The singer dominated the charts during 2024 and has admitted on multiple occasions that she would love to extend the hype of her acclaimed album although stating she knows everything has a “lifespan”.

The British artist made crowds go crazy during her two weekends Coachella sets and left fans pondering “maybe it’s time for a different kind of summer?” whilst the screens flashed different artists names set to release music over the upcoming summer.

Taking to her TikTok account, after a week of reflection, she said: “Yesterday I made this TikTok about, ‘Summer again?’ And I was kind of joking but also maybe serious… it got me thinking about it is really hard to let go of ‘Brat,’ and let go of this thing that is so inherently me, and become my entire life”.

Reflecting on the different cultural shifts in music, the singer has been questioning whether it’s best to disappear on the highs of her album or to keep it going for as long as possible.

“You know? I started thinking about culture and the ebbs and flows of the lifespan of things. Then, how when you get a level of success, you can become oversaturated and then people want you to disappear – which I understand, and I am sort of a believer in that,” she explained. “I think it allows artists to retain their cool when they are so in everyone’s faces, then they vanish. But I am also interested in the tension of staying too long. I find that quite fascinating in what that does.”

The singer delivered one of the most talked about set/performance during Coachella, bringing to the stage friends and collaborators such as Lorde, Billie Eilish, Troye Sivan and Addison Rae, leaving the crowd going wild and asking for more.

Young will be accompanied by his band The Chrome Hearts and will perform some of his greatest hits. The performance will follow his headline’s slot at Glastonbury which will see him perform on the Pyramid Stage for the first time since 2009. Earlier this year, he pulled out of performing after stating in an open later: “We were told the BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot for things we were not interested in. It seems Glastonbury is now under corporate control and is not the way I remember it being. We will not be playing Glastonbury on this tour because it is a corporate turn-off, and not for me like it used to be. Hope to see you at one of the other venues on the tour.”

The ’Harvest Moon’ singer appeared to retract his statement later on when a close source told The Sun: “Neil and his band the Chrome Hearts are firming up plans for European dates next year and Glastonbury is on the cards. Glastonbury appears to be leaning back into its roots of rock, and if they can secure Neil it would be an amazing addition to what is already shaping up to be an incredible lineup.”

The band is due to kick off the latest tour Love Earth, in Rättvik, Sweden, on June 18 and will continue across Europe, including a stop at Glastonbury between 27 and 29 June. They will begin the North American leg of the tour in Charlotte, North Carolina, on August 8 before wrapping up in Los Angeles on September 15.

Other artists set to play the iconic BST Festival this summer are Sabrina Carpenter, Clairo, Beabadoobee, Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan and more. Carpenter now set to play two nights after Hugh Jackman pulled out of his headline slot due to a scheduling conflict.

Desertfest has announced that American band Earth – known for their simmering minimalist sound and – will be joining Zeal & Ardor and Elder as headliners for the annual, Camden based, heavy rock festival next summer. They will headline Sunday at the Camden Electric Ballroom.

The festival, which takes over Camden for a late spring weekend each year, will be hosted at five iconic venues – The Roundhouse, The Electric Ballroom, The Underworld, The Black Heart, The Devonshire Arms – between 16-18 May 2025.

Alongside the headliner announcement 20 new artists have been booked. These include some new experiences such as the UK debut of live art experience Chöd, an audio, visual, and spiritual collaboration between Isaiah Mitchell (Earthless), featuring original animated projections by Arik Moonhawk Roper (known for his artwork for Sleep, High on Fire, Earth, Cathedral, and more) and guided meditation by Doc Kelley (Psychedelic Sangha). They pay homage to Tibetan meditation practice through their combined arts.

In a more traditionally true to form style, perhaps, Arkansas quartet Pallbearer will top a heavy duty Saturday at the Roundhouse. Known for hits like ‘I saw the end’ and ‘Love you to death’ the band is touring their current album Mind Burns Alive, a stripped back exploration of narrative, the band has moved away from its historical use of intense vocals and waves of guitar, making for a well rounded sound that will be sure to impress.

Familiar faces are also making a reappearance at the festival. The local heroes Conan are a heavy hitting trio focussed on drums, bass, and guitar. Their sound will be joined by another group of London locals: the gloomily atmospheric bops of Elephant Tree.
