The 22 year old uses the song as a means to make sense of the ‘break-up-make-up chaos’ attributed to modern dating. Support at the event comes from singer Jas Ratchford and singer/producer Josh Wantie. The latest single can be heard through Brook’s Soundcloud account and Spotify.

Brooks talked about the song, saying, “You can get super addicted to the intimacy and familiarity of having someone – or anyone really, and like almost anyone I feel terrified of the idea of being alone, but that’s just so unhealthy”. 

The 22 year old has been making a steady breakthrough within the live scene, touring with acts including EUT and Tiny Ruins. Critics have hailed him as “nostalgic and emotionally charged” and cited him as a “dreamy mélange of spacey guitar lines and airy melodies”. 

His earlier tracks include ‘can’t fix the things i left behind’, ‘i don’t know if i ever wanna go back home’, ‘Heatwave’, and ‘Honey Let’s Just Drive’. The video has been shot entirely in a room focusing on Philip as he picks petals from a flower throughout the song.
