include, The Libertines, Tom Grennan, Bananarama, LUUDE, Beardyman. There are also set to be performances from Katy B, A1 x J1, Gracey, Neville Staple (from The Specials), Georgie Riot, The Feeling, Craig Charles Funk and Soul Club, Idle Noise, The Subways, Caitlin McCarthy and The Dirt Road Band. More details about the lineup will be announced in the coming weeks.

Andy Williams, who is the Director of Business, Investment and Culture at Coventry City Council said: “We’re incredibly thrilled to be able to announce the first wave of artists for this year’s festival. Godiva Festival has long had a reputation for mixing top name acts with some of this city’s finest talent and this year’s line-up is no different. From indie-rock and pop to ska and dance, there really is something for everyone here. It’s shaping up to be another fantastic festival and we’ll have more exciting announcements in the months to come too. We are also very conscious of the challenging times financially that lots of people are facing at present, so I encourage everyone to get their tickets early to save money and avoid missing out.”

The announcement of the first wave of artists comes at the same time as early bird tickets for the festival go on sale. 3-day earlybird tickets are currently selling at £15. They can be found and purchased here.

In an online statement via Twitter, John Dawkins (a representative of Grennan’s management) said; “Tom is currently in hospital being assessed by doctors for his injuries which included a ruptured ear, torn eardrum and issue with his previously fractured jaw. Despite this Tom is in good spirits but needs to temporarily recuperate whilst doctors assess his ability to continue his touring.”

With all that has happened, Grennan has made the time to speak out after the attack and let the fans know that he fully intends to return to his tour ASAP. Addressing his followers directly, Grennan stated in a heartfelt message; “You lot are my main priority and I don’t wanna let anybody down and I don’t wanna cancel this US tour” “The [last] 24 hours has been crazy; it’s been madness, to be honest with you. But I thought I’d come on here and let you know what actually went on.” He went on to confirm that he has in fact suffered a ruptured eardrum and a concussion after being knocked out, luckily his jaw was not damaged during the attack.

The Bedford born singer has claimed he is following up on the incident, stating; “I’ve filed the police report, the NYPD were great. Just wrong place, wrong time.” Remaining stoical in light of these events, he later said; “The show must go on and I’m gonna do all that I can to get to Boston and do the tour and see you lot. Thank you so much, it’s been incredible to see much people are showing love and support. I’m all good, promise you, I’m all good.” You can watch his video announcement down below:

The current tour is in support of his second studio album titled; Evering Road which arrived on the 12^th of March 2021. The record was debuted at number 1 in the UK album chart, his first chart- topping release to date.

On his Instagram page, Grennan writes: “I can’t even explain to you how mad it is writing this but…. ALLY PALLY… dreamt of playing this venue from the first time I ever walked into it and it’s now happening!!!! This is gunna go off and we’ve all missed live shows so come join me and my dreams because I want you all there with me!”

Evering Road will be Grennan’s second album, after the release of Lighting Matches in 2018. The new LP is due to be released on 5th March, and follows singles This Is the Place, Amen, Something Better and Little Bit Of Love, which is Radio X’s Record of the Week. 

This announcement follows a virtual concert from Grennan last week, which faced an hour-long delay due to the livestream crashing after 27,000 fans tried to watch. 

Grennan rose to fame after featuring on single All Goes Wrong by Chase and Status in 2016. He has since appeared on the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge and Later… with Jools Holland.

The first track Oh Please came out in April and is about learning from relationships rather than letting the pain consume you. The second track Amen came out in October along with a music video which sees Tom “grappling with his own emotions in a fight for redemption” in a gospel inspired track. His third track Something Better, came out in November and is about smiling on the outside but dealing with a whirlwind of dark thoughts and distractions on the inside. All of these singles are only samples of what is set to be a stunning second album for Tom Grennan.

Speaking about Evering Road in a statement, Tom said; “This album has been such a therapeutic experience, it has helped me through one of the toughest times of my life. Evering Road documents a transitional stage for me, where I felt I’ve learnt so much and grown into a new man, moving myself into a new calm and positive space.”

He continued saying; “Gospel and soul have been a huge influence on me during this album, for me it’s so emotional yet uplifting, and I wanted to translate this DNA through my music. I’m just BUZZING for people to hear it, so hopefully it can be a lifeboat of sorts for at least one person.”

The song’s title and lyrical content are supported by the musical arrangement in the chorus where layered backing vocals and call and response techniques are used to create a gospel feel. The sections in the song are contrasting with the verses allowing vocals to take the forefront, with only a few chords played on a piano or strummed on an acoustic guitar and hand claps and clicks marking the backbeat. The chorus takes a step up in the dynamic with the entry of simple, supportive drums and additional vocals.

The song’s stripped back, acoustic style is suitable for an autumn release and has benefited from a laid back version for Radio 1’s Piano Sessions. The focus in this release it Grennan’s unique and gravelly vocal performance which stands out amongst the sparse arrangement. While the theme of religion is key to the tune’s expressive chorus, this is used more as a metaphor for the variety of things which people put their faith in.

The influence of Gospel and Rhythm and Blues can be felt throughout this track, especially in Grennan’s approach to singing which is at once passionate and deeply powerful. It is a trade mark of Rhythm and Blues music to have strong, emotional vocal performances and lyrics of a deeply personal nature, both of which Grennan achieves in this song. On top of this, the use of handclaps through the verses to mark the backbeat and the simple drums in the chorus show a mature understanding of rhythm and the vocal phrasing shows a good feel for where the pulse lies at all times.

The positive response to the single may be in part due to the online performance Grennan recorded at Brixton Academy to support the release and album release announcement later that day. According to Clash Music, streamers ‘were treated to well-loved songs from Grennan’s debut album ‘Lighting Matches,’ and new songs too.’ ‘Lighting Matches,’ was released on 6th July 2018 and spent 3 weeks in the UK top 40, according to the Official Charts. Performing live streamed gigs is becoming more and more common amongst UK musicians who are using it as a way to continue performing despite very limiting restrictions on social gatherings.

Speaking about the new album, Radio X reports Grennan’s social media announcement which explained that ‘Evering Road,’ is an address in Clapton where ‘Grennan lived with his ex.‘ and it is a fitting title since he describes the whole album as ‘all about a past relationship.’ The album promises to be an honest look into the like of one of the UK’s most sensitive songwriters and powerful vocalists. The emotional singer songwriter is certainly looking to be a common trope with Grennan in good company of artists such as Lewis Capaldi working in a similar style and achieving great success.
