George Miller – stage name Joji – has announced his Solaris World Tour following the release of his newest album ‘Piss In The Wind‘. Breaking a four-year hiatus from touring, Joji will be back on stages all around the globe and will be playing three exclusive UK shows this August.

This comes as great news for fans who have patiently endured a long hiatus from Joji. After his third studio album ‘Smithereens‘ (2023) received intense critical acclaim worldwide, it has been speculated that he needed to step-back from the intensity of fame to focus on his mental health. Now, with a new perspective and an audience ready to remind him of their unconditional adoration, Joji has shared he’ll be playing almost forty shows globally in celebration of his fourth studio album.

Finding initial fame online in his former internet personality Filthy Frank and comedy music career as Pink Guy, Miller’s career took off in 2017 after the success of his EP ‘In Tongues‘, a lo-fi eery introduction which introduced his new-found sound. With quick recognition, Joji signed with 88Rising and produced trip-hop triumph albums ‘Ballads 1′ (2018) and ‘Nectar‘ (2020). The two albums peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, both featuring some of his most popular hits including ‘Slow Dancing In The Dark’ and ‘Sanctuary’. Later, he would see ‘Glimpse Of Us’ peak at #8 in the Billboard Hot 100 in 2023 and become his most-played track. His journey in becoming a global star has been rapid, backed ferociously with an already-formed fanbase from his earlier years of fame. Currently estimated to have 30 million monthly listeners across streaming platforms owed to his three globally-adored albums later, he has returned from off-the-grid to introduce his next work ‘Piss In The Wind‘.

His new album released on 6th February 2026 after an anticipated five month wait when he debuted the leading single ‘Pixelated Kisses’. The sneak-peak track held up intense excitement from fans of future music and the return of Joji to the immersive and ever-changing trip-hop realm. ‘Piss In The Wind‘ has had great reception since its release, being described by critics as “potentially the most authentic Joji project to date“.

Joji is set to commence his world tour later this year, landing him in the UK in August where he will play only three of his nearly 40 announced dates. The shows will be supported by In an Instagram made by the artist, he teases that the tour will be “all the old hits, all the new hits” as well as a “brand new setlist, brand new experience”.

Tickets aren’t on sale yet – but they will likely be fast to go.

65 fans of British Pop/R&B singer, Raye, were denied entry to her show at the Accor Arena in Paris on Sunday night despite holding valid tickets. The singer issued an official apology Tuesday evening and explained it was due to a ‘system error’ on the part of Ticketmaster. She added this situation was ‘outside of anything [she] could control’ and she is ‘saddened and let down.’ She called the situation ‘unacceptable and wrong,’ offering her ‘deepest apologies’ to those affected by the incident.

The singer acknowledged that fans were reimbursed by Ticketmaster and given a voucher by the company. But she went on to further offer those 65 affected fans free tickets to any future Raye show, as well as a complimentary signed vinyl.

The entire post of Raye’s apology is below.

Fans have come out in vocal support of this gesture.

A post on X from a fan calls this an example of Raye being a ‘genuinely kind human’ and how admirable it was for the singer to post about situation publicly. Another fan simply says, ‘what a gesture.’

This gesture to the affected fans is indicative of the rich sense of community the singer fosters within her fanbase, something which was felt by her in 2021 prior to the artist parting ways with her record label, Polydor.

Raye was signed to Polydor in 2014 at just 17 years old. There for six years, she released a series of singles, features, and EPs. But in June 2021, she took to X, formerly Twitter, to say the label had been withholding her debut album. She claimed that the release of her debut was now contingent on the success of her single, ‘Call on Me’ and opened up to fans on how the pressure of this negatively affected her. This show of vulnerability pulled fans closer to her. She said in one of her final posts that June evening, her fans had ‘made [her] feel heard.’ Raye stepped away from the spotlight after this, taking a brief hiatus. Almost exactly a year later, in June 2022, she released her first single as an independent artist, ‘Hard Out Here.’

Fast-forward to 2025 and Raye has been launched to a global level of notoriety after the success of her independently released 2022 debut album, ‘My 21st Century Blues’ and its viral third single, ‘Escapism.’ Throughout it all, she has retained the bravery and honesty which fans admire from her. In response to the incident at her Paris show this Sunday, one fan says, ‘the fact that an independent artist is apologizing and literally paying for [T]icketmaster’s mistakes out of her own pocket before that f**ka** company even says anything.. raye you are so special to all of us.’

South London-based saxophonist and producer Venna has teamed up with MIKE and Marco Bernardis to release ‘Day x2’, the third single from his upcoming debut album, ‘MALIK’.

Over a spacey, jazzy hip-hop beat, Venna delivers some smooth vocals, followed by an contemplative verse from MIKE. Marco Bernardis added some extra instrumentation on the track, providing sax, synth and guitar. Production was handled by Venna, agajon and Bernardis.

In a press release, Venna spoke of the songs meaning and his collaborators: “Day x2 is a record based around just letting each day flow and allowing yourself to be open to lessons. Life can be challenging at times and sometimes it can be hard to allow ourselves to just be pillars of love but it’s important to learn from things and move on with love in our hearts. I made the record with agajon (producer), Marco Bernardis & MIKE. All 3 are people I respect highly and are artists I’ve made music with already.“

He also spoke of his soon to be released debut album, ‘MALIK’, set to be released on September 5th. The 17-track project will feature a cast of collaborators including Jorja Smith, CARI, Leon Thomas, Smino, MIKE and musicians such as Rocco Palladino, Elijah Fox, AoD, J Warner, and frequent collaborator Yuseef Davies.

“Every experience, every memory, every conversation, anything new, any encounter has influenced how this album sounds. I might like a particular guitar tone from it, and then I bring it into my world. Everything has come and conjured into one place, and it’s beautiful to also hear and see,”

‘MALIK’ my debut self titled album will be released on the 5th September ‘25 .

A very special record that I’ve been blessed enough to work on with some of my favourite musicians and artists.

“The album MALIK was named by my mother 26 years before the album was made. A strong name that means King or leader in Arabic. A name that I’ve lived with all my life. A name that my nearest and dearest have called me & a name that I learnt to become. Throughout the whole process of the album – I’ve had another name that I loved but I felt like I wasn’t living in my undeniable truth & what better way to live in one’s truth than naming their debut album the name that their mother named them.”

Venna has had a decorated career as a musician and producer. Many will know him for his work alongside Knucks, who has enlisted him to help on several tracks, including as an executive producer on Knuck’s highly praised album ‘Alpha Place’. In 2020, he won a Grammy Award for his contributions to Burna Boy’s ‘Twice As Tall’ album and has also featured on tracks with Beyonce and Wizkid.

Venna has UK tour dates schedule in Autumn, performing in Bristol, Manchester and London. Tickets and details can be found here.

Mabel has shared plans for her self-titled mixtape, due to be released this summer.

This new project will be released on July 25 through Polydor Records, and is set to hold nine tracks in all. UK rapper Clavish is confirmed to feature on the tape, as well as Oscar Scheller and Arthur Bean providing production.

In a press release, Mabel gave a glimpse into what to expect from the tape:

“The tape is all new music made in the last few months with some of my nearest and dearest. It’s really important to me with this project that people know that this is where I’m at now and I wanted it to come out without too much overthinking.

It’s a blend of all the genres and cultures that make me who I am and I would say it’s beautiful organised chaos. It doesn’t have to make sense to everyone and I think it’s the first time in a long time I’ve been this unfiltered. There’s both a simplicity and a depth to the music that I love, in a way I just wrote it without too much thought but afterwards I realised it’s kind of a toxic love letter to my 10 years in the industry.”

The London pop songstress has dropped a few singles over 2025, including ‘Benz’ and ‘January 19’, which mix alt-R&B with afrobeat rhythms. She collaborated with Australian group ONEFOUR for the smooth drill track, ‘PHONE CALL’, and before that teamed up with King Promise for the afroswing banger ‘All Over You’.

Mabel, the daughter of 80’s Swedish musician Neneh Cherry, has had a successful career so far. Her 2017 debut single ‘Finders Keepers’ reached No. 8 on the UK singles charts. In 2019, her first album ‘High Expectations’ climbed to No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart, later going platinum.

The album featured several UK Top 10 singles, including ‘Don’t Call Me Up’ and ‘Boyfriend’. The following year in 2020, she won the Brit Award for ‘British Female Solo Artist’.

In 2022, she released her second studio album, ‘About Last Night’, a concept album that follows “the progress of a party, from arrival through romantic tension to break-up and final redemption”. It was a critical and commercial success, receiving praise for Mabel’s new musical direction, and debuting at No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart.

Mabel just performed at SXSW London last night (June 2), amongst a line-up that includes Sasha Keable, NAO and Tems, to name a few.
Presale for the ‘Psycho’ tour begins on February 27, with general ticket sales opening on February 28. Given his increasing global popularity and previous sold-out shows, tickets are expected to go quickly. VIP packages, offering premium seating, exclusive merchandise, and other perks, will also be available for select dates.

Don Toliver, born Caleb Zackery Toliver in Houston, Texas, rose to fame in 2018 after Travis Scott featured him on ‘Astroworld‘s’ ‘Can’t Say’. The song introduced his distinct melodic rap style to a wider audience and led to his signing with Scott’s Cactus Jack Records. That same year, Toliver released his mixtape ‘Donny Womack’, further showcasing his blend of rap and R&B.

His debut 2020 album, ‘Heaven or Hell’, reached number sixteen on the UK Official Charts, featuring viral hits like ‘No Idea’ and ‘After Party’. In 2021, he followed up with ‘Life of a Don’, which included tracks such as ‘What You Need’ and ‘Way Bigger’. 2023’s ‘Love Sick’ continued his rise, with notable singles like ‘Private Landing’ featuring Justin Bieber and Future. His most recent project, ‘Hardstone Psycho’, marks his fourth studio release and has been praised for its artistic depth and sonic experimentation, it’s utterly impressive how quickly he manages to pump out great new music.

In early 2025, Toliver collaborated with BTS’s J-Hope on ‘LV Bag’, a track produced by Pharrell Williams. The song debuted at the Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall-Winter 2025 fashion show in Paris on January 21 and was officially released on February 21. The collaboration blends Toliver’s signature sound with J-Hope’s dynamic Korean rap style, further expanding his international reach amongst English and non-English speaking fans.

With only three dates in the UK and Ireland, the ‘Psycho’ tour is set to be one of the most in-demand hip-hop events of the year. Given his reputation for high-energy performances and a growing international fanbase, these shows are likely to sell out fast. No doubt this year will also bring more new exciting things for the artist.

Following his debut album, released on January 24, it is no surprise that London rapper Central Cee claims the No. 1 spot on the Charts this week. His collaborative single ‘GBP’ with Atlanta rapper 21 Savage has debuted at the top of the Hip Hop and R&B Charts, also securing No. 6 on the UK Singles Charts. The track’s success underscores its significance as a transatlantic collaboration, blending UK and US rap into a confident, gritty single.

Beaten by ‘GBP’ for the top position is the Weeknd and Playboi Carti’s second collaboration ‘Timeless.’ Opening with retro synths that evoke 1980s video game soundtracks, Carti’s laid-back flow paired with The Weeknd’s melodic sensibility has helped the song go viral particularly on TikTok.

‘Denial is a River’ stands out as a key track from Doechii’s 2024 album ‘Alligator Bites Never Heal.’ The song blends personal narrative with broader themes of self-deception and betrayal. The 1990s Hip-Hop influences, combined with conversational dialogue at the beginning of the track, give the single a reflective tone, propelling it to No. 3 on the Hip-Hop Charts this week.

South African singer Tyla brings her vibrant sound with her song ‘Push 2 Start’, released in October 2024 as part of the deluxe edition of her debut studio album. The reggae-infused afrobeats blended with amapiano-R&B elements create infectious rhythms. Lyrically, the song is packed with metaphors, particularly surrounding cars and driving, emphasising her desire for a committed and engaging relationship.

‘Luther’ marks the eighth collaborative track between Kendrick Lamar and SZA, released last year ahead of their USA Tour this April and Superbowl Halftime Show. The love ballad blends contemporary R&B and Hip-Hop elements with lush string sections and 808 beats. Lamar delivers a heartfelt confession of love, while SZA’s choruses offer a woman’s perspective, adding depth to the storytelling.

SZA also claims sixth position with the track ‘BMF’, from her deluxe album SOS Deluxe: Lana. The song merges R&B and dance, with a retro bossa nova feel that transitions into a more upbeat, transformative sound. Drawing inspiration from ‘The Girl from Ipanema’ and Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believin’, ‘BMF’ exemplifies SZA’s ability to blend various genres with infectious energy and relatable lyrics.

Taking seventh spot is American artist Tyler the Creator and English singer Loly Young with ‘Like Him’. From Tyler’s seventh studio album, ‘Chromakopia’, the song delves into Tyler’s absent father and the impact of this absence on his identity. It is characterised by soulful elements and piano-led production, creating an emotionally charged atmosphere and making this an introspective exploration of personal identity.

The Kid LAROI’s viral hit ‘Nights Like This’ claims the No. 9 spot, continuing its impressive 32-week run on the Hip-Hop and R&B Charts. Its melancholic yet catchy blend of pop-rap and R&B features atmospheric synths and moody bassline, making it one of the standout tracks on his ‘FCK LOVE (Savage)*’ album released last year

Finally, The Weeknd’s ‘Save Your Tears’ holds strong on the UK Charts despite being released as part of his 2020 album ‘After Hours’. The track’s blend of retro synth-pop and new wave influences, along with its heavily reverb, auto-tuned vocals, add a dreamy, detached feeling and has contributed to its continued success on the charts.

This week’s chart positions highlight the importance of collaborations between artists and emotional storytelling shaping the modern Hip-Hop and R&B scene. As artists continue to push boundaries and experiment with new sounds, the charts serve as a reflection of the exciting and diverse musical landscape of today.

Vybz Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer, has been released from prison after serving 13 years for the murder of associate Clive “Lizard” Williams. The 48-year-old was arrested in 2011 alongside three other men in connection to the murder and in 2014 was sentenced to 35 years in prison which was later reduced on appeal to 32 and a half.

At the time of the trial, Jamaican police claimed in a testimony that they saw a text on Kartel’s phone stating that Williams’ body had been turned to “mincemeat.” His body was never recovered.

During his time in prison, Kartel and the co-accused Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones, and Andre St John, maintained their innocence. Kartel appealed to courts in Jamaica before taking his case to the Privy Counsel in London which serves as the highest court of appeal in Jamaica and other commonwealth countries.

In March, a UK-based Privy Council overturned the conviction after finding evidence of jury misconduct as attempted bribery occurred during the initial trial. The decision for whether or not to hold a retrial was left to the Court of Appeal in Jamaica.

On the 31st of July the court ruled that a retrial was not required and Kartel was released from prison on that same Wednesday.

"Mi a tell di yute dem stay out of f$@!%&!" – Words of warning from entertainer Vybz Kartel as he took his first steps into freedom in Kingston on Wednesday afternoon.

In an article by Rolling Stones back in 2016, they commented on Kartel’s “mischievous public persona,” stating that “few have captured [the dancehall] audience – or offended the sensibilities of its detractors – as consistently and thoroughly as Kartel.”

Kartel’s popularity among dancehall music is undeniable and can be seen through his popular singles which include Fever and Romping Shop (ft. Spice). He is most well known, perhaps, for his collaboration with Major Lazer to make the single Pon De Floor which was heavily sampled in Beyonce’s Run the World (Girls). Kartel has also collaborated with other hip hop and R&B artists such as Unknown T, Rhianna, Jay-Z, and Digga D.

Drake has also commented on Kartel in the past, stating that he is “one of my biggest inspirations and one of my favourite artists. You want to talk about a guy that is coming out of somewhere or who is coming out of a place that has their own thing, their own culture and absolutely just taking over to becoming the one person to idolise.”

Many may be wondering what will be next for Vybez Kartel now that he has been released. One need not wonder long, however, as mere hours after his release Kartel dropped First Week Out, a 12-track mixtape pulling together projects he had made during his time in prison.

Given the immediacy of the mixtape’s release, one can only assume that more projects can be expected from Kartel.

British producer, DJ, and designer, Joseph Thornalley, commonly known as Vegyn, has released a new single on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music. Vegyn is known for his glitchy electronic dance rhythms. Releasing his first Album All Bad Things Have Ended – Your Lunch Included in 2014, Vegyn exploded in popularity after his work with Frank Ocean. After meeting Ocean at the now-defunct London nightclub, Plastic People, Thornalley was invited to collaborate with Frank Ocean and his team on projects scheduled to release in 2016. Vegyn worked with Frank on Endless, a visual album released exclusively on Apple Music, and then subsequently on a limited physical press in 2016. Following Endless, Vegyn collaborated with Ocean again on Blonde, Frank Ocean’s best-selling album so far.

Since 2016, Vegyn has been a prominent producer, working with alternative Hip-Hop artists like JPEG MAFIA, featuring production on his third studio album All My Heroes Are Cornballs. Vegyn’s talents have also touched the mainstream, collaborating with Travis Scott on the wildly successful 2018 album Astroworld.

Outside of his collaborations with big-name American hip-hop and R&B artists, Vegyn has released a steady stream of solo albums, EPs, and singles. Since the release of his latest album, The Head Hurts but the Heart Knows the Truth, in May of 2023, Vegyn has released three singles, the most recent of which was released today (January 16). ‘The Path Less Travelled’ is a laid-back bouncy track that features Vegyn’s signature digital glitchy soundscape layered on top of melodic piano chords, and snappy drum rhythms.

‘The Path Less Travelled’ is the third single released in the run up to his sixth full album THE ROAD TO HELL IS PAVED WITH GOOD INTENTIONS. Posting on Instagram, Vegyn announced THE ROAD TO HELL IS PAVED WITH GOOD INTENTIONS, along with the full thirteen-song track list.

Speaking with Gadfly Magazine about his creative process in June of 2023, Thornally said “I like electronic music because there aren’t as many tethers to conventional structures—it’s so much more fluid.” This approach to music production has led to the development of Vegyn’s unique, genre-defying, electronic compositions. Thornalley continues to prove himself as one of the most creative and distinctive producers in the UK electronic scene. With the release of ‘The Path Less Travelled’, ‘Halo Flip’, and ‘Makeshift Tourniquet’, Thornalley’s upcoming album is gearing up to be one of his best so far.

American R&B singer Ne-Yo has announced dates for his ‘Champagne & Roses’ 2024 tour with support from Mario, also a fellow American R&B singer. The tour will take place in early March next year starting at the AO Arena in Manchester and will end at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham.

The singer announced on his Instagram: “The CHAMPAGNE & ROSES TOUR is going overseas! Excited to be hitting Europe & the UK with my brother @marioworldwide in 2024! Tickets go on sale 11/24!”

Ne-Yo, also known by his birth name Shaffer Chimere Smith, was born in Arkansas to two African-American parents. Both his parents were musicians, but was raised by his mother in Las Vegas, Nevada after she separated from his father. While he was at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts, Ne-Yo joined an R&B group named Envy. However, the group disbanded in 2000.

The American songwriter began to gain recognition when he wrote Mario’s hit single “Let Me Love You”. According to the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade Chart in 2009, the song was the eighth most successful single of the decade. The song ranked number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and held that position for nine weeks. After the success of “Let Me Love You”, Ne-Yo had a meeting with the American multinational record label Def Jam. He was eventually signed by Jay-Z, the then-CEO of the label.

In 2006, Ne-Yo released his debut album titled In My Own Words. The album consisted of thirteen tracks including songs such as “So Sick”, “When You’re Mad”, “It Just Ain’t Right”, and “Sexy Love”. Ne-Yo worked with a number of musicians on the album inlcuding Ron “Nef-U” Feemster, Brandon Howard, Shea Taylor, and Curtis “Sauce” Wilson. Rappers Peedi Peedi and Ghostface Killah also feature on songs in the album.

The album was positively received and earned a Grammy Award nomination in the Best Contemporary R&B Album category. Furthermore, In My Own Words debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 and became a platinum-seller in Australia, Japan, and the United Kingdom. In August 2006, Ne-Yo went on tour with Chris Brown and Dem Franchize Boyz.

Last year, Ne-Yo released his ninth studio album Self Explanatory. The album debuted at number 184 on the US Billboard 200 which is his lowest charting album in the country. The album contains thirteen tracks with features from Jeremih, Trippie Redd, and Yung Bleu. Self Explanatory is available to listen on all platforms.

No Guidnce have taken 2023 by storm with their boy band charm and classic vibes, causing a stir in the new music community.

In a recent interview with plus44uk, they described their musical style as “Bringing back that throwback 90’s R&B, with a modern day twist.”

Since dropping their EP on the 1st June 2023 Is It A Crime, they have found themselves headlining their own gig in London.

It will feature tracks from the EP such as “Is It a Crime” and “Committed.” They have come a long way from the 90’s R&B cover tracks they performed in a London car park; however, the traction has built from there, where they became one of the 6th most watched videos on TikTok, with over 1 billion views!

New Musical Express aka NME have said this about the boy band “No Guidnce have the potential to become British R&B icons.”

The four members of the band Ebubé aged 20, Zeekay and Kaci, who are both 19 and Josh who is 22, are taking to the stage in the UK for the first time to headline at the Lower Third in London. The event will show case their unique modern twist to 90’s R&B as described by the band themselves.

The London venue is the perfect host for the young boy band to showcase their talents and perform their first headline act. The venue boasts on their site “We are a community celebrating creativity in all its forms. In a musically focused way.”

This seemingly novice venue moves from a cocktail bar, down into an underground venue with a staged area that can hold up to 230 people! This will be where the band is set to play their headliner of 2023.

The band dropped their new single called” Yeah, Yeah” on August 31st. Fans took to Instagram with their opinions of the new single to say “On repeat already.” And “They keep dropping banger after banger.”

No Guidnce are yet to confirm if this new single will be included in their headline show or not, or if fans will hear new material during their gig at the Lower Third in London.

The headline performance will take place on the 18th September 2023 .

A recent post on No Guidnce Instagram feed said “London Family!!!! You guys sold out our first ever headline show in 2 minutes, we can’t wait to see you there!!” No Guidnce are yet to comment on whether more tickets will go on for sale for their headline debut.
