The band Thrice has just announced a return to Europe and the UK commencing in the spring of 2026, launching a headline tour following the release of their upcoming album, ‘Horizons/West’, set to release October 3, 2025, with their label, Epitaph Records. The 13-date run through travels across several European capitals before ending in London, giving fans across the continent to hear material live.

The European leg starts in early March in Copenhagen, before moving through Oslo, Stockholm, Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, and on to Amsterdam. Once in the UK, the band will tour through major cities like Cardiff, Manchester, Glasgow, Nottingham, Birmingham, before delivering their final gig in Kentish Town’s O2 Forum in London, March 19 2026.

Thrice have now officially confirmed the tour via their social media channels, writing that they are “thrilled to announce we’re heading back to Europe and the UK next March to share some new music, reconnect with you all, and play some cities we haven’t played in ages.” The band also revealed that the UK leg will feature support from Lysistrata, a French rock band, adding a collaborative and special atmosphere to the upcoming shows.

This tour celebrates their first full UK headline run since 2024, when they performed shows to mark the 20th anniversary of their album ‘The Artist in the Ambulance’. ‘Horizons/West’ situates itself as a companion piece to ‘Horizons/East’ (2021), with the band following up the initial record after several years refining their sound and performance presence.

Tickets are set to go on sale Friday, 26 September 2025, at 10 am EST via the band’s official website. Alongside this, VIP packages will also be available, giving fans opportunities for enhanced access and exclusive band merch.

Visually, early teasers for ‘Horizons/West’ showcase expansive and atmospheric production, with the pre-released singles “Gnash” and “Albatross” giving listeners hints of what’s yet to come in 10 days. The band seems keen to lean into both their post-hardcore roots alongside a newfound immersive and mood-driven dynamics, with anticipation building around how new tracks will translate to live tours.

For the majority of their fans, this announcement signals more than just concert dates. It’s a chance to rekindle their connection with a band known for pushing boundaries, both in sound and performance, and to bear witness to their new chapter as it unfolds in venues across Europe and the UK. As spring creeps closer, both the release of ‘Horizons/West’ and the tour together promise a period of renewal for Thrice — old songs, new energy, and the re-ignition that many have been waiting for.

New York-born prog rockers Coheed and Cambria have announced that they will be embarking on a thirteen-date tour of Europe and the United Kingdom alongside post-hardcore legends Thrice, with whom they will co-headline. Supporting them as the opening band on the tour will be the ever-excellent post-hardcore outfit Touché Amoré. You can find tickets here, and the UK dates can be viewed at the end of the article.

The tour will commence in the UK, with a date at Bristol’s O2 Academy on Friday 14th of October, and will conclude on Sunday the 30th of October at Carlswerk in Cologne, Germany.

The tour is in support of Coheed and Cambria’s forthcoming album Vaxis II: A Window of the Waking Mind, which will be released via Roadrunner Records on June 24th. Presently, the group has released four singles from the album thus far; “Shoulders”, “Rise, Naianasha (Cut The Cord)”, “The Liars Club” and “Comatose”. You can check out “Shoulders” below, and the album can be found on all streaming services.

Co-headliner Thrice put out their eleventh full-length studio album Horizons/East last September through Epitaph Records. You can check out the single “Scavengers” alongside a music video down below. Despite their album output now reaching double figures, Horizons/East was received warmly, with Kerrang! saying; “For Thrice fans, Horizons/East is another strident step forward from one of post-hardcore’s definitive outfits. For listeners at one of life’s soul-stretching crossroads, though, it could serve as so much more…”

The band is also set to appear on the exciting lineup for this year’s 2000trees Festival in Cheltenham. You can read more about this here.

Opening band Touché Amoré are also more than deserving of your love if you’re not familiar with them quite yet. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, the group have been playing emotionally charged, heart-wrenching post-hardcore for well over a decade now, with their last two albums Stage Four and Lament being clear evidence of the fact that they don’t intend to slow down anytime soon. Lament was released just last year, and is a powerful, heart-breaking document of a man reflecting on the grief of losing his mother. You can listen to the album on all streaming services.

See below Coheed and Cambria’s UK tour dates.

2000trees is known for its generosity to up-and-coming acts. Creeper vocalist Will Gould said as much in an interview with NME, arguing that they were more important to play for than popular festival sites such as Reading & Leeds or Download.

“In some ways, festivals like 2000 Trees are more important because they highlight loads of smaller up and coming acts that are yet to break through. If you walk around that field, you will find your new favourite band. Those smaller festivals give younger acts the chance to play alongside their heroes and get a sense of what it even means to play a festival. It just prepares you for everything.“

The band even have possible plans to conclude some of their work over the past few years through the festival. Following recent releases such as 2020’s Sex, Death and the Infinite Void and the 2021 EP American Noir, they’d been developing a sort of musical concept with recurring characters and ideas throughout.

When asked about how their 2000trees set will fit into this, Gould said “The characters from that story will come to life when we’re performing certain songs but we’re at the very end of this cycle now, which is mad because it’s lasted three years …. Stuff like 2000 Trees feels more like a celebration of the end rather than the start of something new.“

Concept or no concept, the band will have you know that they’re pure rock and roll through and through. Speaking on what expectations fans should have, Gould explained that “We’re just excited about it being a big rock ‘n’ roll spectacular, which is basically our M.O. these days. We want to go out and do something special. We want to create a moment in time where we can just be with each other and enjoy something a little otherworldly, bombastic and over the top. I think that’s really important in times like these, where things are so uncertain all the time. “

If you fancy seeing a whole range of great artists, both small and big alike, then 2000trees is the place to go. Happening this July from 7th-9th, tickets can be purchased here.

2000Trees Festival has announced their biggest headliners yet for next year edition of the show. Amongst them is Idles, JimmyEat World and Thrice. The Cheltenham based festival will take place between 6-10th July 2022 with tickets already being on sale.

This year edition of the 2000Trees Festival has been postponed due to ongoing Covid-19 issues as bands from outside the UK were not able to travel. Around 20 headliners bands couldn’t play this year including Jimmy Eats World & Thrice, Young Guns and The Get Up Kids.

At the time the organisers said: “we have been forced to take the absolutely heart-breaking decision to postpone 2000trees to July 6th-10th 2022. Up until a week ago we were still furiously working behind the scenes to try make the festival happen. We really wanted (& needed) a party just as much as you this year. But after losing these bands, it’s clear that we are unable to give you the award-winning Trees experience that you know and love this year”.

At the end of August 2000trees joined forces with ArcTanGent and put up a special replacement event in Bristol. They run live gigs for 2 days and both announced come back for next year festivals edition.

As both festivals have been cancelled this year, it was a great initiative for music hungry fans. “As you know we’re all super gutted that both ATG and our sister festival, 2000trees, can’t go ahead this summer. Last year we couldn’t all meet face to face so we put on our very first virtual festival – three days of awesome music recorded in lockdown by some of our favourite bands… But can watching bands on your laptop or phone really keep you going for another summer??? Na us neither” – said the statement.

The great news is the 2000Trees organisers keep optimistic for next year addition and shared news on Twitter with a caption: “IDLES, Jimmy Eat World, Thrice, and so many more are joining us at 2000trees 2022 for our biggest year yet!!“.

The 2000Trees festival was established in 2007 by six friends with shared passion for music. The Upcote Farm in Chelthenham, Gloustershire quickly became the picturesque and iconic independant festival, boosting a worldwide reputation as an open and friendly event with more than hundred bands performing across five stages, comedy shows, food markets and themed bars. It has already won the Gras Roots Festival Award on three separate cases in 2010, 2013 and 2017 and has recently been nominated for the Best UK Festival on this year’s Heavy Music Awards.

Last year, thousands of people went to Glousteshire to witness memorable headline slots by Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls, You Me At Six and Deaf Havana alongside While She Sleeps, Everytime I Die, Frank Iero and many more for “the summer’s biggest rock party” and if next year’s first line-up announcement is any indication, fans can expect to be treated to more of the same.

2000 Trees Festival has announced that it has postponed the 2020 edition of the festival. The annual festival, which usually takes place in Upcote Farm, Cheltenham, was originally set to kick off this July, but has been postponed until 2021 because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The Cheltenham even was originally set to take place this July, with a stellar line-up including headliners Jimmy Eat World, AFI, and Thrice. Among other acts on the bill were Boston Manor, Knocked Loose, Creeper, Anti-Flag, Silverstein and The Chats. The announcement comes after the team behind the festival had previously said in a statement that, up until “a few days ago”, they were hopeful their 2020 event would still take place.

In a statement released on the festival social media pages, festival organisers, said: “We’ve tried for as long as possible to stay optimistic and keep the dream alive, but unfortunately we’ve been forced to take the incredibly tough decision to postpone 2000trees until July 8-11, 2021. After 13 years, we really can’t comprehend a summer without 2000trees, and we’re truly gutted.”

We are absolutely gutted to confirm that 2000trees 2020 will not be taking place this summer.

Please read our full statement, which has details on just how this impacts 2000trees and what you can do to help, at https://t.co/ikFTWqUe8b. 1/3. pic.twitter.com/S146MDT5YH

The statement continued, “The decision to postpone wasn’t taken lightly, and is sincerely the last thing we wanted to do. We were still hopeful of going ahead until a few days ago. However, it has become increasingly clear that the current situation isn’t going away any time soon, and the health and safety of our guests, staff and the wider community at large has to come first.

“But never fear, we will come out the other side of this nightmare absolutely gagging for a part at Upcote Farm next year. We promise to deliver you the most amazing edition of 2000trees ever in 2021!”

As of now there is no news on the line-up for next year’s festival and whether any of this year’s acts will return to perform at next year’s festival. Organisers did reveal that all ticket purchases for this year’s event are automatically valid for next year’s event.

2000 Trees is the latest festival to announce its cancellation due to the continuing coronavirus pandemic that currently has a hold on the world. This comes after Latitude became the latest 2020 festival to be cancelled due to coronavirus. Both 2000 Trees and Latitude festival join the long list of high profile events to announce their cancellation including Glastonbury and Isle of Wight.
