Wet Leg delivered one of the standout moments at this year’s Green Man Festival, surprising fans with an unannounced performance ahead of their scheduled headline slot. Wet Leg appeared on the Round The Twist stage on Friday, August 15, playing a stripped-back set as part of the Green Man Sessions. The secret show drew a capacity crowd, with fans packing into the tent to catch the intimate performance just hours before their main stage appearance.

Later that evening, the duo returned to headline the Mountain Stage in front of thousands. Frontwoman Rhian Teasdale marked the occasion with a personal reflection, telling the crowd that Green Man had been the first festival she ever attended. The comment added a layer of nostalgia to the set, underlining the band’s ongoing connection to the festival. Wet Leg first played Green Man in 2021, opening the Far Out stage in their breakthrough year. Their progression from newcomers to headliners in just four years highlighted the rapid trajectory that has defined their career.

The headline set balanced fan favourites such as ‘Chaise Longue’ and ‘Wet Dream’ with new material from their latest album ‘Moisturizer’. The performance reinforced the band’s reputation for combining sharp humour with infectious hooks, while offering a preview of their evolving sound. The Mountain Stage crowd responded enthusiastically, with the singalongs and atmosphere cementing the slot as one of the festival’s defining moments.

Green Man 2025 featured a broad and eclectic line-up, with headline performances from Kneecap, Underworld, TV On The Radio and Beth Gibbons. Alongside Wet Leg, acts such as CMAT and English Teacher stood out as highlights of the weekend, further strengthening Green Man’s position as one of the UK’s most distinctive festivals for alternative and emerging music.

Wet Leg’s appearance at Green Man follows the announcement of their upcoming UK and Ireland tour later this year. The eight-date run opens on November 13 at London’s Royal Albert Hall, before continuing with shows at Liverpool’s Mountford Hall and Nottingham’s Rock City. The tour will see the band perform in several of the country’s most renowned venues, offering fans the chance to experience material from ‘Moisturizer’ in full.

Jack White And George Ezra Confirm Themselves For Glastonbury Secret Sets

At this point in the Glastonbury 2022’s timeline, it’s almost easier to confirm who is definitely not going to be showing up for a set over the week. With the sudden arrival and then disappearance of The Chemical Brothers, IDLES finding the energy to throw out their intense debut Brutalism on the introducing stage, and even Bastille giving it a go on Thursday night, the list seemingly doesn’t end. The latest; Jack White and George Ezra.

With relative urgency, singer-songwriter superstar (and general cutie-pie) George Ezra announced his appearance at the festival’s Park Stage at 2PM. A whole 3 hours of preparation for the appropriately named “Gold Rush Kid” to gather enough curiosity, and then perform a secret set. Some artists are just built for Glastonbury, whether it be the laid-back attitude, hooky-as-hell songwriting or just general British summertime demeanour, Ezra has what it takes. The rumours began to spread about Ezra early, but after pulling out of a show in Denmark earlier this week due to illness, many were sceptical. But no more!

Next on the major last-minute announcement list in today’s proceedings, all-round icon; Jack White. The initial advertisement for White’s show came in the festivals often overlooked “Glastonbury Free Press”. An advertisement in the local paper read, “Exciting opportunity in the field of audience science”, I’m interested, “Musician Jack White is seeking 10,000 lively and loud individuals to participate in a top secret experiment of musical concertry. Qualified applicants must apply in person on 26 June, at 6PM, at The Park Stage”. Now, if anyone had to call a secret Glastonbury set this year, I’d argue that Jack White was probably never a million miles away from being guaranteed. After opening the doors to his new store, Third Man London, and then performing a secret set in the streets of Soho that night, it confirmed that all of the shenanigans White normally gets up to in the states are very much transferable.

As the final day of the festival kicks off we, as punters have unsurprisingly had a lot of special treats over the duration. Beatles legend Paul McCartney was joined on the Pyramid Stage last night by Dave Grohl, in his first onstage appearance since the tragic passing of Taylor Hawkins, for a version of “Saw Her Standing There” and “Band On The Run”, and then none other than The Boss for “Glory Days” and “I Wanna Be Your Man”. The pair then returned one final time together to close the set with “The End”. As festivals go, this one always relishes in its surprises, and despite the fact that this is the last day, I see no reason why they’ll slow down today.

Sports Team May Or May Not Have Just Leaked Glastonbury’s Rumoured Secret Sets

In a recent post on their Instagram it seems like indie rockers Sports Team may have just leaked some potentially top secret Glastonbury information. The 6 piece from Cambridge are due to play the John Peel Stage at 12.30 on Sunday 26th June, but it seems the band have already arrived to enjoy the festivities with an Instagram post in the last few hours revealing a somewhat ramshackle looking pitch in the artist camping zone and a rather intriguing screenshot from WhatsApp.

The last slide on the post seems to possibly reveal the much speculated Glastonbury secret sets and even some of the stages you can see them on. Artists and stages named included George Ezra on The Park Stage, Anderson Paak on the West Holts Stage, Arcade Fire on the John Peel Stage, Green Day on the BBC Introducing Stage, Chemical Brothers on the Arcadia Stage, Megan The Stallion playing with Due Lipa, and even… Drum roll please… Billie Eilish joining Harry Styles on stage. None of this has been confirmed, and knowing Sports Teams playful notoriety, none of it has probably been permitted by the powers that be at Worthy Farm either. One thing is for sure though, if any of it possesses even a glimmer of truth then Sports Team have just dropped a serious spoiler. With collaborations like Billie Eilish and Harry Styles possibly in the pipeline, it’s fair to say Glastonbury just got that little bit more interesting.

The world renowned festival is now well underway, with Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis opening the gates on Wednesday 22 June and revellers pitching their tents and flocking to Worthy Farms luscious fields in preparation for the main lineup to begin tomorrow. This years headliners include Gen Z superstar Billie Eilish, Beatles legend Paul McCartney, and American lyrical sensation Kendrick Lamar, all of whom are due to grace the historic Pyramid Stage throughout the weekend. It marks the first time the festival has opened its gates in 2 years due to the perpetual cancelations and delays caused by the pandemic, but back with a bang now, everyone attending seems to be enjoying themselves, happy and grateful to return after years of government enforced lockdowns and distancing measures.

To those there right now, we sincerely hope the rumours listed above are true, and if so, that Sports Team don’t get into too much trouble either.
