Sophie Ellis-Bextor who is known for her early noughties pop hits such as “Murder of the Dance Floor” and “Groovejet“, will bring her infectious energy and captivating vocals to the tour. Additionally, T’Pau, led by the talented Carol Decker, will grace the stage with their powerful performances. With a number one album Bridge of Spies, T’Pau has left a memorable mark on the music industry.
The tour is expected to be a celebration of the band’s iconic discography. Hailing from Sheffield, England, the synth-pop band The Human League was formed in 1977 as an experimental electronic group. Two years later, they signed with Virgin Records and went on to win the Brit Award for Best British Breakthrough Act in 1982. The Band have produced esteemed hits that have stood the test of time such as ” Don’t you want Me” and “Mirror Man”.

Back in October of this year in an interview about how the band as maintained popularity, Phillip Oakley said “I don’t know why we deserve to have the luck that we have had, seeing as we’re not especially talented or wonderful or anything. But somehow, I think we just got in the right teams at the right time and managed to keep it going.” He continued, “I think that if there is one thing that we have done, it’s we’ve been persistent. Times when a lot of people might have given up, we didn’t give up. And we stuck it out and when any one of us was finding it a bit hard, the other two kept it going, and that’s why we’re still here I think.”

The UK leg of Yungblud’s 2023 world tour is still ongoing and the next tour will continue in Sheffield tomorrow night (February 24) ahead of a final date in London. Yungblud has teamed up with the Show Support organisation throughout the tour. Their main responsibility is offering mental health support for fans at the gigs. Yungblud spoke to the PA news agency regarding additional safety measures he has planned to put in place to prevent physical harm directed at fans. He said, “We’re basically building our stage like it is at a festival, we’re putting a runway down the middle of it, to split the crowd out because I know a lot of people feel unsafe because like my gigs go f****** nuts.”

In more than 20 countries, Yungblud has performed to sold-out crowds, noticeable places from London’s Alexandra Palace to The Shrine in Los Angeles. He has also collaborated with very big artists: Machine Gun Kelly, Demi Lovato on the track of her HOLY FVCK album, “Freak”, Avril Lavigne on her track, “I’m A Mess”, Willow Smith featured on his song, “Memories” from his latest album and Travis Barker (Blink 182) on mammoth hits such as “Kelly’s I Think I’m OKAY”, which peaked on the US Billboard charts at No 3.

In 2021, he covered David Bowie’s “Life On Mars” which was chosen by NASA as the soundtrack for the one-tonne Perseverance rover’s landing on Mars, which was live-streamed on YouTube. The rendition of the track coming from the singer gained massive attention from NASA, following his performance of it as a part of a tribute event online called A Bowie Celebration: Just for One Day.
