In a statement, Mura Masa – who from this point on I’ll refer to by his birthname Alexander Crossan – explained that the album’s title came from “those early morning hours at a party or with friends where a delivish yet innocent sense of mischief prevails”, elaborating, “It’s devil on the shoulder type fun. Not necessarily the most wholesome, but it’s a really good time.” He then went on to explain that people need, “vicarious, escapist music now. So that’s where this demon time idea came from – how do we soundtrack the 1am to 5am period where you start doing stupid shit that you don’t regret but wouldn’t do again when it emerges again post-lockdown?”

Aside from the features we’re already aware of – PinkPantheress, Shygirl etc. – Crossan is also boasting a few other high-profile artists on his album, no surprise there. Slowthai will be returning for another round after the great success that was their last hit single ‘Deal Wiv It’, Lil Yachty and Unknown T join forces for a moment on ‘No Ish’, Shygirl also made the cut for not one… but two tracks, with them as of yet unheard ‘Hollaback Bitch’. While the announcement hasn’t, yet, come with the news of an accompanying tour, Mura Masa has got a bunch of UK dates already lined up for the summer. With appearances at Loves Saves The Day, Glastonbury, and All Points East Festival, there is definitely a lot of empty space to fit in a few dates on a tour. T left fans waiting nearly 4 months for the track titled “Wollan”, which premiered on UK platform mixtape madness with a video that featured the duo out in jamaica and saw cameos from fellow Homerton rappers V9 and KO.

The two artists have one thing in common that separates them from other artists in their field, their distinct flow. The song saw Skillibeng and Unknown T perform over a UK drill beat produced by Tefo made this one who has worked alongside the likes of Bandokay, Kwengface and the previously mentioned v9.

Unknown T didn’t go quite in the 4 months between teasing this collaboration and releasing it. The east Londoner released his second mixtape Adolescence which peaked at number 8 on the official charts, T then went on to announce a tour of the back of the success of his tape announcing 4 dates in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Nottingham to take place in December 2021.

As well as releasing his tape during this time, T walked the runway for Louis Vuitton’s SS22 collection.

Skillibeng is one of the hottest artists coming out of Jamaica his anthem “Crocidile teeth” took dancehall fans by surprise in October 2020 becoming a viral anthem that has gained 28 million youtube views and 7 million Spotify streams.

Skillibengs newfound fame helped him acquire features from American superstars Rich the Kid and Jay Critch on his 2021 album The Prodigy: Ladies only edition.

The 24-year-old from St. Thomas Jamaica has worked over the last year to build his profile, currently sitting on just over half a million followers on Instagram. In recent days the dancehall artist announced his upcoming project Crocodile teeth: The album. The 12 track project will be released on the 15th of October and will feature 7 artists including; Davianah, Lil zack, Dancehall legends Spice and Popcaan, British Jamaican Stefflondon, and American stars Rich the kid and Bobby Shmurda.
