On SoundCloud the artist released a privated additional note ‘Stream Introduction’ where she explains the concept of the EP and its significance to her growth. She states, ‘I wrote this EP about my dreams of having a little house with my future partner and my dreams of having lots of land, a small house and having animals’. The concept is reflected in the album cover of the artist sitting on a picturesque stretch of grass with a little cottage-like house in the distance.

Chinouriri’s previous album ‘What A Devastating Turn Of Events’ in 2024 gained immense popularity in the indie scene with the most popular track ‘So My Darling- Acoustic’ reaching over 67,000,000 listens since its release.  The album talks love, trauma and belonging, inspired by her upbringing in a Zimbabwean household in Croydon.

The artist explains in an interview with Teen Vogue her experience being raised by her parents who were teenage soldiers in the Rhodesian Bush War, “There’s a sense of pride and real toughness from being a soldier…but I think the trauma that it leaves — no matter what the outcome is — from war is one of the worst things I’ve been able to witness firsthand.”. This heartbreaking vulnerability comes through in the album, and we follow her soft, dreamy tone similarly into ‘Little House’.

‘Little House’ begins with a fun dance track reminiscent of a teen coming of age film from the 2000s. Think Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging with a hint of Wild Child. This is the kind of song imagined as a romantic montage over the top of Chinouriri’s candy-sweet vocals, fitting with the song written as loving dedication to her partner Isaac.   

Following this is ’23:42′, which shows the artist’s breathy voice bouncing along a synth beat. It has a slightly sadder tone with pained lyrics ‘What the hell am I doing thinking you’re right?’ ‘What the hell am I like?’. The artist debuted the track in Copenhagen on Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet tour.

Her third track ‘Judas (Demo)’ is immediately soft and sombre with a thin acoustic guitar and light sorrowful vocals. The heartfelt track reminds us of how the artist is able to pull us into the throes of emotion, placing us in the dark image ‘in the dead of night’ as she pours out ‘I’m too young to die’. The magnetic evolution throughout the album has been praised by fans.

The EP closes on ‘Indigo’, a hopeful slow building dedication to love, finalising a beautifully crafted collection of songs.

The song premiered on March 5 as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record In The World, the track marks a shift in Rachel’s songwriting, capturing a sense of optimism and emotional freedom. While her critically acclaimed debut album, ‘What A Devastating Turn Of Events‘ (which recently entered UK Charts), delved into deeply personal and challenging themes, this new release embraces the excitement and joy of a flourishing romance.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the song, Rachel shares: “I usually write from a place of trauma, but since releasing my album, I’ve been in therapy consistently, and I fell in love. Isaac makes me feel protected in a way I never have before, especially by a man. That feeling was so new to me that I wanted to embrace it and write about how much I love him. No matter what happens, the fact that he’s the first and only person to make me feel this way is incredibly special. It’s bittersweet that it took this to truly love myself, but Isaac is my hero, and I hope this fairytale never ends.” With ‘Little House’ on the horizon, Rachel Chinouriri is stepping into a new era—one filled with love, growth, and newfound happiness.

Rachel Chinouriri has officially hit the road, serving as the main support act for Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet arena tour across the UK and Europe. Yesterday the show finally arrived in London, where Chinouriri opened for Carpenter at the iconic London O2 Arena, with a career marking performance filled with enthusiasm and powerful, moving speeches.

Following these performances, Rachel will embark on her debut U.S. headline tour in May and June, marking a major milestone in her career. The tour will see her playing her biggest venues yet, including LA’s Fonda Theatre and New York’s Webster Hall, before culminating in a standout appearance at Bonnaroo Music + Arts Festival. Due to overwhelming demand, several venues have been upgraded and additional dates have been added, with most shows now sold out.

Online, the singer has also been gaining popularity with the song ‘All I Ever Asked’. The track delves into the complexities of relationships, reflecting on the yearning for basic respect and understanding from a partner. In February 2025, Chinouriri collaborated with American singer-songwriter Sombr to release a new version of ‘All I Ever Asked’. Over social media, the singer has expressed her happiness about the milestone and encouraged fans to go listen to the song stating that she believes in it and in herself.

The artist has also recently embarked a UK Tour with American singer Sabrina Carpenter, which will be taking the two to London over the weekend to grace the London O2 Arena stage. The tour will also be stopping in Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow. Fans who already saw the artist’s opening performance in Dublin have been congratulating her and expressing their newly found love for her music.

The artist will be participating in Record Store Day this year with an exclusive release of her 2022 EP ‘Better off without‘ which includes the song ‘All I Ever Asked’.

It sounds like Chinouriri was happy with the result as well, saying that the song “came about quite spontaneously, which is sometimes how the best things come about. I really loved it when I first heard it and when I met the boys the lyrics and melody came to us so naturally.”

Of course, Chinouriri hasn’t been shy about her own material lately, planning her third EP to follow up 2021’s Four° In Winter. You can also hear her latest single “All I Ever Asked“ down below.

“End of the Road” comes about as The Snuts continue to work on their next LP, following their 2021 debut W.L.. However, the record’s a bit of a tall order to follow up with, considering it was the first debut from a Scottish band to debut at number 1 on the UK Albums Chart for over a decade; but hopefully they’ve got some tricks up their sleeve for when the next one comes out.
