Following several quiet years, American alternative rock band, The Neighbourhood are back at full throttle. The group have announced an exciting run up of new UK tour dates and we simply cannot wait to see them back over this side of the pond. Alongside the mesmerising announcement of a tour, the band have dropped the spell bounding deluxe edition of their brand-new album ‘, (((((ultraSOUND)))))+’ via Warner Records.

This new release blends the bands signature atmospheric rock sound with wonderful lyricism for fans to dissect for hours. Originally gifted to fans on November 14, 2025, all that time away has rebirthed their creative energy, their latest work rapidly amounting millions of streams worldwide. This release marks the bands first album in five years; their last studio LP was ‘Chip Chrome & the Mono-Tones.’ The band is evidently reconnecting the dots with their moody alternative rock past.

The Neighbourhood have since released a deluxe edition of the record on February 20, 2026. Featuring an expansion of 20 total tracks, with five additional songs, ‘Start,’ ‘Good Grief,’ ‘Lulu,’ ‘Red Flag,’ and ‘Bed.’

Formed in Newbury Park, California, The Neighbourhood have been making longtime waves in the music scene for over a decade. The band consists of vocalist, Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremiah Freedman and Zach Abels, bassist Mikey Margot and drummer, Brandon Fried. Their smash hit ‘Sweater Weather’ solidified the band in the alternative music scene, topping the charts in the early June of 2013. The single reached number one on the Billboard Alternative music charts.

The band had been on hiatus from 2022 up until now, but they sure have made a grand return. Teasing their new release on October 23, 2025, the band debuted three songs from their new record, ‘OMG’, ‘Lovebomb’ and ‘Private.’ As of Friday 20 February 2026, the full deluxe edition of the record is available for fans to have and to hold.

To celebrate this new release and reunite with their global fans, The Neighbourhood have announced The Wourld Tour, an insane live run of shows in 2026 spanning through North America, Europe, the UK, Asia, Australia, and circling back to the US.

Upon it’s initial release, the tour saw overwhelming demand, notably for the UK dates. In response, the Californian band have announced additional UK dates including an extra London show and pit stops in both Manchester and Scotland. The full list of UK dates is as follows.

May 15, 2026 – The O2 London

September 1, 2026 – Co-op Live, Manchester

September 2, 2026 – OVO Hydro, Glasgow

September 4, 2026 – OVO Arena Wembley, London

Before this tour announcement, The Neighbourhood’s last scheduled UK performances were way back in 2022 at the O2 Academy in Brixton and the O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester. This UK tour announcement is critical for the band to give back to their lifelong fans, providing them with a community to scream out the words to their favourite tracks both new and old. Grab your tickets here.

The Neighbourhood have officially announced the end of their hiatus, confirming they are back in the studio with new music on the way. The band had been on an indefinite break since 2021.

Alongside the news of their return, the group confirmed that drummer Brandon Fried has rejoined the line-up following his dismissal in 2022. Fried was removed from the band after indie pop singer María Zardoya, of The Marías, accused him of groping her in a Los Angeles bar. At the time, Zardoya described him as “a complete creep” in a statement on Instagram, calling on the band to take action. Her update read: “I was at a bar last night, and I was groped under the table by Brandon Fried. It was one of the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever experienced”.

The Neighbourhood quickly announced Fried’s departure. Responding to the allegations, Fried admitted his behaviour was “inexcusable and intolerable” and revealed that he was seeking treatment for his “problems with alcohol and substance abuse”.

In a new statement posted to Instagram Stories, the band addressed their hiatus, Fried’s return, and the circumstances that led to his removal. “In November 2021, after 10 years together, The Neighbourhood went on an indefinite hiatus,” they wrote. “As we entered our early 30s, we were faced with life outside of the band for the first time in our adult lives. Breakups, family struggles, and personal challenges”.

They continued: “In November 2022, it became evident that Brandon’s struggles with substance abuse needed immediate attention, and we agreed it was best for him to step away and focus on his recovery. To those who spoke up and helped bring this to light, thank you. Your courage helped us get our friend the support he needed”.

zThe band added that Fried had made “changes in his life” and highlighted their long personal history together. “We are proud of Brandon, the changes he has made, and the progress he continues to make. Being in each other’s lives for over 20 years, when one of us is going through something, it impacts all of us.”

They confirmed the full line-up reunited in November 2024 to begin working on new music: “Thank you to everyone who kept the music alive while we were away. We couldn’t feel more honoured to do what we do and can’t wait to share this next chapter with you”.
