The group have reportedly already filmed the music video for the new track, with an inside source sharing that they are dressed as “superhero characters complete with Wonder Woman-style costumes and capes.” The video is said to have been shot at a North London studio, with the band secretly reuniting to complete the project.

Following the passing of Sarah Harding, the remaining Girls Aloud members are keen to honour her memory. The group, made up of the now mononymous Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Nicole Roberts and Kimberly Walsh, are said to be excited by their new upcoming chapter, teasing many new plans.

An inside source shared, “The girls really came back together as friends to rally around when Sarah died, and it repaired some of the old rifts and put things into perspective. Suddenly the reunion which had seemed totally impossible for so long just felt a totally natural thing to do – in Sarah’s honour.”

They also shared, “this has been one of the best-kept secrets in pop, but it’s actually happening now,” with a possible upcoming album and tour being hinted at too. The newly reunited Girls Aloud are said to be “very excited to be back working together, even if there is a bittersweet element to it,” promising that there will “always be nods to Sarah’s contribution to the group” as they move forwards.

The news of the new single has sparked rumours surrounding Girls Aloud as a headlining act at Glastonbury 2024. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, however bets are already being placed on their place in the lineup, with Alex Apati of Ladbrokes Live saying that they have “sent the British pop world into complete meltdown this morning with the announcement of a new single… and given the reception they’ve had, we wouldn’t be surprised to see them take centre stage at Glastonbury next year.”

Throughout their career, Girls Aloud achieved 21 top 10 UK singles with this including 5 no.1 songs, as well as amassing 5 Brit Award nominations.

Horan’s third solo album The Show was released on June 9th earlier this year and featured the singles “Heaven” and “Meltdown”. 

Just weeks after the announcement of his latest LP, Niall Horan excited fans with the news that he would be embarking on a worldwide tour in 2024. Due to the incredible success of his number 1 album The Show, and phenomenal demand for his live shows, Horan took to social media to announce he was adding more dates for the UK and Ireland.

The upcoming tour promoting The Show will be Horan’s biggest tour to date, as well as his first headline tour in six years following his 2018 Flicker Sessions world tour. The Irish born singer describes The Show as “a piece of work I’m so proud of and now it’s time to pass it over to you to go and make it your own.”

In a recent interview with Pride, Niall revealed his excitement for his upcoming tour stating “It’ll be just good to get back on the road doing what I love. Doing shows all over the world is something that I just can’t wait to do again. It’s the best feeling,”

The Show is the star’s third album, with Horan taking to social media to say, “This album is a piece of work I’m so proud of and now it’s time to pass it over to you to go and make it your own. Thank you so much for being there for me all this time and I can’t wait to share the next couple of years of this new era with you. I’ve missed you all so much. It’s good to be back.”

Horan released the first single, “Heaven,” from the album back in February.

Talking to Rolling Stone about the track, he said, “One thing I’ve learned over the years is that society loves to pressure us into reaching certain milestones by a certain age. Whether that’s getting married or anything else that really should be based on our own instincts. As I’ve gotten older I’ve tried to let go of those expectations and just follow my heart.”

He continues, “The chorus of this song is saying that what I have in my life currently is amazing. So it would be crazy to ruin that by giving into outside pressures.”

The new album will be just another thing for Horan to take in his stride after an already packed year. Earlier this month, Horan was invited to perform at The White House as part of President Joe Biden’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Taking to Twitter, Horan said “it’s an honour to be invited and represent my country.“

The first single from his new album, called ‘’Heaven’’, will be released on February 17. He made the announcement of his new single on his social media, before announcing his new album.

Niall Horan later posted a video to his social media, with the caption  ‘’A letter to all of you.’’ During the video, he thanks his fans for being patient with him and explains the process of recording the album over the past 18 months.

The Irish singer and songwriter rose to fame at the age of 16, in one of the most successful boy bands to come from the UK, One Direction. The band was formed in 2010, on British singing competition The X Factor, where they finished in third place. One Direction released five studio albums, Up All Night (2011), Take Me Home (2012), Midnight Memories (2013), Four (2014) and Made In The A.M. (2015). They sold 70 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. Fellow band members Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, all went on to succeed in solo careers following the announcement of their hiatus in 2015 after Zayn Malik left the band.

Niall Horan’s new album, The Show, is following his previous two studio album releases, Flicker (2017) and Heartbreak Weather (2020). The most successful song of his solo career is the second released single from his debut album Flicker, ‘’Slow Hands.’’ The song didn’t quite make number one though – peaking at number 7 in the UK charts. His first solo album, Flicker, debuted at number one in the US and Ireland, and reached the top three in the UK.  His second album, Heartbreak Weather, debuted at number one in the UK and Ireland.

Throughout his music career, Niall Horan has won 18 awards and has been nominated for 34. Among his award wins, he has won New Artist of the year at the 2017 American Music Awards, a Teen Choice award for his single ”Slow Hands”, two iHeartRadio Music Awards and six BMI London awards, as well as many others. Niall Horan is yet to announce if there will be a tour supporting his new album.
