29-year-old singer songwriter and frontman of band The Vamps, Bradley Simpson recently opened up about the future of the band, reassuring fans by stating they will get back together.

The ‘Somebody To You’ singer told The Daily Star Column: “James McVey is working on a solo project, Connor Ball is writing a lot, and Tristan Evans has just announced the pregnancy with partner Nikki. There’s a lot of life going on. We’re not putting any pressure on it. It’ll just happen with it happens. I think that’s the best way… Naturally at some point we’ll get back together, end up writing, and if we like it we’ll carry on. We all know it’s always going to be there. Every step of the way it’s always been, we’re friends before bandmates. We have a very special bond… We’re family at this point. I know a lot of other bands who started at a similar time that aren’t as close as we are, and the friendships have just faded away.”

The Vamps formed back in 2012 and quickly became very popular all around the world, collaborating with artists such as Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes and more. The band took a break back in 2020 with guitarist James McVey stating: “It was getting to a point where it was turning into a conveyer belt. We loved what we were doing but it was about making sure that we weren’t going to burnout. We needed to live a little bit. Last year we had a moment where we wanted to take some time apart just to see what would happen and we naturally gravitated back together, which was nice as I imagine a lot of bands after nine years of touring probably don’t ever come back.”

The band celebrated with an anniversary tour in September 2024 in order to mark their 10th anniversary on tour, having released single ‘Seat At The Table’ over two years ago.

The English band hasn’t released an album since their 2020 release ‘Cherry Blossom’, but the frontman, now embarking on a solo career, has insisted the group haven’t called it quits as he even wrote a song called ‘The Band’s Not Breaking Up’ on his debut solo record ‘The Panic Years’.

The hit 1980s band Duran Duran recently announced that they are re-issuing their first five albums: Duran Duran, Rio, Seven and the Ragged Tiger, Notorious, and Big Thing. These albums haven’t been printed for many years, and these new issues will allow fans to buy a new copy, alongside gaining access to new and improved, remastered songs.

The band are staying true to their identity, with Malcolm Garrett, the original album artist of the first three albums, designing the renewed albums.

These five albums were the setting stone for the band for the rest of their career, which has not shown any signs of slowing down, with Seven and the Ragged Tiger, only their second album, reaching number 1 album in the UK. With the albums winning them more than twenty songs in the Top 10 charts internationally, they were at the forefront of the new wave genre and the introduction of British pop and synth rock, and defined the music scene of the 80s, which is still loved to this day.

The Birmingham-born band are having the new vinyl’s cut at the iconic Abbey Road Studios, showcasing how successful this band has been. Additionally, the fantastic new re-issue’s will be available on 1LP and 1CD format for the first time since their initial release over thirty years ago.

Excited fans have taken to social media since the announcement, stirring even more anticipation for their headline shows this summer including: Latitude, Release Athens and shows across North America.

Fans can expect the re-issues on 5th July, and can pre-order the albums via Warner Music, here.

Don Broco’s latest album, 2022’s Amazing Things, landed the band their first ever UK number one after facing delays due to the Covid pandemic. The distinction boosted the group’s stature within the rock scene, seeing them make the step up to headlining shows in arenas. And the band have since been capitalising on the album’s success, releasing the single “Fingernails” in April of 2022 and bringing their riveting live show to North America, Europe and Australia.
Formed in Bedford in 2008, Don Broco can trace its origins to when the members were in secondary school, playing sporadic gigs before officially forming as a band while the members were at Nottingham University. Unlike many of their contemporaries, Don Broco began by touring extensively between 2008-2010, appearing at various festivals and supporting Enter Shikari during their Christmas party shows.

After releasing the successful EP, Big Fat Smile in 2011, the band underwent a few lineup changes before signing with Search And Destroy Records where they recorded and released their debut album, Priorities. Their first headlining tour of the UK soon followed and Don Broco have been maintaining their high standards ever since, releasing three more albums to date to critical acclaim and becoming one of the rock scene’s most sought after acts.

Alanis Morissette has postponed her previously rescheduled UK and European tour, which was set to celebrate 25 years of her seminal album Jagged Little Pill.

The shows were originally planned to take place in Autumn 2020, but were moved to October 2021. After that they were then moved to November because of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, yet again Morissette has been unable to go ahead with the tour. She has now announced that the gigs have again been postponed due to COVID travel restrictions. The new dates are also not yet confirmed.

The American singer/somgwriter posted on her social media accounts “Europe & UK missing you so much, traveling overseas from country to country is becoming increasingly challenging with three kids during a time like no other on this beautiful planet.”

She then added in a Twitter thread “I know things will shift – but for this moment – i am heartbroken to say that we have to postpone the upcoming UK and Europe shows in october & november 2021.” She continued “Stay tuned for the rescheduled dates (coming very soon), and please hold onto your tickets as they will be valid for the new ones. i can’t wait to see you each as soon as we possibly can.”

Morissette shares her children with hip hop star Souleye (Mario Treadway) and was set to visit Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, London and Dublin on her tour. She was also due to play a number of European cities.

The Australian and New Zealand parts of the Jagged Little Pill shows were also previously rescheduled and will now take place next year in November 2022.

Morissette had Liz Phair scheduled as her support on the tour alongside Garbage. However Phair pulled out of the ‘Jagged Little Pill’ celebration due to “unforeseen circumstances”; and was replaced by Cat Power.

Phair wrote on her social media “Sadly, due to unforeseen circumstances, I won’t be able to join Alanis & Garbage on tour this summer,” Phair wrote on social media. “I’m incredibly disappointed as I was looking forward to seeing all of your beautiful faces.”

She then continued “Shoutout to Alanis, Garbage, and Cat Power, who I know will put on an incredible show. Hope to see you all soon.”

The news of the tours postponement comes just days after Alanis performed at the Hollywood Bowl in California this week.

Bea Kristi, known professionally as Beabadoobee, released a new single and accompanying music video for track Together on BBCRadio1 today, October 13th at 6pm. Together was the fourth released single off her upcoming 2020 album Fake it Flowers.

The British-Filipino artist’s latest single follows suit with the other released tracks off of the upcoming debut album, Care, Worth it, Sorry and How Was Your Day?, as an ode to 90’s alt-rock music with a taste for basement vibes. Her video release today for Together features the lead singer with spiked 90’s hair and her style has a punk-rock aesthetic that pays homage to early Avril Lavigne. This portrays a new alt-rock-pop-persona that is growing in popularity because of young artists like Beaboadoobee transitioning into the genre.

Baebadoobee is uniquely talented at merging genres, namely alternative rock and pop, with a certain flare that keeps her music fresh and specifically youthful. Her moody distorted vocals and the classic rock guitar riffs are married to lyrics that millennials are particularly drawn to.

In keeping with younger audiences, Baebadoobee first gained popularity through YouTube videos and releases before signing with Dirty Hit Records where she went on to release the EP Coffee that catapulted her into the cult-following she now has. Coffee was described as a bedroom hit because of the stripped back and intimate nature of the recording’s final cut.

However, the brand new single Together is more of a production heavy hit. The single features a heavy drum and electric guitar that would make this a loud break-out single against her more acoustic pop hit Coffee. Baebadoobee has been transitioning into alt-rock forms of pop since 2019 when she released the hit single She Plays Bass which was the beginning of the introduction of alternative rock vibes into her music. She Plays Bass continues to trend as the hottest record on BBCRadio1 even tonight.

The Welsh melodic rockers have unveiled a new video for Peace, taken from upcoming album of the same name, due for release at the end of this month.

Peace is very much a classic Kids In Glass Houses track. Big poppy melodies, a dashing of post-hardcore before building up to a massive climax that would leave Ron Jeremy jealous. The video follows the story of a group of three people, two lads one lass. One’s romantically involved with the girl, while the other yearns to be. I think you can guess where this is going, but it all finishes a little bit heated.

It is the second single to be taken from Peace, following the release of Drive in June. Judging by the tracks that we’ve already heard, it can’t be too long before Kids In Glass Houses become the titans of Welsh rock, a fiercely competitive title.

Kids In Glass Houses go on a mammoth tour in support of Peace, which is released September 30th, this September and October. Dates are below.

Saturday 28th – Asylum, Birmingham

Sunday 29th – Peel, Kingston

October

Tuesday 1st – Concorde 2, Brighton

Wednesday 2nd – Electric Ballroom, London

Thursday 3rd – Great Hall, Cardiff

Friday 4th – Academy 2, Manchester
