The feature-length film focuses on Bastille as they push their creative and musical boundaries by reorchestrating their hits for a live ensemble of singers and musicians. The result is something fresh; the familiar Bastille favourites we know and love are reimagined, giving them a new lease of life. 

The documentary is an intimate portrayal of the realities of the music industry. Lead singer Dan Smith says: “I’ve always been really self-conscious… there’s tension between absolutely loving making music and the satisfaction of creating something with just really not liking being on stage.” 

“Like any job, you come to a point where maybe you’ve just had enough. I just had this sort-of epiphany moment…. how can we rearrange these songs in a way that’s totally unexpected, how can we have little moments that are really hair-raising, goosebump-inducing.” 

The band, made up of Dan Smith, Kyle Simmons, Will Farquarson and Chris ‘Woody’ Wood, formed in 2010. They shot to fame with singles such as Pompeii and Flaws, and their debut album, Bad Blood, hit number one in the UK album charts. This was followed by LPs Wild World and Doom Days. Their surprise release Goosebumps EP came out in December 2020.
