Ozzy has not performed a full concert since 2018, however his son Jack says he’s still keen to do one-off shows. Talking to The Messenger, Jack said, “I don’t think he’ll tour again. But he’s gunning to do one-off shows — like festivals, gigs, things like that. He’s not done yet.”

Speaking on his health himself, Ozzy shared, “Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready [to perform] yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed.” He released this statement following the cancellation of his slot at Power Festival in California, where he was set to headline alongside Metallica, AC/DC and Guns N’ Roses.

Ozzy also revealed on SiriusXM’s Ozzy Speaks that he recently had a blood clot removed from an artery. He said, “When I had the blood clots in my legs, they put a filter in your artery to stop the blood clots going to your heart and your brain. It sounds worse than it is.”

He continued, “So, on Monday, I went to have it removed. The blood clots have jammed you all up. It’s just disappointment after disappointment. Just get this thing fucking done so I can go get on with my life.”

Despite his multiple health concerns, Ozzy is keen to keep performing despite retiring from touring. He said, “You can’t retire from this game. It’s not a job, it’s a fucking passion.”

Ozzy has also announced his plans to record an LP in 2024, sharing, “I’m just starting to work on it now, and we’ll be recording in the early part of next year. I want to take my time with this one!”

He also took to social media to share the 40th Anniversary vinyl reissue of his iconic album, Bark at the Moon. The album was released on 15th November 1983 after the release of the titular track earlier on, becoming triple platnum in the US.

His Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour will end in July 2023, with Sir Elton confirming that he “will not be going on tour again” after this.

As reported by the Metro, Sir Elton has expressed the difficulty that touring causes, with him looking forward to “a little bit of freedom” to spend with his husband, David Furnish and their two sons, Zachary and Elijah. He explained, “Touring is exhausting for me now, and it takes me away from my family and my children.”

However, his fans can still hope to see him perform in the future, as he shared that “there may be the odd show.”

The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour began back in 2018 and has become the most lucrative tour in music history. The tour has already earned £678million with two months still left to go, and it is estimated that the tour will earn approximately £798million upon its completion. Sir Elton has very much challenged himself on this tour, with him having performed 330 shows in total by the end of the tour’s run.

To keep it interesting for himself and fans alike, Sir Elton’s setlists have varied from show to show, with the epics such as “Rocket Man” and “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” being accompanied by lesser known tracks including “Burn Down the Mission” and “Have Mercy on the Criminal.”

Sir Elton has also recorded a concert movie, Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium, available to watch on Disney+. The movie documents his final North American show, featuring special guests and explosive performances of his biggest hits from a career spanning many decades.

Despite suggesting that shows outside of his tour could be on the cards, Sir Elton did recently turn down the opportunity to perform at King Charles III’s Coronation Concert. This came as a surpise to fans, as Sir Elton has been a firm favourite of the Royals for many years, famously forming close relationships with Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth II.

Sir Elton performed a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II following her passing in September 2022, as well as attending Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 2011, and performing at the luncheon of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018.

Sir Elton is also close friends with King Charles and Queen Camilla, having invited the pair to his own wedding to David Furnish back in 2005.

Sir Elton’s lack of attendance was not meant to be viewed as a snub however, with his team confirming to Rolling Stone that it was simply due to scheduling conflicts.

The talented 25-year-old took to his Twitter last Wednesday to announce following the release of his first and last album this year he will be stepping away from music.

Yxng bane is from east London and the talented 25-year-old may have announced he will be releasing his debut album this year, it will be the 4th project of his career, having released a joint project titled ‘Any minute now’ with the South London duo D- Block Europe in 2018,  ‘HBK’ the mixtape in 2018 and ‘Quarantine: The lost files’ in 2020.

The artist’s retirement announcement comes as a surprise to those who are fans of the multi-talented and genre artist, his retirement cant be due to a lack of success with the 25-year-old having had 2 UK top 10, 6 top 40s and 15 top 75s.

Having emerged into the UK scene in 2016 alongside fellow east Londoner Kojo Funds 2ith their classic ‘Fine wine’ which currently sits on 17 million views, this was backed up by a cover of Ed Sheeran’s hit ‘Shape of you’ which saw Bane gain 21 million views and then drop ‘Rihanna’ his stand out song which sits on 43 million views and state in the charts for 15 weeks.

Yxng banes retirement comes as a shock to fans of the 25 years old. His debut album set to release later this year should give fans something to look forward to before the artist steps away from music.

Campbell has decided to leave the band due to health concerns. Earlier this month he suffered a seizure, which while it left no damage comes less than a year after the singer suffered a stroke in August 2020. He made a full recovery, but has decided that his ill health means he must retire from the music industry. In a statement, he said: ‘Unfortunately, due to continued ill health, I have reluctantly decided to retire from the band so as to focus on my recovery…‘I am very grateful, and would like to express my sincere thanks to the fans for all their support during this time and indeed throughout my time with UB40. The band have my full support going forward and, of course, my very best wishes for the future with their new singer.’

Campbell’s brother, Robin Campbell, also spoke out on the matter, saying ‘We’ve been rehearsing with every intention of Duncan’s return to performing, but sadly, after suffering further illness, he has made the decision to retire from music in order to concentrate fully on his recovery….While we are deeply saddened, we completely understand and fully support his decision. As far as touring goes, we are ready to hit the road for our upcoming summer shows and will be announcing our new frontman imminently.’

The news comes just after UB40’s new album ‘Bigga Baggariddim’ was released last week. No announcement has been made on who will replace Campbell as the singer of the band.
