The musicians played a gig at the venue on Oxford Street on 24th March 1994 for the small fee of £250 and were supported by Scottish rock band Whiteout. That year, they released their debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’, which reached No. 1. They now want to support historic The 100 Club, that almost  three decades ago gave them a chance to play one of their fist concerts. As the Covid-19 pandemic impacted many venues and concert halls,  the Britpop group said on Twitter: “The collaboration will help the club raise funds during lockdown” and is giving The 100 Club fifty percent of all profits from sale of the merchandise. Oasis and famous venue limited T-Shirts go on sale on Wednesday 24th March at 9am for 24 hours only and can be purchased via band’s official store.

Oasis was formed in Manchester in 1991 by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher. Since then they have released 7 studio albums, one live album and many other compilations.  Eight of them reached No1. in the UK. Last year BBC Radio 2 crowned the band ‘The Kings of Britpop’ in the Official Top 50 best-selling Britpop Songs of the 90’s. Their song ‘Wonderwall’ from 1995 peaked at No. 1 on the charts and ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ from 1996 took No. 2. Radio DJ Jo Whiley commented back then: “Wonderwall has always been a special song to many people so I’m not surprised it’s at Number 1 – it’s an enormous anthem. The whole chart has brought back so many memories of brilliant songs and bands from a very special time in British pop music.”
