Swedish electro-pop queen Robyn has announced her 2026 Arena tour across the globe. After announcing her album ‘Sexistential’ and releasing the title single and teaser singles ‘Dopamine’ and ‘Talk to Me’, Robyn is now ready to take the world by storm with her unapologetic, vivacious pop performances once again. She revealed the news on Friday, February 6th, receiving an outpour of excitement from fans.

Robyn’s 2026 tour is her first major return since 2019, marking the start of a new era for the generational popstar who began her career at just 14 in the 1990s. Today, age 46, she shows that a cultural icon, cool girl status, defies age. ‘Sexistential‘ drops in March 2026, and based on her tease singles, alongside her track record at previous tours, we can expect a passionate show filled with joy and energy, alongside sincerity and connection.

The tour will take place in the UK, Europe, Australia and North America, supported by a long list of unmissable talent.

One notable support in North America is Nourished by Time, who has received widespread critical acclaim across music media for his 2024 album ‘Catching Chickens‘ and 2025 album ‘The Passionate Ones‘. He brings his eclectic, hazy electronic tracks, with his signature deep vocals interwoven. This support slot promises to be unforgettably atmospheric.

Also joining Robyn on her North America leg is Peaches, a sultry pop icon known for her explicit and outrageous lyrics and high-energy music. Expect elaborate dance routines, unforgettable outfits and a lively crowd to match.

For the UK leg of the tour, Smerz will join Robyn in Glasgow, a Norwegian best friend duo who fuse introspection with avant-pop. Smerz have increasingly been dominating music discourse and are a perfect fit for Robyn’s chic support club. In Manchester, acid-house and techno pioneers 808 State are set to support, sharing their old-school wizardry and guaranteeing a night of amazing music. Toronto-based artist Saya Grey is set to support at the London show, performing her indie-folk melodies, twined with art-pop influence; truly mesmerising music.

Whatever Robyn has in store for the ‘Sexistential‘ tour, it will only further establish her legendary status within the pop hall of fame and pop culture itself.

General onsale is on Friday, February 13th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.

Swedish electro-pop icon Robyn has announced her new album ‘Sexistential’, taking to Instagram to share the news. The highly anticipated release date is set for March 27th and marks her first studio album since 2018’s celebrated ‘Honey’. closing out an almost eight-year gap between full-length projects that reshaped modern pop in her image.

After returning with her single “Dopamine”, Robyn has since shared the album’s title track and the single “Talk To Me,” leading many to bill the project as the most ecstatic, high-impact work of her career so far. On Instagram, she confirmed the full tracklist as: ‘Really Real’, ‘Dopamine’, ‘Blow My Mind’, ‘Sucker For Love’, ‘It Don’t Mean A Thing’, ‘Talk To Me’, ‘Sexistential’, ‘Light Up’ and ‘Into The Sun’. ‘Sexistential’ also sees Robyn join the roster at Young Recordings, signalling a new chapter that shifts away from ‘Honey’’s themes of intimacy, grief, and the healing power of dance music.

While details of the new record’s collaborators and production team have not yet been officially revealed, Robyn’s previous work has frequently featured contributions from long-time associate Klas Åhlund, producer Mr. Tophat, and Metronomy’s Joseph Mount, figures now tipped to return with fresh studio magic. These helped shape her distinct blend of emotional pop and vivid electronica.

Her return to full-length recording has been closely followed by fans worldwide, with early responses to the singles celebrating her trademark ability to turn introspective emotion into euphoric release. Listeners and critics alike have praised her knack for translating complex feelings into shimmering synth patterns and uplifting hooks, a signature Robyn quality that continues to resonate in club spaces and headphone sessions alike.

The album announcement follows a gradual return to the spotlight for Robyn over the past year. Beyond her recent singles, she has made select festival appearances and collaborated with fellow Scandinavian artists, further reaffirming her position as one of modern pop’s most innovative voices. These performances, often merging immersive visuals with her magnetic stage presence, have reignited enthusiasm for her live artistry after several years away from touring.

Widely regarded as a significant influence on today’s alternative and electronic pop movements, Robyn’s new project is already one of the most anticipated releases of 2026. With ‘Sexistential’, she continues to expand her legacy as an artist who marries emotional depth with avant-garde production, a balance that has kept her work timeless across decades of shifting pop trends.

Rumours swirl of a 2026 world tour blueprint, with arena bids from London to LA and festival slots locked. As this anticipation builds for her return, fans are already speculating whether a corresponding tour will follow later in 2026, potentially marking her most ambitious live project to date.

Olof Dreijer, one half of the Swedish electronic duo The Knife, has released a remixed track of Robyn’s collaborative track with Röyksopp, Monument. The song was released in 2014 from Robyn’s EP Do It Again which was released 4 years after the international Body Talk Pt. 1 was released by the same pair in 2010.

The original EP was met with mixed reviews from fans, but did receive very high critic praise when it was released. The success of the album was incomparable to the Body Talk series, however, Do It Again still went into the top 20 album charts in the UK and became the first number-one Dance/Electronic album that either Robyn or Röyksopp ever received.

The release of the remixed Monument was in celebration of The Knife’s 20th anniversary of the band on January 29th. The official release has come with a statement saying that “This is the first time Olof has worked with the duo, having previously worked with Robyn across projects on Konichiwa Records.” Indicating that the three Scandinavian artists have been working up to this collaboration.

When describing the sound of the new track, a press release stated that “for the rework, Olof brings his signature warm and percussive sound to the chart-topping single. The track is accompanied by a visualizer from Martin Falck who has previously collaborated with The Knife, Bjork, Fever Ray and Robyn.”

The Knife has also celebrated its 20th anniversary with releasing rare music previously unreleased tracks from the last two decades of their career. They also uploaded their music onto the streaming platform Bandcamp for more listeners to enjoy their music over the years.

Robyn’s latest album Honey was released in 2018 and received critical acclaim once again for the artist. Most recently she teamed up with Jonsi for the track Salt Licorice, a collaboration fans have been long awaiting. Monument is now available for streaming on all platforms and can be seen above.

The Swedish pop-icon Robyn has announced she will host BBC Radio 6 for a special New Year’s Eve radio party, starting tomorrow at 7pm GMT and ending at 9pm GMT. She will be taking on selector responsibilities, choosing the entire NYE playlist for 2 hours and when discussing her excitement for the radio party Robyn thanked BBC Radio 6 on social media for giving her maybe best gig ever. She continued with a quick remark about the Covid-19 riddled 2020 saying that it’s been a shitty year so it feels special to select music for this NYE which is always, whether we want or not, a symbolic day

BBC Radio 6 is just as excited for Robyn to host and when announcing the music style to be expected from the star, BBC Radio 6 explained it as effortlessly cool beats to loud and proud anthems, the Queen of the Sad Bangers takes charge of 6 Music for one night only, and we are delighted to embrace her wild, weird and wonderful world! Robyn’s tendency towards nostalgic and love-sick techno-pop bangers will ring in the new year with exactly the kind of tunes the UK is hungry for leading up to the end of 2020.

Robyn recently reached a milestone in her career in 2020 as her world-wide epochal album Body Talk celebrated it’s 10th anniversary since sale. The platinum hit Dancing On My Own skyrocketed to the top of the charts in the UK in 2010 and surged again many times in the last 10 years leading Rolling Stone and many other acclaimed critics to name it the best song of it’s decade. The celebration of her most successful era of music and the winning of Songwriter of the Decade from NME last month, Robyn has had a monumental 2020 despite the lack of tour-dates or new music.

In 2018 Robyn officially released her critically acclaimed 8th studio album Honey, after first releasing it for the HBO series Girls finale. She then spent the majority of 2019 on tour in Europe, UK and North America. While there has been no new music from the sensational artist in 2020, Robyn has been working as an activist for climate change, attending events and playing shows to raise money and awareness for the global issue.

When announcing the Robyn slot on social-media BBC Radio 6 stated that a lot of us might be dancing on our own at home this New Years Eve, but thankfully we have Robyn, the Queen of solo dancing supplying the soundtrack. Listen or download via @bbcsounds from tomorrow at 7pm to tune into Robyn’s NYE Radio Party.

Deezer have shared InVersions, an exclusive covers album full of completely iconic hits by some of the hottest new artists in the world. In a bid to invest a little energy into the new music scene, during this difficult moment, Deezer contacted a string of exciting and diverse new artists and asked them to put their take on any classic track they fancied. Everything was recorded in isolation and the result, InVersions, dropped today (October 6), exclusive to Deezer.

Among the line-up are Fontaines D.C., with a slow, melancholic cover of The Beach Boys’ ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’. The Beach Boys sometimes have that effect where in completely the right mood they’re perfect – otherwise they’re kind of sickening. Not this cover. The last four lines, which tend to just fade into outro in the original, are haunting. You can catch a clip of it here:

This is what they had to say about it: “Covering a Beach Boys song has always been a scary thing considering the genius arrangements, their playing, their harmonies, everything about it … So ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’ we saw this kind of naive perspective towards love and marriage in the lyrics, and we were quite curious to see what would happen when you contrasted that approach with a darker musical palette. So we kind of slowed down the tempo and created a draggier tune for those lyrics to sit on top of.”

A cover is an art form, there’s no doubt about that, and it’s always struck me as a great way to really get to know a band. What Fontaines D.C. say above, for example, shows just how much they understand their industry, and their craft. Perhaps Deezer picked the line-up for InVersions for exactly this reason.

InVersions also presents Arlo Parks’ first song in French: ‘Ta Reine’ by Angèle. Parks explains why this is so special: “I picked ‘Ta Reine’ by Angèle because I find her voice completely mesmerising and soft, and I feel like the topic the song discusses is very important. I’ve always wanted to sing in French since my mum is French and I’m generally just enthralled by this song and her delivery. I hope I can do it justice.”

Really there is nothing to distinguish one moment from another – all of these covers are spectacular. For me, other honourable mentions go towards Alfie Templeman’s ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’, which retains the feel of the original while simultaneously softening everything. It perfectly suits the style that Templeman is really making his own.

Likewise, Orla Gartland’s ‘Nothing Compares to You’ is ambitious – intriguingly, her powerful voice seems to be set against a Radiohead-inspired, subtly electronic take on the melody. When the music falls away for the final refrain, Gartland shows nothing but pure talent.

But, for me, Dream Wife’s ‘Dancing On My Own’ steals the show. It has all the chills of the first time you heard it. It absolutely puts a spotlight on why we all unexpectedly fell in love with Robyn in 2010. This is not because it’s a carbon copy, though; Dream Wife retain all of the best of Robyn’s original, while giving it a spin of their own. If you listen closely, you catch an endearing whisper of “in a galaxy far far far away” just before the bridge.

InVersions could not be more exciting as a music project, but it also feels like a positive force in these bleak times for the music industry. Nigel Harding, who is Deezer’s VP of Global Artist Marketing, explained the thinking behind InVersions. “We all know the music community has been hit hard by the pandemic, especially Indie artists who rely on live gigs. During this tough time, we wanted to do our part and offer support to Indie and Alternative artists with our new Inversions album … I’d love for music fans from all over the world to discover some new favourites on our InVersions album.”

Bombay Bicycle Club have announced that they will make their return, to the live scene, this summer with a headline slot at the festival. After confirming plans to return once more last month, the London band will now make their first comeback appearance, at the Oxfordshire festival, on Friday the 2nd of August 2019. In January, this year, the band announced their return by sharing a snippet of a 27 second instrumental music.

In a statement the band said: “With a new year ahead of us, we thought now would be a good moment to give you a bit of news about what the four of us have been up to recently and what we have planned. Since late last year we’ve been getting back into the swing of playing music together. We were initially a little rusty but also nostalgic playing songs that have been around since we were teenagers. More than anything it just felt great to be in the same room playing again. It made us realise what a good thing we have and has given us renewed energy and enthusiasm for the future.

“The joy we were getting out of playing the old songs seemed to naturally lead us onto working on new material, so we’re becoming immersed in that as we speak. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we have something new for you guys to hear. We’re also planning some shows for later this year and beyond. We’ll have news on that front over the coming months.”

Swedish dance queen Robyn has today finally announced details about her upcoming album- her first project in over eight years. The album will be titled Honey, and is currently slated for release on October 26.

Honey will feature collaborations with Metronomy’s Joseph Mount, longtime collaborator Klas Ålund, Kindess’ Adam Bainbridge, Mr. Tophat, and Zhala. The first single from Honey was the recently dropped ‘Missing U’ which made it’s debut on HBO’s Girls.

Robyn has described the album’s mood as “this sweet place, like a very soft ecstasy”, elaborating: “I danced a lot when I was making it. I found a sensuality and a softness that I don’t think I was able to use in the same way before. Everything just became softer.”

The album’s announcement came through a message on Robyn’s official Twitter, where she explained “really can’t wait for you to hear it. It’s a personal album, and there are so many things that happened throughout making it that it’s really hard for me to explain in one go. I think the best way is for you to listen to it.”

Earlier this year, Robyn admitted that the new record started out with her working alone, rather than in tandem with collaborators as she has in the past. She said that gave her space to “get in touch with a sensuality and a softness” that she’s wanted to explore in her music.

Swedish songstress Robyn has given her fans an exciting update, in regards to her next album.

Robyn hasn’t released any new music for bordering on eight years, with her last album coming in the form of 2010’s Body Talk, and fans have been anxious to hear news from her on any new music for quite some time. Since then she has made a few guest appearances, such as on Todd Rundgren’s track ‘That Could Have Been Me’, but the clamour has been for her to release a solo, full length LP.

In a Twitter exchange (seen below), a fan put the question to Robyn about new music, and to the surprise of many, she responded. When asked who is responsible for determining the record’s release date, she replied “I do. Some time this year honey”.

I do. Some time this year honey

— Robyn (@robynkonichiwa) February 7, 2018

Whilst there has been a lack of music in recent times, Robyn has been far from quiet, and last year, she joined her compatriots Zara Larsson, First Aid Kit, and Tove Lo, in signing a letter decrying sexual abuse in Sweden’s music industry.

Th letter was published in Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter last week, and reads: “We demand zero tolerance for sexual exploitation or violence. Sexual assault or violence will have consequences in terms of terminations of contracts. We will put shame back where it belongs—with the perpetrators and the people protecting them.”

In 2017, Metronomy frontman Joe Mount revealed that he was a potential collaborator on Robyn’s new album, telling NME “I’ve been working with people on my own stuff, some new stuff, and I’m off to see Robyn in March to try and do some stuff with her.

“I’ve just been a bit of family man recently…but every time I do something with Robyn I get very excited, so hopefully I’ll be heavily involved in her next record but we’ll see.
