Known for her engaging live performances, Samantha Fish has built a loyal fanbase around the world. Her shows are celebrated for their intensity, emotional depth, and incredible guitar work, offering fans an immersive and unforgettable experience. The upcoming tour is expected to bring this signature stage presence to life once again overseas as she connects with her audiences through music and her charismatic style.

Samantha Fish, who is originally from Kansas City, Missouri, has earned a stellar reputation as one of the most innovative artists in contemporary blues and rock music. She has a remarkable ability to express raw emotion and energy through her work, developing a style that blends fiery blues riffs with rocky Americana influences, which are showcased beautifully in her tracks.

This theme is captured in the lyrics: “Back before the love I made, made me out a fool, I was looking for something more.” The song’s hauntingly beautiful melody compliments its depth, a quality also displayed in her latest single which is a cover of the classic ‘I Put a Spell on You’. The track demonstrates her ability to reinterpret timeless music with a fresh, soulful twist, making it a standout addition to her repertoire.

As anticipation builds on social media for the 2025 dates, fans are encouraged to secure tickets quickly. Tickets were released on December 20, 2024, but some still remain. For long-time followers, the tour represents another opportunity to experience her dynamic live shows, while newcomers can discover an artist who honours the legacy of blues musicians while redefining what it means in a modern context.

In a surprising turn of events, iconic rock figure Bruce Springsteen is currently in advanced talks with Glastonbury organisers to take the spotlight at the Pyramid Stage in 2024. Widely known for his electrifying performances, the 74-year-old legend is poised to join Coldplay and Dua Lipa as headliners, stepping in to fill the void left by the collapsed deal with Madonna.

The news follows the breakdown of negotiations between Madonna and Glastonbury organisers, Michael and Emily Eavis, attributed to disagreements over the singer’s requested fee. Eager to recreate the grandeur of her current ‘Celebration’ world tour, Madonna had demanded a substantial sum for her elaborate live show, involving numerous dancers and an expensive set.

“There is still some hope it can be resurrected, but it’s pretty unlikely. There are money issues at the root of this; it’s a real shame,” a source reported to The Mail on Sunday.

In response to these challenges, Michael and Emily have turned to Bruce Springsteen to bring his legendary status and gravitas to the Pyramid Stage. Having headlined the festival in 2009 and performed with Sir Paul McCartney during his headline set in 2022, the ‘Born To Run‘ singer is reportedly eager to return with his E Street Band.

The prospect of Bruce Springsteen joining the lineup has ignited excitement among fans, especially following his mesmerising three-hour performance at BST Hyde Park in London in July 2023. Glastonbury organisers, eager to secure a replacement of equal stature to Madonna, express optimism about the ongoing negotiations.

“Bruce has a jam-packed summer schedule, but after Michael and Emily failed to secure Madonna, they have been in talks with him. Bruce was sensational at BST Hyde Park, and they think he is the perfect booking for Glastonbury. Talks with his team are ongoing,” revealed an insider to The Sun.

Scheduled for the last week of June 2024 at the iconic Worthy Farm in Somerset, Glastonbury Festival is anxiously awaiting an agreement with Springsteen. His European tour, commencing in Cardiff on May 5, will reach its peak just days before his potential Glastonbury appearance. The rock star’s final show before the festival is set for June 27 in the Netherlands, followed by a performance on July 2 in Belgium, allowing ample time for his arrival at Worthy Farm in between.

As talks with Bruce Springsteen progress, the music world eagerly anticipates confirmation, setting the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable Glastonbury experience in 2024.

The Stones, it seems, have been particularly cryptic as of late. Only last week, a mysterious advert appeared in an East London newspaper, the Hackney Gazette. The ad, which claimed to represent a glass repair company called “Hackney Diamonds”, featured a sales blurb that referenced three song titles by the band: “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”, “Gimme Shelter” and “Shattered”. Other clues came in the shape of a familiar-looking font (used on the band’s 1978 album Some Girls) and the suspicious use of a certain tongue logo.

See the Hackney Gazette ad below:

Just a quick visit to the official Rolling Stones website does enough to suggest the existence of a soon-to-be-released album called Hackney Diamonds, and with all the hints the band have been dropping lately, even the most sceptical of fans must be at least a little excited: a new Rolling Stones album would be the band’s first full-length studio release since 2016’s Blue & Lonesome covers album, and their first album of original material since A Bigger Bang in 2005. Speculations of a new record have been circulating since January, when guitarist Keith Richards shared a 15-second video confirming that the band had new music to share: “Hi guys, here we are again. There is some new music on the way and hopefully, we’ll get to see you, you know? Anyway, let’s keep our fingers crossed.”

The Hives have released their first album in over a decade – and it’s heavier, louder and faster than ever. With The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons, the Swedish garage rockers revamp their trademark brand of frantic rock and roll, proving the genre – or at least one of its greatest purveyors – still has a few years left in it yet.

Spanning twelve tracks and coming in at just under 32 minutes, the band’s sixth studio LP boasts all the ingredients of a classic punk record: short but sweet, The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons doesn’t muck about or take itself too seriously, prioritising raw energy over flashy embellishments. This back-to-basics approach is where The Hives’ appeal lies; never ones to shy away from the more wacky aspects of rock, the group have always exhibited a fun-loving attitude their audiences find irresistible.

Listen to “Bogus Operandi“:

The new album, however, comes at a loss: Randy Fitzsimmons, the band’s mysterious fictional mentor and sole songwriter, has apparently died. This new development in the self-scribed Hives backstory sees the limelight-shunning Fitzsimmons helping out beyond the grave, providing the remaining members with demo tapes, fresh suits and a title for the new record.

In honour of his memory, and to celebrate the release of The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons, The Hives recently performed a ceremonial gig at London’s Rough Trade East – the iconic independent record shop and live music venue that has been hosting legendary shows since its 2007 opening – where they gave their sixth member a proper send-off.

In true Hives fashion, the band pulled up outside the store in a customised hearse – complete with coffin and decorative flowers – in order to pay their respects to a man they claim to owe their entire discography to, before taking to the Rough Trade stage and bashing out their classic concoction of rock and roll swagger. The group then bid their final farewells in similar fashion at Banquet Records a day later.

The Hives first crashed onto the scene during the short-lived garage rock revival of the early 2000s, which saw rough-and-ready guitar bands such as The Strokes, The White Stripes and The Libertines achieve mainstream success with a gritty, punk-inspired sound. By the time The Hives had landed their first major hit with “Hate To Say I Told You So”, the group had been going for eight years.

Since then, they have sold out stadiums and shared stages with everyone from AC/DC to The Rolling Stones. Spin dubbed The Hives “the best live band on the planet” and Howlin’ Pelle, their lead singer, “one of the greatest frontmen in rock”, while the BBC described them as “a force of nature”.
The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons marks the long-awaited return for a group that has most recently been making waves as the frenetic support act for Arctic Monkeys on their European arena tour.

Kate Bush and George Michael are the British representatives of this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it has been announced this morning.

The two artists are set to be joined by five other American acts, including country icon Willie Nelson, rap metal band Rage Against the Machine, rapper Missy Elliott, singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow and rhythm and blues vocal group the Spinners.

Bush has been nominated three times in the past five years (2018, 2021, 2022) but 2023 is the year she finally claims her prestigious place among music’s greats. Having released 25 UK Top 40 singles, including her first, “Wuthering Heights“, released in 1978 when only 19 years old, which reached number one in the UK and stayed there for four weeks, Bush is a late 70s and 80s music icon.

Watch the music video for “Wuthering Heights” below:

She recently came back to the limelight following the resurgent success of hit single “Running Up That Hill“, reaching UK number one a full 38 years since it was first released. The resurgence came after the song featured in the extremely popular Netflix drama Stranger Things. If Bush was to travel to New York to accept her induction and perform, as is customary, it would be her first public appearance since 2014, and as such would greatly excite her many fans.

Michael received his induction by way of a fan vote, receiving 1.04 million votes, just ahead of fellow nominee and singer-songwriter Cyndi Lauper. Michael is one the best-selling musicians of all time, achieving widespread success both in the UK and the US, releasing seven UK number one singles and eight US number ones. His induction also coincides with the 40th anniversary of Wham!’s debut album, Anniversary.

Watch the music video for “Careless Whisper” below:

Artists who were nominated this year but din’t make the cut include English post-punk band Joy Division (subsequently New Order) and English heavy metal group Iron Maiden. Cyndi Lauper, as previosly mentioned, also didn’t make it, along with American rock band Soundgarden, brother and sister rock duo the White Stripes, singer-songwriter Warren Zevon and legendary New York hip hop group A Tribe Called Quest.

Other winners include DJ Kool Herc and guitarist Link Wray, both receiving the Musical Influence Award, while the Music Excellence Award will be awarded to singer Chaka Khan and songwriters Al Kooper and Bernie Taupin, and television presenter Don Cornelius is set to win the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony will be held at the Barclays Center in New York in November.

One of the biggest record selling artists of all time has just announced a fresh UK tour this coming summer in 2023. The British rockstar, Rod Stewart, has not tired after last year’s UK tour following up the release of his last album The Tears Of Hercules in 2021. Fans were delighted with the deliverance of his beloved classic hits, as well as catch the first live performances of his new albums tunes. So, this year, he comes back with a new “Rod Stewart: The Hits” world wide tour, put together to celebrate a six-decade long career of hard work, dedicated to contributing groundbreaking songs to the public’s ears.

The singer is undoubtedly running on top gear this year, taking a roaring 58 live gigs to the table. He will be carrying his performances around the world including USA, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Ireland, UK, Spain and Canada. He is kicking off this Tuesday, 14th February in Hollywood in the Hard Rock Live venue. The continuous shows will run through the next few months until he’s majestically gone around the whole globe finishing in Niagara, Canada on the Saturday, 2nd September at Fallsview Casino.

His 31st studio album, The Tears Of Hercules, was a great success and, considered by the writer himself, some of the best work he has ever created. Whether the legendary rockstar is on a busy roll because of its great outcome is unknown, but it is definitely a great way to recognise his significantly stunning work throughout the years.

He will be bringing the show onto UK roads on the Saturday, 24th of June in Plymouth at the Home Park Stadium, and will proceed to travel through Northampton, Durham, Bristol, Hull and finalise officially in Edinburgh. However, the legendary singer has come back this summer to drop-ship an unforgettable set of live experiences in “under the star” settings within astounding venues such as rugby and cricket stadiums, estates and even castles. As he states himself: “I’m impatiently awaiting this summer playing at a variety of special venues – football, cricket and rugby stadiums, estates and castles! We’ll all be dancing under the stars.”

The UK will be waiting to hear his famous raspy voice with open arms. Stewart has been pinned as one of the best singers of his generation and has received a number of deserved awards including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the ASCAP Founders Award for songwriting and most importantly was knighted by Prince William in the 2016 Birthday Honours after generating 10 number-one albums and 31 top-ten singles in the UK, six of which reached number one.

His presence is always a celebration for the music industry. This year is set to be a big one for Rod Stewart.
