On the night of 8 September, this long silence was finally broken, sending rock and metal communities into a frenzy, with the announcement of a massive UK and European Stadium Tour for the Summer of 2026 by the nu metal-era Armenian-American band. It’s the band’s first full-scale European run since 2017, and it’s coming with some heavyweight friends in tow: Queens of the Stone Age and cult sludge-metal icons Acid Bath. 

For fans who have been holding their breath for nearly a decade, the announcement landed like a thunderclap. Late Monday night, the band posted a cryptic teaser video on their social channels, flickering images of stadium floodlights and a pounding heartbeat soundscape before dropping the tour dates just hours later. Within minutes, hashtags like #SOAD2026 and #ToxicityTour began trending across Europe. Serj Tankian, the frontman, said: “We’ve missed the connection, and we’re ready to shake the stadiums again.”

Spanning seven cities, the tour kicks off on 29 June 2026 at Stockholm’s Strawberry Arena, followed by stops in Paris, Milan, Berlin, Düsseldorf, and London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, before wrapping up on 18 July at Warsaw’s PGE Narodowy.

Presale tickets go live on Tuesday, 16 September 2025 at 12 Noon. Fans can sign up through the band’s official website for first access until Monday, 15 September, and the general sale begins on Friday, 19 September.

System Of A Down has always been more than just a band; their mix of protest, politics, and propulsive riffs made them a cultural force. Their last UK show at the Download Festival in 2017 drew over 100,000 fans despite the torrential rain. This year they have made an announcement that one of their main headliners, LCD Soundsystem, will be hosting an afterparty at the London nightclub, Moth, on Friday the 23rd of August.

All Points East started in 2018 and quickly became one of London’s most popular summer music events. The festival usually spans several days, offering a mix of live music performances from various genres, including rock, indie, electronic, and more. It features a lineup of both internationally renowned artists and emerging talent.

To give a backstory to the band, LCD Soundsystem are an American rock group known for its dance-punk sound, and was formed in 2002 in Brooklyn, New York. The band was founded by James Murphy, who is also the co-founder of the record label DFA Records. LCD Soundsystem quickly gained a following with their debut single Losing My Edge in 2002, which became an underground hit. They released their self-titled debut album in 2005, which included popular tracks like Daft Punk Is Playing at My House and Tribulations.

The band is known for blending elements of punk rock, electronic music, and dance music, and they have been influential in the indie music scene. LCD Soundsystem has released several critically acclaimed albums, including Sound of Silver (2007) and This Is Happening (2010). It is their unique blend of musical genres and sounds that make them an ideal band to perform at the festival.

This year LCD Soundsystem is headlining on Friday the 23rd, with other headlining acts spread across the other days of the festival, including Loyle Carne, Mitski, KAYTRANDA, Field Day, and The Postal Service & Death Cab for Cutie.

This is not the first time LCD Soundsystem has performed at All Points East. They performed when the festival first began in 2018, alongside The XX, and Björk.

 The afterparty will be held at Moth Club, a venue based in Hackney with an interesting history. The Memorable Order of Tin Hats (MOTH), was first established in South Africa in 1927 as a brotherhood to help support fellow comrades in need. The Hackney headquarters opened in 1972, and was formerly the General Browning Club, a bar and events hall for ex-servicemen belonging to the Memorable Order of Tin Hats.

This unique venue with its blend of WWII paraphernalia and glittery dancehall decorations seems a fitting spot to house the late-night revellers and LCD Soundsystem fans.

Entitled A Celebration of Endings, Biffy’s new release charged onto streaming platforms last night (14th August 2020). 

Just like the poetic album title suggests, A Celebration of Endings has a mantra of getting up and facing whatever life throws at you. Frontman Simon Neil concurred with this idea, relaying that “The thought behind this whole album is that change is not a bad thing.” 

Composed of eleven songs, A Celebration of Endings is the band’s ninth album and follows the 2016 released Ellipsis. A record of high extremes, A Celebration of Endings runs across an emotional tightrope of self-assured defiance, helpless woe and optimistic hopefulness. 

As high hats shake with anticipation, and a staccato electric guitar flashes, ready to pounce, Biffy launches into North of No South. The opening track immediately starts an introspective dialogue, with frontman Neil asking “Have you ever been to a place in which you couldn’t leave/But of course, you couldn’t stay?” 

Aggressive in the best way, Weird Leisure is an ode to the classic, heavy Biffy Clyro we all know and love. The menacing bassline loops incessantly, whilst the strong drums shake you from the toes up. 

Tiny Indoor Fireworks highlights the album’s paradoxical nature. Whilst its backing track flourishes with high energy, Neil’s heart-wrenching lyrics like “This weight is crippling me” and “Summit the ocean, scale the lake/And I’ll pray for the better days” keeps the listener guessing. 

Biffy flips this vibe on its head and slides into Space. A slow tempo track, Space is a rock ballad that echoes Biffy’s emotive, slower tracks like Many of Horror. The album reaches its climax at Cop Syrup, an epic song that knocks the wind out of you and leaves you already wanting more. 

Recently Simon Neil broke down the monumental record with NME. When speaking on the album, Neil said “the metaphor of the album is finding your true north. In certain points over the last few years, personally and societally, there’ve been moments when I think ‘where am I turning here? Who’s actually going to tell me what direction to go in?” 

The Born On A Horse hitmakers took to Instagram yesterday to celebrate the arrival of their latest release. Sharing an animated version of the album’s cover art with a snippet of Instant History blaring in the background, the exciting post has gathered over 16,000 views and likes. 

In other exciting news, Biffy Clyro will deliver a livestream performance in commemoration of A Celebration of Endings. Taking place tonight, Biffy Clyro will play live from the Barrowland Ballroom, a Glaswegian gem and beloved music venue of the city. 

Offering an intimate look behind the scenes of a legendary Biffy set, the live stream will feature a fly on the wall look into the band’s soundcheck, as well as rare footage of the Scottish trios’ studio recordings. As well as sharing this intimate content, Biffy Clyro will play A Celebration of Endings in its entirety. Sharing some information regarding how to watch the live stream, Biffy deemed the upcoming virtual show “an immersive audio experience (headphones advised).”
