Formed in Belfast, they have gained widespread attention for their provocative themes, often tackling issues like Irish identity, nationalism, and class struggles. One of Kneecap’s most well-known tracks is ‘C.E.A.R.T.A.’, which means ‘Rights’ in Irish. This song gained popularity due to its high-energy beat, politically charged lyrics, and bilingual delivery.PVRIS is known for their dark, atmospheric production, haunting vocals, and emotional lyrics. Their sound has transitioned from a heavier rock base to a more electronic-driven, synth-infused style, often drawing comparisons to bands like CHVRCHES, Paramore, and Halsey. For PVRIS, their breakthrough hit ‘My House’ remains their most iconic track. The song’s eerie and introspective themes about isolation and personal demons made it a fan favourite, cementing PVRIS as a rising force in the alternative rock world.Taking Back Sunday is an American rock/post-hardcore/emo band from Long Island, New York, formed in 1999. They are considered one of the defining bands of the early-2000s emo and alternative rock scene, known for their raw emotional lyrics, dynamic vocal exchanges, and anthemic choruses.Their biggest hit is undoubtedly ‘MakeDamnSure’. The song features passionate, almost desperate lyrics about obsession and destructive love, making it relatable for many fans.
It’s known for showcasing the best of the UK’s alternative music scene alongside well-established international acts. The 2000trees Festival gets its name from its founders’ commitment to environmental sustainability. When the festival was launched in 2007, the organisers aimed to create an event that not only celebrated music but also had a minimal environmental impact. As part of this ethos, they planted 2 000 trees in the early years of the festival to offset its carbon footprint.

PVRIS have postponed their upcoming UK and European tour shifting its starting point from later in April till next year in January. The nine-month delay is due to the band focusing on their next album. Frontwoman Lynn Gunn confirmed that the album is officially “in progress” in a statement shared today (April 5th) on their social media pages. The statement explains that the tour was “meant to be accompanied by a brand new PVRIS album”, but up to this point, she and her bandmates had been held back by “the unlimited amount of obstacles and setbacks brought on from the pandemic”.

The American multi-instrumentalist cited the label’s “lack of space, lack of time, lack of budget and conflict of priorities/interest regarding the PVRIS brand and community”, and said that as a result, it became “nearly impossible to have this album written, recorded, conceptualized, up to standard and ready for your consumption by the time of this tour”. She then went on to say PVRIS “is now free to move forward into this next chapter”, Gunn continued: “I never want to compromise the creative quality or integrity of our music and visuals. This is something that unfortunately had to be done too many times on this past album cycle (we gave it our best despite the circumstances). I refuse to do that moving forward. PVRIS deserves better and you deserve better, as you are the sole reason we get to do what we do.” You can view the full post and the band’s statement below.

Pvris released a new track “My Way”- which you can listen to below, a follow-up single to “Monster” which came out earlier this year. This is the first music since a triumphant third album Use Me (2020). The song comes with a high-energy video that truly punches the song into your memory. With a new burst of energy, it is with no doubt that the new era Pvris are going into is one to take note of.

After 2014’s White Noise, which reinvented what it means to be an alternative rock/indie band. Blending synth-pop with an indie vibe, Lynn Gunn stood tall and made her mark on the music industry. Especially with 2017’s All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell took Pvris to new heights on the festival circuit. With performances at Reading & Leeds, Download, and Slam Dunk festival where they have made a name for themselves as one to watch. Showing how far they have come since Acoustic (2014).

After two brilliant new songs reigning in the new era of Pvris, comes the announcement we have all been waiting for. A 13 date tour spanning across Europe has been announced, including three four stops across the UK. This will be Pvris’ first show in the UK in a long time, due to the restrictions from lockdown.
Lead singer Lynn Gunn spoke about the single, saying it’s “about being a people pleaser, holding other up and never asking for anything back. Quite often that can be taken advantage of and it can be hard to set ‘no’, set boundaries. This feels amplified, especially as a woman. This song is about stepping into my power as a woman, shedding old skin and taking nurturing, caretaker feminine nature and turning it into a super power.”

The music video for ‘Dead Weight’ also premiered yesterday, with Gunn driving a hearse with a mini disco ball on the rear-view mirror as she wears glitter and dances with other lost souls. It has already gained 54,000 views and was directed by YHELLOW, who also worked on 2019 singles ‘Old Wounds’ and ‘Hallucinations’.
