Canadian heavy metal band, Spiritbox have announced a huge UK arena tour for 2026. The line up of shows is set to be the bands biggest UK run to date.

Originating from Victoria, British Columbia, Spiritbox was founded by guitarist Mike Stringer and vocalist Courtney Laplante in 2017. The bands style is predominantly rooted in metal-core and progressive metal, but this is the understatement of the century as it is quite difficult to put them in a box. Laplante’s otherworldly vocals can switch between shrieks of terror into melodic RnB influenced sounds. With this genre blending range and an artistic success story, Spiritbox have accumulated a rowdy group of dedicated fans across the globe. The bands full lineup consists of married couple LaPlante and Stringer, alongside drummer Zev Rose and bassist Josh Gilbert.

Both Laplante and Stringer were members of the band Iwrestledabearonce, before concluding they were unhappy with their roles in the group. Upon founding Spiritbox, the pair found a greater joy in their newfound artistic freedom. Stringer is often noted for his technical abilities, utilising a 7-string guitar to morph a distinct, heavy sound into his music.

The group released a self titled debut EP, in 2017 followed closely by their second EP, ‘Singles Collection’ in 2019.Their rapid rise as of a premier modern metal band was driven by the success of the bands 2021 record ‘Eternal Blue’. Spiritbox strategically released consistent singles throughout 2020, keeping fans company during the COVID-19 pandemic, this resulted in them dominating a wide range of internet spaces. Primarily building their loyal fanbase online via promotional videos, Spiritbox did not embark on their first tour as band until 2020. Their success rapidly gained momentum with several singles reaching the Billboard Charts.

Now in 2026, the superstars are bringing the Tsunami Sea Tour to the UK this autumn, with support from Jinjer and Dying Wish. The exciting ordeal takes flight on September 12 in SECC Hall 3, Glasgow and concludes on September 19 in the OVO Arena Wembley, London. The full list of UK dates is as follows:

– September 12, SEC HALL 3, Glasgow

– September 14, Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, Nottingham

– September 16, Co-Op LIVE, Manchester

– September 17, Utilia Arena, Cardiff

– Septemebr 19, OVO Arena Wembley, London

The five-arena run announcement has come in the wake of Spiritbox’s performance at the Grammys in which they were nominated for Best Metal Performance. Whilst they did not win this time round, losing to hardcore band Turnstile, the group still went on to deliver a beautiful, critically acclaimed performance of their track ‘soft spine.’

The shows follow the bands latest release titled ‘Tsunami Sea’, which was gifted to fans in March of 2025. An incredibly exciting opportunity for Spiritbox fans over this side of the pond, the groups last headline show was on the evening before the release of their sophomore record in February of 2025 in which they headlined Alexandra Palace.

The first revealed headlining acts to perform at next year’s edition of Reading and Leeds festival have been revealed, with Lana Del Rey, Liam Gallagher and Blink-182 set to feature. Catfish And The Bottlemen, Gerry Cinnamon and Fred Again complete the star-studded headliner line-up. Reading and Leeds have also announced a further four acts that will feature at next year’s event to complete the first wave of artist announcements: American DJ Skrillex, British rapper Digga D, singer-songwriter Raye and Canadian heavy metal band Spiritbox.

The festival is set to take place from 21 August to 25 August 2024 at Reading’s Richfield Avenue and Bramham Park in Leeds and will follow this year’s festival, which included headliners The 1975, Imagine Dragons, Billie Eilish and The Killers.

American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey is set to make her long-anticipated Reading and Leeds debut, as will London-based singer and DJ Fred Again. Pop-punk icons Blink-182 will return to headline the famed twin-venue festival for the first time since 2014, while Catfish And The Bottlemen are also set to return, making their first appearance at the festival back in 2021. Another headliner who also featured at the festival in 2021 is Scottish singer-songwriter Gerry Cinnamon.

Watch the music video for Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness” below:

Liam Gallagher is yet another headliner making a return to Reading and Leeds, having also featured at the 2021 edition. The former Oasis frontman is set to play the entirety of Definitely Maybe to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the acclaimed album, with his appearance at the festival to be preceded by a tour dedicated to the anniversary of said album.

Festival Republic managing director Melvin Benn, the main promoter of Reading and Leeds festival among others, has said of next year’s event, “We are thrilled to announce the first wave of artists for Reading & Leeds 2024. I am very proud that the biggest artists in the world choose to play Reading & Leeds and to have three incredible UK festival exclusives – the electrifying Fred again.., a true generational talent Lana Del Ray and the legendary Blink-182.

Ben continued, “The iconic Liam Gallagher will return to play an all-time classic album ‘Definitely Maybe’ which will be a special moment indeed. We pride ourselves on nurturing artists from the early stages in their career, so to see acts like Catfish & The Bottlemen rising through the festival to headline for the second time is very rewarding. 2023 was a hugely successful year for attendance and sensational audience feedback, and we are eager to build upon this success even further at the UK’s biggest and best music festival.”

Watch the music video for Blink-182’s “What’s My Age Again?” below:
