The single has been described as having a silky new R&B vibe. The singer rose to musical fame with the release of her debut single “Louder” and debut album “On A Mission” on August 10th 2010. The album reached number two in the UK Offical Album Charts.

The singer released hit singles from the album “Katy On A Mission” on August 22nd 2010. The single reached number five in the UK Official Singles Chart  The singer also released the single “Lights On” on December 19th 2010. The single reached number four in the UK Official Singles Chart.

The singer featured on KDA’s single with Tinie Tempah in October 2015, for the single “Turn The Music Louder (Rumble)” The single provided the singer with her first number-one single.

The single was released from the singer’s last album to date “Honey” released on April 22nd 2016. The album reached number twenty-two in the UK Official Albums Chart. The single achieved album success with her number one album “Little Red” released on February 7th 2014.

The singer then took a five-year hiatus and is now back with her new solo single. The singer’s solo release comes after she teamed up, with London Jazz’s drummer Moses Boyd on the remix of his single “2 Far Gone” released on February 15th.

When co-writing the single the singer stated  “I was feeling quite shocked and heartbroken at the time which is reflected in the song”

The singer insists that despite her feeling that way at the time that the single was written, she wishes the lyrics to be viewed as hope, as well as perseverance and self-worth. The singer has not released any details of an upcoming album and expressed excitement for the release of her new solo single with a tweet yesterday

Tinie’s most recent album ‘YOUTH’ was released in 2017. On 1st October 2010, he had his first UK number 1 hit with the track, ‘Pass Out.’ That year he also had hits with ‘Frisky‘ and ‘Miami 2 Ibiza‘ with the renowned DJ’s Swedish House Mafia. He recently collaborated with pop singer L Devine on the electro track by Torren Foot ‘More Life.’

 The UK rapper announced on twitter that he’ll be celebrating his album’s success with a special performance at the Royal London Albert Hall on 16th April 2021. He said on twitter, “Catch me live celebrating 10 Years of Disc-Overy @Royal Albert Hall in 2021. I can’t wait to see you all. It’s gonna be crazy.”

NME reported him to of said, “My album ‘Disc-Overy’ is officially 10 years old,” He tweeted in October, “It was a life-changer. Just wanna say thank you to all of you guys for the support through the years. It’s been a crazy journey.”” In March this year Tinie released his latest material with rapper No3ts called ‘Top Winners.’ It was his first release in 3 years. The song premiered on Radio 1 on March 16th as Annie Macs hottest record in the world at the time it was aired.

Tinie told NME in an interview, “I made this record with Not3s because it’s about a ‘Winners’ mindset and mentality,” Tinie Tempah explained of the song. “Having that outlook has kept us focused – it’s the reason I am where I am, and the reason Not3s is where he is. It’s all about striving to achieve more and continue to do better for yourself.””

His music career began in 2009, when he signed to Parlophone records, a label belonging to Warner Music Group. In 2006 he founded his own company with his cousin Dumi Oburota. As well as being a record label, ‘Disturbing London’ also acts as a brand consultancy, artist management, event management, music publishing and fashion label.

His album ‘Disc-Overy’ was released on October 2010. The album charted at number 1 and was certified Platinum the next year. As well as winning his BRIT Award for ‘Best British Single,’ in 2011, he also won ‘Best British Breakthrough Act.’ His second album was released in 2013 entitled ‘Demonstration.’ The album charted at number 3 and was certified gold the next year.  In 2015, his single from his 3rd album ‘Not Letting go’ gave him his 6th number 1, making him the most successful UK rapper.

As well as celebrating his 10th anniversary for his album at the Royal Albert Hall on 16th April, Tinie will also be performing at the historic venue on the 29th March for the Royal Albert Hall’s 150th Anniversary in a big birthday concert. He will headline the show along with Patti Smith, John Legend, Brian Wilson, Alfie Boe and Eric Clapton. Tickets for Tinie Tempah’s show can be purchased here.

“If we saw a human being with their knees on a dog the world would be in outrage. I guess that’s kind of the best way to sum it up,” said the 31-year-old.

He continued, “You know, we wouldn’t accept this for an animal so to keep seeing it happen to human beings—more importantly, to black people, people of colour—you definitely have a feeling of being marginalised.”

Tempah is the latest voice from the UK music scene who outrageously comments on the tragic incident of police brutality against George Floyd. The news has sparked controversies and awareness about racism around the globe, leading to an online movement #BlackLivesMatter.

In addition to the comments on the late Floyd, the rapper also criticised the situation of racism in the UK. He bashed those who claimed that the UK is not affected by racism as much as the US:

“Racism is rife in the UK as well as the US,” Tempah insisted, “and it is the height of ignorance to say otherwise.” The rapper also shamed people who believed in such delusion as he firmly reckoned that everyone knows “racism exists in the UK“.

“Even for someone to say that officers aren’t armed [in the UK], it’s almost like… I don’t know how the best way to describe this is… it’s almost excuses, almost trying to find a justification for why we are better or not. The fact is that racism is wrong. And if racism exists anywhere, on any level, it’s wrong. It’s inhumane. It’s evil.”

“So for somebody to almost have the audacity to be like, oh, well, you know, our police officers aren’t armed and this wouldn’t happen in the UK, it’s the height of ignorance and it’s almost trying to smokescreen the fact that racism happens here,” he added.

In light of the adversity originated in Minneapolis, Minnesota, people around the world have taken part in raising awareness of racism with protests and online campaigns. Music industry also joins force by launching the #BlackOutTuesday movement, in which artists are encouraged to take a pause in solidarity with the black community by stoping posting on social media.

After participating in the recent online protest, the “Written in the Stars” hitmaker posted a freestyle song composed especially as a response to the abhorrent killing of George Floyd. Check out the video below.
