This is the Hertfordshire singer-songwriter’s first release since his self-titled 2019 debut album. On this new record he collaborates with producer Jag Jago (The Maccabees, The Magic Gang, Matt Maltese) to create the four-track EP, which features his recent singles ‘Everything You Got’ and ‘Go’, which featured as Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 Hottest Record on June 30.

This is what he had to say of the EP “I wrote and co-produced all the songs from my little home studio setup and I’ve loved the process of working on it from initial idea to demo to finished song. I wanted it to feel reflective and evocative even just in the title. I’ve also felt more comfortable in my newer stuff to write more openly about my mental health. I hope people dig the EP, I’ve absolutely loved making it.”
In 2018 Tonnes, or to call him by his real name Ethan Barnett, spoke about the influence of Tom Petty on his music and particularly his debut album. Barnett was in fact in attendance when Petty played his last shown in London before his death in 2017.

In  an interview with NME Barnett stated  “I love his songwriting. It’s just really great tunes with pop choruses and hit after hit. I was lucky enough to see him at his final show in Hyde Park. That was insane and one of the best shows I’ve ever seen,”

The EP is non stop uplifting tunes perfect for all those sunny summers days and for the better (hopefully) post-COVID times to come. It is out now via Silver Heat Records and is available on all digital platforms.

The annual event is hosted by Angela Scanlon and sees Jayde Adams, 2014’s Funny Women champion, curate the day’s comedy acts. Rae Morris, who released her acclaimed second album ‘Someone Out There’ earlier in the year, is returning and is one of the festival’s first acts to be announced.

The ninth edition of Festifeel which is produced by breast cancer awareness charity CoppaFeel. This year’s event is the last stop on a UK festival takeover as they take their Summer Boob Tour around the country.

Kristin Hallenga, who was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer at the age of 23, and her twin sister Maren founded CoppaFeel in October 2009. The aim of the charity is to educate young people on the importance of checking their boobs, on a regular basis, and knowing the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.

Speaking about the festival, CoppaFeel patron Fearne Cotton, said: “I can’t wait to be part of yet another amazing FESTIFEEL. It’s such a pleasure curating the line up for CoppaFeel each year, bringing together so many of my favourite artists for a cause I truly love! This year will be our biggest and best yet.”
