Pusha previously announced shows that will start on December 14^th in Manchester, travel to Birmingham on December 15^th and Bristol on December 18^th, before concluding on December 21^st in Dublin. A London performance at the O2 Academy Brixton has since been added on December 19. Tickets for the London performance go on sale on Monday, August 22, at 10 a.m. BST. Purchase tickets here.

It’s Almost Dry, Pusha T’s fourth studio album was released in April. Pusha told NME that it’s the “rap album of the motherfucking year,” and NME gave it a perfect five-star review. The review said: “The 44-year-old has proved time and time again that he’s your go-to for hip-hop classics – and his fourth studio album consolidates his status”. It continued: “Pusha T has managed to elevate his art to new heights, signalling that the artist is nowhere close to being done. Despite being longer than ‘Daytona’, there is succinct preciseness to ‘It’s Almost Dry’ with Pusha’s lyricism, in particular, never left wanting. Alongside the outstanding production, it makes for an instant hip-hop classic.”

Pusha T is a hip-hop artist and record company executive. He gained notoriety as one half of the hip hop group Clipse, which consisted of his older brother No Malice and was primarily active from 1994 until 2010. As Clipse, the two enjoyed smash singles like “Grindin” and “When the Last Time,” as well as three studio albums and several mixtapes. They also established the record company Re-Up Records and the clothing line Play Cloths.

Pusha T joined Def Jam Recordings in September 2010 and signed to Kanye West’s GOOD Music imprint. He appeared on Kanye West’s song “Runaway” later that year, which reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2013, he released My Name Is My Name, his first solo album. In November 2015, Kanye West named Pusha T to succeed him as president of GOOD Music.

The first day of All Points East included a lengthy lineup including Self Esteem, Pusha T, Idles, Turnstile and top billing act Gorillaz. The influential virtual band took the festival by storm with their impressive visual effects and undeniable stage presence. Alongside a series of beloved hits, the band’s setlist also included new material. Within their set, the Gorillaz debuted “New Gold”, their new collaboration with Tame Impala and Bootie Brown. Albarn, Gorillaz’s co-creater, spoke to the excited crowd about the new track, “It’s kind of a mad song, to be honest with you,”

Within the band’s now infamous set, they were joined by an array of special guests including Hip-hop pioneers De La Soul, Shaun Ryder, Popcaan, Rowetta and The Clash member Paul Simonon. When Albarn welcomed Simonon on stage he introduced the musician as his “Very Old Friend”, Albarn then stated that this was the first time since 2010 that the two artists had shared s stage. Simonon then performed “Plastic Beach” with the Gorillaz, the band closed their busy and eventful set with two of their biggest hits “Feel Good Inc.” and “Clint Eastwood”.

Before the Gorillaz commenced their headlining slot, Bristol rockers Idles took to The West stage. Upon addressing the roaring crowd frontman Joe Talbot said, “We were waiting a long time to come back, and we are f***ing grateful that you are here to look after and carry us in your beautiful arms, Thank you, All Points East.” During their set, the band played a varied mix of tracks including the 2018 single “Never Fight A Man With A Perm”.

Once the band and crowd were in full swing Talbot again spoke to the audience and urged,  “Open that pit right up. Open it. Open it…now spin,”. The set’s penultimate song was “Danny Nedelko”, since its 2018 release the song has been adopted as an anthem for the migrant issues in Europe. Before the band launched into the track, Talbot shared a message of hope, “This is a song about the best thing that happened to our country: the immigrants that built and made this a better f***ing place.”

Elsewhere within the festival, American rapper Pusha T took to The East Stage to perform an incredibly well-received set. While performing, the 45-year-old artist spoke to the cheering crowd, “How many of y’all got the It’s Almost Dry album? There’s a few of us here. Rap album of the muthaf***in’ year. Easy. Easy,” The rapper then began to perform his 2022 single “Diet Coke”, Pusha T’s set also included “Hear Me Clearly” and “If You Know You Know”. Before launching into “Neck & Wrist”, the rapper extended an invitation to those in attendance, “December 19th. Brixton. Y’all meet me there.”

Today marks the completion of the festival’s second day, billed to perform at APE presents Field Day included a DJ set from Jessy Lanza, Daniel Avery, Carl Craig B2B Moodyman. Scheduled to headline today’s event were dance pioneers The Chemical Brothers and Kraftwerk 3D. The festival will return on Thursday 25th August 2022 with headlining act Tame Impala, Friday 26th August 2022 with headliners Fleet Foxes, Mogwai and The National, and Saturday 27th August 2022 with James Blake, Charli XCX, H.E.R. and Discoloure as the headliners. The festival’s final day is set to take place on Sunday 28th August 2022 and features Michael Kiwanuka, The Smile and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds as the top billing acts.

A future location for the Warehouse project is yet to be announced, but fans will be hugely excited by the epic, 12 week programme that has been announced today. You can buy tickets for all dates here, when tickets go on sale at 9am on July 27. The full list of performers can be seen below.

The most high-profile performers include the likes of Four Tet, Deadmau5, Underworld, and Pusha T. there will also be closing parties on both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day- titled End of Store Street, with full details of the location’s last hurrah yet to be announced.

Drake responded in typically prompt fashion with ‘Duppy Freestyle’, well-versed in beef following his 2015/16 feud with Meek Mill, and many thought that this was the perfect response to Pusha’s issues with Drake.

However, after a few days of silence, Pusha returned with his own response track ‘The Story of Adidon’. Over the beat of Jay-Z’s ‘The Story of OJ’, accompanied by an old photo showing Drake in blackface, Pusha crushed Drake, suggesting amongst many things that Drake has a secret family that he has kept from the media for years, as well as shots fired at Drake’s father, and his lack of credibility to many of hip-hop’s higher ups.

Both Drake and Pusha have been on radio silence since, until Pusha was questioned by Vanity Fair. When asked by the publication what the world is supposed to learned from this affair, which saw Pusha’s longtime collaboator Kanye West and Drake’s mentor dragged J. Prince into things, Pusha responded “I don’t even know. I don’t know what was lost or what was gained.”

Push continued to say that he considered the beef now to be squashed, elaborating “These conversations have been had and, to my knowledge, it’s all over […[ It’s all over with… I’m ready to be back to the music for real. Just feeding my base, that’s it. That’s the most important thing to me at all times.”

Pusha also spoke on that photo of Drake, and how he came to obtain it. “People really love me, man,” Pusha said. “People love me and people are disloyal as fuck. People are so disloyal, man, it’s so weird.”

J.Prince recently did a round of press in the US, telling multiple sources that Drake had been ready to respond to ‘Adidon’, but was advised against it, with Prince claiming that the unreleased track contained lyrics that could have been “Career-ending” for Kanye West.
