The London festival will take place on November 10-14th, while the Paris one is set for November 15-21st.

London festival will kick off at Village Underground featuring Mykki Blanco and Tyson and Fabric on the same night featuring Anna Meredith and PVA.  Across five day festival, fans will be able to see live performances from Bobby Gillespie & Jehnny Beth on the 10/11th at Earth Theatre, PC Music feat. Hannah Diamond on the 11th at Fire Nightclub, Black Midi on the 12th at Moth Club and Stereolab on the 14th at The Roundhouse. See the full line-up below.

The first Pitchfork festival took place in Chicago. Since then expanded to Paris with this year 10th edition of the show. The line-up for Paris includes Bobby Gillespie & Jehnny Beth, Shygirl, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, Sons of Kemet, Nubya Garcia, Amaarae, Erika de Casier, Cassandra Jenkins, KeiyaA, and Bartees Strange, among others.

“Both festivals will be presented in a multi-venue format, allowing music fans to see the very best of the international independent music scene in a variety of iconic clubs across each city—an experience that holds new meaning following a year without live performances” – shared Pitchfork.

Puja Patel, the magazine’s Editor-In-Chief commented: “After an incredibly difficult year for artists, fans, and our music community, we’re excited to celebrate the return of live music with so many legendary venues across two of the most important music cities in the world”.  “That we’re able to host festivals in London and Paris during the publication’s 25th anniversary feels all the more special” – she added.

Stereolab re-recorded ‘Household Names’, which first debuted on the band’s 2000 album ‘The First of the Microbe Hunters’. Speaking of the original recording of the song Tim Gane, the guitarist for the band said in a press release, “During a two-week break in touring for the Cobra and Phases Group LP we decided to go into Blackwing Studios to record a bunch of tracks “old style” – straight to tape for what would become the world’s first double-mini album ‘First of the Microbe Hunters”. Listen to the song below:

Gane further said that re-recording ‘Household Names’ was “s spur of the moment kind of thing”. For their upcoming compilation, Gane commented that they already had a song written- ‘Outer Bongolia’ and one song that had been recorded and mixed quit early on- ‘I Feel the Air’, which was meant for band’s 1997 LP ‘Dots & Loops’ but that they ran out of time to master the track and thus the song got left out completely.

Gane further commented, “Consequently – as time was tight -all of the other tracks were written very fast across two or three days. ‘Household Names’ was one of three tracks written on the first day and it’s a little bit of a hark back up to the poppy side of the ETK period I suppose.” Gane added that ‘Household Names’ has some “lovely singing throughout and great keyboard arrangements courtesy of Sean O’Hagan”. Gane also reported that the band didn’t use any computer for ‘Electrically Possessed’.

Stereolab’s ‘Electrically Possessed’ is set for a release on the 26th of February, and will include a 3xLP set spanning between the years 1999 to 2008. The compilation will include non-album tracks and outtakes, including ‘The First Of The Microbe Hunters’, never before released outtakes from the ‘Mars Audiac Quintet’ and ‘Dots And Loops’ sessions, and a track named ‘Dimension M2′ which was first debuted on the band’s 2005 ‘Disko Cabine’ compilation.
