“Your comments, posts, and tributes have brought me more comfort than you know. None of it has gone unnoticed, in fact, it’s carried me through many nights.”

The comment section of the post is brimming with over 10 thousand messages of support and sorrow, an astounding demonstration of the scope of the Osbourne’s appreciation and respect.

Sharon was seen publicly in July as fans flooded to the streets of Birmingham and swarmed the Black Sabbath Bridge to show their solidarity and compassion at Ozzy’s funeral procession.

The instagram post included a video of Sharon partaking in falconry, a bond from human to another, which she says knows all too well.

Sharon continued: “Though I’m still finding my footing, I wanted to share some glorious creatures I had the chance to spend an afternoon with.”

Sharon continued by saying: “The connection you make with these powerful birds is built entirely on trust and confidence. They’ll choose to perch on you only if they sense you are safe and unafraid of them. It’s a bond I know all too well, and the experience was nothing short of magical.”

Their daughter Kelly recently shared an instagram story praising falconry for helping her deal with her grief.  “In all my sadness & grief I have found something that truly makes me happy! I never thought I would find my smile again through falconry but I did. I absolutely love being with the birds!” Said the 40 year old. 

Kelly said that her mum loved it, and that it “put a smile on her face”

The former X Factor judge concluded her caption with a heartfelt thank you to her fans:  “I love you all, and I thank you deeply for the otherworldly amount of love you continue to send my way.”

They will appear at Comic Con Midlands, in Birmingham, from 12-13 July, just days after Black Sabbath’s farewell show ‘Back To The Beginning’, which takes place on 5 July at Villa Park Stadium. He cites health issues as his reason for retirement, and has undertaken training in preparation for the show, telling his radio show Ozzy Speaks that he’s “giving 120 percent”.

What Ozzy, his wife and manager Sharon, and their children Jack and Kelly Osbourne will actually be doing at Comic Con remains a mystery, and tickets to see them have not yet gone live on the Comic Con Midlands website. So far, all fans have to go by is a statement from Comic Con Midlands, which reads: “With Ozzy Osbourne’s legendary music career, Sharon’s powerhouse presence in entertainment, and Kelly and Jack’s unforgettable personalities, The Osbournes have cemented their place in pop culture history.”

Amongst the excitement, many are doubtful over how affordable it will be to see the family. One comment on Instagram reads: “Surely to meet them it’s like £1000.”

Another jokes: “Will there be a deposit scheme for The Osbournes?”

A reply to that comment reads: “Try a mortgage.”

These responses come after Comic Con Midlands issued an update, informing anxious fans: “Just a reminder there will be a post in advance when The Osbournes tickets will go on sale, we have not forgotten and will update you all as soon as possible.”

The family has quite a reputation for expensive fees. In the 2024 series of Celebrity Big Brother, Sharon Osbourne’s fee was reportedly too high for ITV bosses to accommodate, so her stay in the house was shortened to nine days. However, fans are still eager to see the Osbournes, especially so close after Ozzy’s final show, despite what the price may amount to. One comment on Instagram reads: “I would sell my kidney to meet Ozzy.”

While it’s still unclear what the Osbournes’ appearance will specifically entail, the family will still be available to take pictures and sign autographs, as a description of the event reads: “We’re all a fan of something, and Comic Con Midlands is the best place to celebrate all things pop culture. As well as having the chance to meet your heroes, get an item signed or a photo, many guests will also appear live onstage so you’ll get to hear directly about their new projects and previous roles.”

Speaking on the podcast, Sharon told daughter Kelly and Jack, “I’ve been busy trying to get together daddy’s memorabilia for the memorabilia place that we’re opening in Birmingham….he’s having all of his awards [in the museum], all his stage clothes, posters, old posters from [early incarnation of Sabbath] Earth days. I’ve got so much memorabilia. We’re gonna do it totally interactive – every video, every live show of your dad’s, everything there.”It’s more of an educational thing for musicians and artists that wanna see that you can come from nothing, and if you work hard enough this is what you can get.

Sharon further elaborated her vision for the museum, adding, “We’re going to have a café, and in there we’re going to have every instrument you can think of. Music students can come in and we’re gonna do music classes, because there’s no music at schools anymore. We’re gonna get friends, other musicians to come in.”

Birmingham, the origin city of Black Sabbath and, some would argue, the birthplace of heavy metal, has been keen to recognise Ozzy and Black Sabbath in recent months with the honour of naming the giant robotic bull from the 2022 edition of the Commonwealth Games being bestowed upon the artist. Guitarist Tony Iommi also made a surprise appearance at The Hippodrome Theatre two weeks ago to inaugurate the city’s premier of Black Sabbath-The Ballet.

Black Sabbath were formed over 50 years ago in Britain’s second largest city in 1968. With their three back to back releases of  Black Sabbath, Paranoid and Master Of Reality in the early 70s, the band were pioneers of what would become the metal sound and scene and have cemented their place in the annals of its history with their occult imagery and grungy, doom sound.

Currently, there are no further details of an Ozzy museum, however updates are sure to follow in due course.
