She said the vinyl is “a first edition” and stressed that it is “not a fraudulent album,” but acknowledged that the digital versions of some songs are different.

The apology came during an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, where RAYE discussed the difficult process of finishing the album. She said she wanted listeners to understand that the vinyl reflects an earlier stage of the project, and that she had tried her best to get the record right.

RAYE’s rise has been marked by a series of major milestones. She broke records at the BRIT Awards in 2024 after winning six trophies in one night, a moment that cemented her status as one of British pop’s leading names. The momentum continued into 2026, with an earth-shattering performance at The Brits, debuting her latest album with the track ‘Nightingale Lane’.

Her recent single ‘Where Is My Husband!’ also added to that success, becoming one of her strongest commercial moments of the year. The track was released in September 2025, went Silver in the UK within weeks, and later reached Platinum, showing that her audience continues to grow beyond the critics’ approval.

According to reports, the issue affects the vinyl format rather than the digital release. The artist’s comments have sparked attention because the album was presented as a major creative statement, with RAYE taking a central role in its making.

In her remarks, RAYE described the process of completing the record as “beautiful” but “agonising,” suggesting the final stages of the album’s production were especially demanding. Her apology was directed at fans who had purchased the vinyl expecting it to match the later digital versions.

That makes the vinyl issue particularly frustrating for both the artist and her fans. Physical formats remain an important part of RAYE’s release strategy, especially for collectors who value the artwork, packaging and exclusivity that come with special editions. For many listeners, buying the vinyl is about more than just owning the music; it is a way of supporting the artist directly.

In an Instagram post, the singer shared a photo of herself holding a journal with the track list written in pen, along with drawings and brackets which explain the album’s four-act structure. This homespun reveal cements itself as a Raye tradition—in 2023 the singer revealed the track list of her debut album in the same fashion.

‘This May Contain Hope’ presents itself as a concept album, based around an emotional journey throughout the four seasons. Beginning in Autumn and ending in Summer, each season represents one act and contains four songs, with the exception of Summer which will have five.

Exciting collaborations were revealed with the songs: ‘Click Clack Symphony’ will feature Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer; and ‘Goodbye Henry’ will feature renowned Hall of Fame soul singer, Al Green. These are two impressive features to score on an artist’s second album. But Raye is also keeping this project close to her heart with contributions from three of her family members. ‘Fields’ will feature her ‘Grandad Michael,’ a songwriter in his own right. And track 15, ‘Joy’ will feature Raye’s younger sisters, Abby-Lynn Keen and Laura Keen, known by their respective stage names of Absolutely and Amma. The three sisters have appeared together professionally multiple times: on the cover of Flaunt magazine as well as on the Graham Norton show, and performing together at the 2025 Jingle Ball. 

Raye’s second album has marked itself as a family project since the beginning. The runaway lead single, ‘Where Is My Husband!’ saw a contribution from the singer’s grandmother, Agatha Dawson-Amoah, who delivered the now famous line, “Your husband is coming.” She is listed in the album’s eclectic cast of characters as ‘Gramma.’ A portion of the album’s entire cast can be seen in the sneak peak at the vinyl gatefold shared by the singer in her Tuesday evening Instagram post. The collaborators listed previously are visible there, as well as four of the album’s co-producers: Mike Sabath, Tom Richards, Chris Hill and Pete Clements.

Also in the post, the singer included a note that said “to the mean person who leaked my tracklist you rlly suck (big thumbs down)” as the singer gave the camera a displeased double thumbs-down. But despite leaks, fans have been eager to share their enthusiasm over these album details, now revealed on the singer’s terms.

One fan on X says, “THIS ALBUM WILL BE EVERYTHING AND MORE TRUST!!!!” While on Reddit, one user said they were particularly excited about the contributions from Al Green and Hans Zimmer and the album was “about to be right at the top of my Spotify wrapped.”

Raye is currently on her This Tour May Contain New Music Tour which is set to next land in the US and Canada at the end of the month. True to the tour’s name, she has already given a great deal of her second album’s songs their live debut. Fans have commented on ‘Joy,’ ‘Click Clack Symphony,’ ‘Beware.. The South London Lover Boy’ and ‘Skin & Bones’ as being early favourites.

The album releases 27 March 2026. Until then, in her Instagram post, Raye suggests fans “choose their season” and “claim their title.”

The singer issued an official apology Tuesday evening and explained it was due to a ‘system error’ on the part of Ticketmaster. She added this situation was ‘outside of anything [she] could control’ and she is ‘saddened and let down.’ She called the situation ‘unacceptable and wrong,’ offering her ‘deepest apologies’ to those affected by the incident.

The singer acknowledged that fans were reimbursed by Ticketmaster and given a voucher by the company. But she went on to further offer those 65 affected fans free tickets to any future Raye show, as well as a complimentary signed vinyl.

Fans have come out in vocal support of this gesture.

A post on X from a fan calls this an example of Raye being a ‘genuinely kind human’ and how admirable it was for the singer to post about situation publicly. Another fan simply says, ‘what a gesture.’

This gesture to the affected fans is indicative of the rich sense of community the singer fosters within her fanbase, something which was felt by her in 2021 prior to the artist parting ways with her record label, Polydor.

Raye was signed to Polydor in 2014 at just 17 years old. There for six years, she released a series of singles, features, and EPs. But in June 2021, she took to X, formerly Twitter, to say the label had been withholding her debut album. She claimed that the release of her debut was now contingent on the success of her single, ‘Call on Me’ and opened up to fans on how the pressure of this negatively affected her. This show of vulnerability pulled fans closer to her. She said in one of her final posts that June evening, her fans had ‘made [her] feel heard.’ Raye stepped away from the spotlight after this, taking a brief hiatus. Almost exactly a year later, in June 2022, she released her first single as an independent artist, ‘Hard Out Here.’

Fast-forward to 2025 and Raye has been launched to a global level of notoriety after the success of her independently released 2022 debut album, ‘My 21st Century Blues’ and its viral third single, ‘Escapism.’ Throughout it all, she has retained the bravery and honesty which fans admire from her. In response to the incident at her Paris show this Sunday, one fan says, ‘the fact that an independent artist is apologizing and literally paying for [T]icketmaster’s mistakes out of her own pocket before that f**ka** company even says anything.. raye you are so special to all of us.’

The concert will return to The O2 in London on December 6 and 7.

The Capital Jingle Bell Ball is a Christmas concert held in the UK every year and is hosted by Capital FM at The O2 Arena, which features top pop artists.

It’s known for its festive atmosphere, star-studded lineup and spectacular performances and celebrates the year’s biggest hits as well as kicking off the holiday season.

The line-up for night one was revealed this morning on Capital Breakfast by hosts Jordan North, Chris Stark, and Siân Welby, who have also teased additional surprise performances.

Jordan said, “It’s official… Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard is back and this line-up is huge! The O2 is going to absolutely go off, and we’ve only announced night one!”

Also joining the line-up are Rizzle Kicks, Mimi Webb, Molly, Sonny Fodera, and Alessi Rose. A surprise Barclaycard Out of the Blue performance is also scheduled for the night.

Ed Sheeran returns following the release of his eighth studio album, ‘Play’, which includes the Number 1 single, ‘Azizam’. With over 200 million records sold worldwide, his performance is expected to be one of the highlights of the weekend.

Eight-time BRIT Award-winner RAYE joins the line-up, performing hit singles including ‘WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!?’, and in a world-exclusive, will perform alongside her sisters Absolutely and Amma.

Anne-Marie is also set to deliver a performance full of her hit singles, including her latest single ‘DEPRESSED’.

Leigh-Anne will perform ahead of her debut solo album ‘My Ego Told Me To‘ which is set to be released next month.

Rizzle Kicks will make their first Jingle Bell Ball appearance since 2013, following the announcement of new music earlier this year.

The line-up also includes rising talent Alessi Rose, who has been named the first Capital Buzz Artist for Saturday night (December 6). The emerging singer recently supported Tate McRae and Noah Kahan on tour and will make her Capital Jingle Bell Ball debut.

Fans reactions to the line-up has been mainly positive with comments on the Instagram post including, “RAYE AND HER SISTERS IS EVERYTHING”, and “raye? alessi? absolutely? amma? anne-marie? leigh-anne? capital you have PULLED THROUGH”, but there has been some criticism with people saying, “please let Sunday’s lineup be better” and “Wow that is an awful lineup”.

Tickets will go on general sale November 7 via Global Player. Pre-sale access starts at 9am on November 6 for Capital listeners with a Global ID and Barclaycard customers, who can also get 10 per cent off tickets via Barclays Entertainment.

Taking the stage around 1AM, barefoot and dressed in flowing jade silk, RAYE turned the legendary jazz club into her own small theatre. Instead of the huge sound and production that often surround her, this was a stripped-back, vulnerable set that drew everyone in close.

From the very beginning, RAYE admitted how much this performance meant to her, calling Ronnie Scott’s a “sacred ground.” It wasn’t a place for spectacle, but for connection. Things weren’t perfect – at one point a microphone cable slipped out, and later she lost her place in the lyrics. But these small mistakes only made the night feel more real and more human. The audience leaned in even more, caught up in her mix of confidence and vulnerability.

The setlist offered something for everyone. She performed new songs, old favourites, and even surprised the crowd with unexpected choices. One of the most moving moments came when she sat at the piano to sing ‘A Working Class Lullaby’. It was quiet, restrained, and full of emotion, showing that her voice is just as powerful when it isn’t being pushed to the limit. Later, she dismissed her band mid-song and sang ‘Summertime’ almost in a whisper before building it into a huge, soaring finish. The shift between soft and loud, delicate and bold, became a theme of the night.

Her newer songs also shone in this setting. ‘Mary Jane’ and ‘Where Is My Husband!’ came alive with jazzy brass arrangements and playful energy. At one point she even invited two fans from the audience to come up and dance, adding to the sense that this wasn’t just a performance but a shared experience. The night closed with a jazz-infused rendition of ‘Escapism’, her biggest hit.

RAYE didn’t try to hide her nerves or cover up mistakes. She laughed at herself, challenged the idea that all she can do is “belt,” and showed off a voice that can be subtle, textured, and expressive. While comparisons to Amy Winehouse are common in this setting, RAYE proved she is carving out her own path, one built on her honesty and unique storytelling.

The iconic drum-and-bass trio have announced the release of a compilation of ‘lost tapes’, featuring unheard tracks recorded throughout the years. This announcement comes just 5 days after their fifth studio album ‘RUDIME3NTAL‘ was released, on August 22. They are currently on tour with their new album and showed off their new single (‘Nights Like These featuring Rag’n’Bone Man’) while playing at Reading and Leeds Festival. See the reveal below:

The trio, comprising of Piers Aggett, Kesi Dryden and Leon Rolle, first released music in 2009, before approaching Amir Amor to be a songwriter and producer for the band in 2011. They continued as a quartet until 2022 before Amir left, leaving the band as a trio of the original members. They have discussed the release of the new demo tape with The Sun’s Bizarre column. Speaking to Bizarre, they spoke about unreleased collaborations with the likes of Ed Sheeran and RAYE, revealing that the their track with Ed Sheeran was recorded eight years ago and is still in the vault.

The band also revealed that they have barely left the studio since the release of their fourth album ‘Ground Control’, released in 2021. In this time, they wrote around 3,000 songs and were ready to release ‘RUDIM3NTAL‘ 2 years ago, until writing ‘Nights Like These’ with Rag’n’Bone man in December 2024 and finally deciding the album was ready for release. Due to the hard work and dedication by the band, their sixth album is already 70 percent complete. Speaking to Bizarre, Piers Aggett said “This album really was finished a year to two years ago, and then what happens is, you get in the studio and we wrote ‘Nights Like These (featuring Rag ’N’ Bone Man)’ in December. And we’re like, ‘OK, let’s finish that, then we’ll put the album out’. We’ve already definitely half-made the next album. Maybe 70 per cent of the next album.”

Rudimental also announced the conception of their own new record label in 2026. Speaking to Bizarre, Kesi Dryden said “As Rudimental, we’ve always been a platform for artists. And in 2026, we’re ­starting a new record label. We’ll be supporting new vocalists, new producers and dance acts. I think that’s a big part of our focus. I think that’s reignited the fire for us and we’re super-excited about the next chapter.”

Rudimental are well known for creating songs of the summer and have a catalogue of hits, including ‘These Days’ featuring Jess Glynne, ‘Feel The Love’ featuring John Newman and ‘Waiting All Night’ featuring Ella Eyre, all songs which reached #1 in the UK Official Singles Chart. The band have fine-tuned the creation of #1 singles, so be prepared to hear much more of them following the release of their latest album.

The ceremony will take place at Grosvenor House, London, on Thursday 22 May 2025.

Lola Young has picked up the most nominations this year, including ‘Best Song Musically and Lyrically’ for her hit track ‘Messy’, ‘Best Album’ for her record ‘This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway’, and the ‘Rising Star’ award.

The ex-Brit School student shot to fame with her toxic relationship love song, ‘Messy’, which reached No. 1 in January, also topping worldwide charts including Australia and Ireland.

At the Ivors 2024, RAYE took home the ‘Songwriter Of The Year’ award. This year, she’s also nominated in the ‘Best Song Musically And Lyrically’ for her tune ‘Genesis’, and in the running for ‘Most Performed Work’ for ‘Prada’, a collaboration between her, Cassö, and D-Block Europe.

Charli XCX is also in the race for the ‘Best Album’ award with her rave-influenced record ‘BRAT’ that took the world by storm in 2024. Other names in the ring for the award are UK rapper/grime legend Ghetts with his highly praised fourth album ‘On Purpose, With Purpose’, and multi-talented musician/producer Berwyn, with his debut studio album ‘WHO AM I’.

Ghetts has also scored a shot at the ‘Best Contemporary Song’ category with his tune ‘Double Standards (feat. Sampha), his second nomination of this year’s awards. Other artists in contention for this prize include JADE with ‘Angel of My Dreams’, Sans Soucis with ‘Circumnavigating Georgia’, Bashy with ‘How Black Men Lose Their Smile’ and Pa Saileu with ‘Allergy’.

In March, it was announced that U2 would receive ‘Fellowship Of The Ivors Academy’, the highest honour that the organization can give. This places the band alongside iconic names such as Sir Paul McCartney, Kate Bush, Elton John and Bruce Springsteen, who was the first international songwriter to receive the award last year.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the illustrious awards. The Ivors were made to celebrate the craft and artistry of songwriters. They are judged peer-to-peer by songwriters and composers, for songwriters and composers, rather than by industry representatives or broader audiences.

Tom Gray, Chair of The Ivors Academy, shared his excitement for the 2025 Ivors: “Everyone knows The Ivors are the most joyful celebration of music making in the calendar. Many of the most talented and creative people on the planet get together to celebrate each other’s exceptional originality and craft. Congratulations to all of the remarkable nominees this year. It’s a huge privilege for The Ivors Academy to champion music creation in all its forms.”

The 45th Brit Awards unfolded tonight, March 1, at London’s O2 Arena, celebrating the pinnacle of musical talent from the past year. Hosted by Jack Whitehall for the fifth time, the ceremony was marked by standout performances and notable victories.

Charli XCX won Song of the Year for her collaboration with Billie Eilish on ‘Guess’. The singer was against The Beatles, Dua Lipa, Myles Smith, and JADE in this category. In her acceptance speech, she said: “Thank you, this is cool. I’m pretty happy that a song about underwear now has a Brit Award.”

The singer also won Best Album, Best Dance Act, Songwriter of the Year, and Artist of the Year, a total of five awards. JADE won Best Pop Act. Other nominees included Myles Smith and Lola Young. This marks JADE’s first solo Brit Award since Little Mix announced their hiatus in 2022. The singer also delivered a captivating performance of her debut solo single ‘Angel of My Dreams‘.

Sam Fender won Best Alternative/Rock Act against The Cure and also delivered a performance of his latest single ‘People Watching‘. The musician expressed his gratitude to his fans, acknowledging their pivotal role in his success. He further thanked his band, stating: “I want to say a huge thanks to my band, who without, I’m just a mad person shouting at walls.”

The Rising Brit Award went to Myles Smith. The award is traditionally announced in advance to allow the winner to be celebrated in the lead-up to the event and often gives them the opportunity to perform during the ceremony itself. Both Smith and Georgia Davies of The Last Dinner Party, who won The Best New Artist Award, used their acceptance speeches to address concerns regarding the UK government’s support for the music industry. Davies said: “We wouldn’t be a band, and a lot of the artists here would not be bands either, without the UK’s incredible independent venues, and they are the lifeblood of the music industry and they are dying.”
Ezra Collective won Group of the Year, their first Brit Award. The band was against Bring Me The Horizon, Coldplay, The Cure, and The Last Dinner Party. Fontaines D.C. won International Group of the Year. Sabrina Carpenter was presented with the Global Success award.

Chappell Roan won International Song of the Year for ‘Good Luck, Babe‘. The track entered the Official Singles Chart Top 40 in April 2024. It peaked and remained in the Top 10 for 16 weeks and was the eighth biggest single of 2024 in the UK. The singer also won International Artist of the Year. Stormzy won his fourth Brit Award for Best Rap/ Hip-Hop Act and RAYE secured her seventh Brit Award for Best R&B Act.

A heartfelt tribute was paid to Liam Payne, who tragically passed away in October 2024 at the age of 31. The ceremony featured a video montage celebrating Payne’s life and illustrious career, from his early days on The X Factor to his monumental success with One Direction and his subsequent solo endeavours. The montage included performances, childhood photos, and personal moments with his family, all set to the backdrop of One Direction’s ‘Little Things‘.

As the 2025 Brit Awards came to a close, the night celebrated the very best in British and global music, with standout performances and unforgettable moments. Following the record-breaking attendance of 480,000 fans in 2024, organisers aim to make this year’s event even bigger with a mix of top British artists. Fans gathered at Silverstone’s newly expanded music arena during the 2024 British Grand Prix weekend, enjoying performances from a remarkable roster of artists such as Kings of Leon, Stormzy, Pete Tong, and Rudimental.

In 2025, ticket holders can look forward to another four incredible evenings of live music and entertainment, all included at no additional cost. This year’s four-day festival promises to elevate Silverstone’s music and arts offerings, solidifying the British Grand Prix as a key event on both the British sporting and music calendars.

Thursday’s Opening Concert will feature BRIT Award-winning singer-songwriter Sam Fender as the headliner, while chart-topping, multi-award-winning artist RAYE will take the stage on Friday for her first UK outdoor performance of 2025.

On Saturday, fans can look forward to legendary DJ, producer, and electronic music icon Fatboy Slim, who will bring his groundbreaking beats and high-energy performance to the stage. Fatboy Slim shared his excitement with fans in a recent article, saying, “Just like the action on the track, my Saturday night set is going to be fast, loud, and absolutely electrifying!”

To wrap up the weekend, double Brit Award-winning singer-songwriter and dance music powerhouse Becky Hill will close the main stage on Sunday with her anthemic take on modern dance music.Along with Fatboy Slim, Becky Hill also commented on the lineup saying: “I can’t wait to be back at Silverstone to headline the final night at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix festival. It’s going to be a huge weekend of high-energy action on the track and on the stage!”

Silverstone’s Chief Commercial Officer Nick Read commented on the lineup saying: “Over the past few years we have established Silverstone as a world-class venue that attracts the biggest and best artists to deliver unforgettable experiences, and it’s an honour to continue that as we announce Sam Fender, RAYE, Fatboy Slim, and Becky Hill as our stellar all-British headliners for the 2025 Formula 1 British Grand Prix Festival. Following the incredible success of last year’s music offering, we knew we had to raise the bar once again – and we’re thrilled to be delivering a lineup packed with homegrown talent at the very top of their game.”

Accompanied by an orchestra, the British soul/R&B singer gave a belting rendition of “Oscar Winning Tears”, a track from her 2023 album ‘My 21st Century Blues’. She was one of a handful of nominees to perform on the night.

Elegantly styled in a sequined black dress, RAYE sang with striking delivery. The orchestral arrangements and backing vocals brought a grandiose sound to the proceedings. In the song’s outro, her delicate vocal runs earned a roar from the crowd. She received a standing ovation, with the camera catching Beyonce, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys smiling and raising their hands. RAYE was nominated for three Grammys this year, ‘Best New Artist’ and ‘Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical’. She missed out on both, with Chappell Roan taking ‘Best New Artist’, and Amy Allen taking home ‘Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical’. She was also nominated for ‘Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical’ as a contributor to Lucky Daye’s album ‘Algorithim‘. While she may have lost out on the awards, the nominations were a proud feat for the Tooting-born singer. In November, she shared an emotional clip on Instagram after learning she’d been nominated for this year’s awards. With crying eyes, she wrote in her video “Grammy nominated tears”, and in her caption put “God knows all it took to get here”.

In an interview with People in 2024, RAYE said that winning a Grammy was a childhood dream of hers. “When I was little, the first image I saw was that gorgeous golden gramophone,” she said. “For a British girl, you watch the Grammys at home, like, ‘Wow, one day maybe I’ll make it there.’”

She humbly acknowledged the strong competition for ‘Best New Artist’, appearing alongside fellow nominees Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Teddy Swims, Benson Boone, Shaboozey, Doechii and Khruangbin. “And I think that’s why for that award, I’m not even holding my breath,” she joked.

She added, “I’m just happy to be listed amongst these incredible artists who are just absolutely killing it and having Billboard No. 1s and selling out freaking huge arenas. I still feel like I’ve got a lot of work to do and a long way to go, but it’s just a really beautiful thing.”

RAYE was one of many live acts on the for the 2025 Grammys – Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Lady Gaga also gave memorable performances. There was a surprise appearance from The Weeknd, who had previously boycotted the awards show. Doechii and Sabrina Carpenter took to the stage, and a Quincy Jones tribute featured Janelle Monáe, Stevie Wonder, Cynthia Erivo, and jazz legend Herbie Hancock.
