The honorary patron of The Teenage Cancer Trust, Roger Daltrey CBE, has been responsible for organising a string of concerts to help raise money for the charity at the Royal Albert Hall in London for the past 16 years, and has recently announced a list of acts set to perform at this year’s collection of charity evenings. The Teenage Cancer Trust, funded in 1990, advocates the needs of young people suffering from cancer and helps provide specialist resources and units in NHS hospitals. A staggering amount of support from musicians and comedians over the years has assisted the charity in raising over £20,000,000 in proceeds from the concerts.

This year’s line up so far includes Bring Me The Horizon, The Vaccines, David Gilmour, Simply Red, Everything Everything and New Order, with the charity promising that there are still more “very special guests” that are yet to be announced. Over 200 artists and comedians have performed at the Royal Albert Hall in aid of the charity in past years, including Ed Sheeran, Paul McCartney, Noel Gallagher, Muse and Paul Weller.

You can take a look at the poster for the 2016 Teenage Cancer Trust shows below!

Patron Roger Daltrey, also known for being the frontman of classic rock band The Who, said of the event:

We’ve had so many incredible musical moments at these shows over the years but these moments are made even more special by the wonderful young people I have met. They shouldn’t have to stop being teenagers just because they have cancer.

The events will take place from 19th April – 24th April. Tickets go on sale Friday 19th February at 9am, and more information can be found by visiting the charity’s official website here.
