Green Day have announced that they will be coming back to British and European shores next year with their upcoming ‘Saviors‘ tour. The tour will support the release of their latest album, Saviors, due to be released on 19 January via Reprise Records, and will be followed by a series of shows in their American homeland.

The ‘Saviors‘ tour is set to kick off in Monto Do Gozo, Spain at the O Son Do Camiño festival on 3o May 2024, and will conclude with a huge show at Wembley Stadium, London on 29 June. The tour will see Green Day visit Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Ireland while the British cities of Manchester, London, Glasgow and even the Isle of Wight will also play host to the American pop-punk legends.

The announcement comes only days after the band had teased the possibility of a tour on their webstore, in the form of a banner telling fans to, “Pre-order ‘Saviors’ here for presale access to UK and European 2024 tour dates”. Joining Green Day on their travels are a number of bands that will act as support at different venues, including Nothing But Thieves, The Hives, Donots, The interrupters, and Maid Of Ace. British fans attending shows at any of the British venues can expect a mega headline show from Green Day, of course, along with performances from Nothing But Thieves and Maid Of Ace.

Saviors is the band’s 14th studio album and will no doubt contain material that will be showcased at the various shows, as will Green Day classics like Basket Case, American Idiot and Welcome To Paradise. A taste of what to come has been offered in the past days, with the band releasing the singles “The American Dream Is Killing Me” on 24 October and “Look Ma, No Brains!” yesterday.

The famous baritone singer has worked with the Essex rockers on his new collaboration. Known for their second studio album Broken Machine, the group have lent their unique rock sound to Rag’nBone Man’s single. Consisting of members Conor Mason on lead vocals and guitar, Joe Langridge-Brown on backing vocals and guitar, Dominic Craik on guitar, keys and backing vocals, Philip Blake on bass and James Price on percussion the band have achieved critical and commercial acclaim since their formation in 2012.

The newly remixed single starts with the original release’s mellow melodic guitar licks but bring more of an electric appeal to the beginning verse. Accompanied by the artist’s classic strong vocals, the “Alone” remix also features the stirring backing vocals heard in the original. Much like the original single the remix firmly cements the song’s lyrical themes by a strong musical presence and is accompanied by a meaningful music video featuring overlapping black and white photos of the performers.

Born as Rory Charles Graham, Rag’n’Bone man had this to say concerning his new collaboration. Within his statement, the singer expresses his process with previous remixes and states how he knew he wanted to work with Nothing But Thieves. “Most singles I’ve released so far come with remixes and sometimes it’s a bit difficult to imagine what it’s going to be like – especially if it’s dance or drum and bass. With ‘Alone’, I felt like that wasn’t going to be possible and I had to think outside the box. I remember seeing Nothing But Thieves at some festivals previously and thinking how amazing they were – I love their sound. I think they’ve done a really interesting version of this song and it’s a real honour to have them on the track.”

The 36-year-old artist first achieved success with his single “Human”, the track was released on 21st July 2016 and was taken from his debut album entitled Human. The singer’s debut album was released on 10th February 2017 and sired the artist in both commercial and critical success. Debuting at number one within the UK album charts, the album would become the fasted selling debut album within the 2010s for a male artist. Graham received multiple accolades for his first studio album, including two Brit Awards in 2017 for Critics Choice Award and British Breakthrough Act.

Rag’n’bone’s original version of “Alone’ was released as the third single from the artist’s second studio album Life by Misadventure. Much like his debut studio album, Life by Misadventure debuted at number one within the UK Album Charts. The album also features the singer’s collaboration with American artist Pink, the track entitled “Anywhere Away from Here” was released as the album’s second single on 9th April 2021 via Sony Music. The track was released as a charity single alongside the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Choir, profits made from the sale of the record were given to the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and the encompassing NHS charities.

Nothing But Thieves recently shared a new track titled ‘Miracle, Baby’, which was also accompanied by a lyric video. On this follow-up to the band’s, recent single ‘Futureproof’ fans can hear the group experimenting with elements of soul and funk over prog-rock undertones. This is what the band had to say on the track.

“Miracle, Baby was written directly after Futureproof. After experimenting with hip hop/RnB influences on that song, it really helped inform a direction for us to follow – we tried to pull vocal inspiration from soul and funk and musical inspiration from almost a prog-rock background. The lyrics are light-hearted in a way which felt refreshing to include in the Moral Panic world. We wanted to create a narrative – they’re actually very nearly a joke, but the end seems to turn them round somehow and makes the whole thing more punchy.”

Along with the new track the Southend-on-Sea group also announced their latest EP, ‘Moral Panic II’ which will feature 5 brand new tracks. This new release will focus on reflection tinged with anger, emotion, and hope, whilst passionately discussing many of the important issues we face in modern society today. The EP will include their recent single ‘Futureproof’ and ‘Miracle, Baby’ and it will be released on July 23 via Sony Music UK/RCA Records.

The record serves as a companion release to the Essex band’s third album, ‘Moral Panic’, which was released last year via RCA/Sony. When asked about the new EP the band stated that “Moral Panic II was something we decided to do only after Part I was all mixed, mastered and the records pressed. It didn’t feel like we were done with the Moral Panic theme – I think partly because we hadn’t been able to tour the project yet, it didn’t feel right to move on. But we also had the luxury of time to assess the album and explore some avenues we felt the album may have missed.”

They went on to say “In that way, it was important that Moral Panic II comprised of completely fresh, newly written songs rather than songs that just didn’t wind up making the album, like how a traditional deluxe version would function. There’s a familiarity, but we also really honed in on a new side of the band. Part II rounds Part I out – really, the two parts should be enjoyed as one project.”

Nothing But Thieves are also set to embark on a UK and Ireland arena tour later this year. You can see the list of the dates below.

The Essex alternative rock outfit had three songs to chose from – ‘Impossible‘, ‘Real Love Song‘ and ‘Is Everybody Going Crazy?‘ all taken off their critically acclaimed third album Moral Panic released on 23 October via Sony Music.

The public had to chose between a long list of all the tracks, featured on Radio X’ Record Of The Week, selecting their individual Top 10 for the year. The final positions saw the intimate balad ‘Impossible‘ claim the top spot as the best song of 2020, closely followed by ‘Real Love Song‘ at second place and Royal Blood’s upbeat single ‘Trouble’s Coming‘ at third. Celebrating yet another huge success from last year, Nothing But Thieves thanked everyone who voted with the message: “Absolutely mind blowing […] having 3 songs in the top 10 is a great way to end an awful year, you legends“.

‘Impossible‘ first premiered back in September as the final promotional single before the official release of Moral Panic a month later, and shortly after had an atmospheric orchestral rendition recorded at Abbey Road Studios. Radio X shared the simple but accurate description of the track: “Ballads don’t get much more anthemic than Impossible, the track that silenced critics of the Southend band“. Speaking with the radio team, singer Conor Mason recalled the writing process: “In a way we’d written a lot of thematically-dense stuff and I remember thinking it’d be great to have a simpler song with a big chorus, a melody that was easy to sing back“.

At the second spot of the year-end popular vote, ‘Real Love Song‘ was shared on 23 June alongside the official announcement of the upcoming third record, and also saw an orchestral make-over by the Bucharest Symphonic Orchestra during the Summer Well Festival. ‘Is Everybody Going Crazy?‘ was the first single by Nothing But Thieves in 2020, premiering back in March and reaching almost 20 million streams on Spotify since. The track ended at the sixth spot at the Radio X’s annual overview.

Nothing But Thieves have uploaded exclusive footage of their cover of Radiohead’s well known 1995 track ‘Just,’ a tune which, alone with ‘Creep,’ in many ways defined the band’s distinctive sound when they emerged in the 90s and which has mutated and developed in various ways since then. While the operatic style of Nothing But Thieves’ lead singer Conor Mason is unnervingly clear when delivering Thom York’s dark lyrics which are usually masked by a obscured and idiosyncratic singing style, this does certainly shed some light on where the band have got their inspiration from in their own career, especially on the instrumental side of things.

There are of course many differences between the work of the two bands and Nothing But Thieves’ cover of a classic Radiohead number does seem a little misplaced amongst some of their more emphatic, rock driven titles such as ‘Amsterdam,’ but the energy that the band deliver into their music and their instruments, while the outcomes are often vastly different, are the same. Whereas Thom York and the rest of Radiohead speaks for the deeply introverted corners of rock where quiet boys with floppy fringes come onstage to wreak havoc on their instruments, Nothing But Thieves have a slightly more outgoing, but similarly explosive demeanour.

The footage for this cover was taken from Nothing But Thieves’ Live at the Warehouse live stream where ‘In Oct, Nothing But Thieves performed 3 unique sets live, in-the-round, featuring songs from their new album Moral Panic, rare songs, covers, old favourites, and songs reimagined.’ This series of three sets is now available to buy for on-demand viewing here for £8 each of £17 for all three and purchase will allow fans to watch the shows as many times as they like between the 21st of December and the 4th of January.

The shows, which originally streamed all around the world to audiences in the Oceana and Asian continents, Europe and Africa, as well as North and South America, will offer fans an insight into the influences that have made the band who they are today, as well as an opportunity to see songs from their latest album ‘Moral Panic,’ performed live for the first time. With touring an impossibility for any UK bands this year, Nothing But Thieves faced the same problem that many other British bands faced this year, and album release in October but no way to tour to support it.

Fortunately, like many other British artists this year including Yungblud, Dua Lipa and Glass Animals, they managed to take the initiative required to offer their fans something of their live selves without being able to actually go on tour in physical reality. This meant that 2020 was the year of live streamed gigs for music fans in Britain and all around the world who had their appetite for their favourite artists live in concert at least partially satisfied by the many, many live streamed alternatives which were painstakingly developed and delivered by artists and their teams.

Nothing But Thieves are set to go on tour in October 2021, full UK dates are as follows:

2/10/2021 – Ulster Hall – Belfast
6/10 – Pavilions – Plymouth
7/10 – Motorpoint Arena – Cardiff

The Teenage Cancer Trust was established back in 1990 to support and improve the lives of all young people suffering from cancer. Alongside all admirable projects and initiatives, the charity is also famous for working closely with music artists and events and as stated in their official website “not only is music a massive part of teenagers’ lives, it’s at the heart of Teenage Cancer Trust“. The charity has launched the Unseen YouTube channel streaming exclusive performances by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Muse, Rudimental, Pulp, and many more.

Moreover, the Teenage Cancer Trust also hosts annual concerts at the iconic Royal Albert Hall as the “pinnacle of [a] long-established music heritage“. Organised and championed by the charity’s patron Robert Daltrey CBE, founder and singer for the legendary The Who, previous events have seen memorable concerts by Paul McCartney, Oasis, Kasabian, The Cure, and many more. Back in 2016, Bring Me The Horizon also participated and delivered a spectacular show in support of the charity, and the official recording has just been added to all streaming platforms yesterday.

After months of teasers, announcements and single releases, Nothing But Thieves have finally premiered their highly anticipated third studio album Moral Panic today via Sony Music UK. The record is available on standard CD, LP and limited edition picture disc and oldschool casette on their official store, alongside digital download and all popular streaming platforms. Moral Panic contains 11 tracks in total, featuring all of the five singles that have been released so far this year – ‘Is Everybody Going Crazy?‘, ‘Real Love Song‘, ‘Unperson‘, ‘Impossible‘ and ‘Phobia‘.

Upon the release of the album, Nothing But Thieves posted an official message stating how happy they were to finally let the album out in the world, and highlighting the subtle political themes touched upon in the record. The band added: “Moral Panic hinges on what effect the pressures of the modern world and the information age have on us. It’s about people. It’s about you. This one has been cathartic to make. We hope it’s cathartic to listen to.”

The Southend alternative rock five-piece have had a particularly busy year so far with their callendar filled with single releases, music videos, acoustic collaborations and tour announcement that paved the way to today’s release. The clever marketing campaign started back in March with the premiere of the first official single ‘Is Everybody Going Crazy?‘ that set a really high expectation just as the world was going in lockdown, and has already passed 14 million listens on Spotify alone. The second track ‘Real Love Song‘ came out at the end of June along with the official album release date, followed by the electric ‘Unperson‘ that saw the band really turning the heat up in August.

Since then, Nothing But Thieves manage to sneak in another two official premiers of the more mellow singles ‘Impossible‘ and ‘Phobia‘ and even record a unique orchestral version of the former track, recorded live at the prestigious Abbey Road Studios in London. All of this might seem like revealing too much of the album and leaving very little for its actual release day but listening to the full record in its entirety paints a completely different picture and delivers a dreamy yet sobering experience that should not be missed or taken lightly.

The beauty of Moral Panic lies within balancing the opposites, going between the familiar Nothing But Thieves sound we have been in love with for the last five years shown in ‘This Feels Like The End‘ and their fresh experimental approach to some of the tracks like the summery ‘There Was Sun‘. The record floats between the fast energetic alternative rock of ‘Unperson‘ and the mellow soulful ballads ‘Before We Drift Away‘ and ‘Impossible‘, it switches between the album’s riotous political charge and its equally strong romantic melodies, and between light daydreaming motiffs and the lyrically heavy angry tirades such as ‘Can You Afford To Be An Individual?‘.

Nothing But Thieves have successfuly generated enough hype to make Moral Panic one of the highlights of the week, and rightfully so. The band celebrated the release with a global online listening party on their Twitter channel with hundreds of fans playing the album together and joining for a Q&A session with the band. With their previous album Broken Machine (2017) Nothing But Thieves reached #2 in the UK Albums Chart and it is looking like its successor might finally give them the well deserved and long overdue commercial peak.

Nothing But Thieves have shared a beautiful orchestral version of their song ‘Impossible‘, recorded live at the iconic Abbey Road Studio in London. The official single came out on 14 September as the latest release prior to their upcoming album Moral Panic due out on 23 October 2020 via Sony Music. Previously this year the Southend alternative rock quintet dropped three other tracks ‘Is Anybody Going Crazy‘, ‘Real Love Song‘ and ‘Unperson‘ to promote their highly anticipated third record.

The live orchestral re-work was accompanied by official music video that premiered on Friday. The project is exclusively supported by Amazon Music UK and released as a standalone single part of the Amazon Original series, available to purchase here.

‘Impossible‘ premiered two weeks ago on Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in The World on BBC Radio 1 and was described on the band’s official social media channels as the “antithesis of what’s on the album, of the anxiety and confusion that’s going on on this planet“. A gentle and intimate acoustic track, it immediately stood out from the rest of the more upbeat rock-infused 2020 singles with its slower pace and quiet interludes.

The brand new orchestral version adds depth and complexity to the single and takes it to a whole new level that perfectly complements the lyrics and melodies of the original. The track features orchestral pieces for string and brass, alongside Nothing But Theives’ live performance. Credits for the arrangement go to orchestrator and string arranger Rosie Danvers of Wired Strings, while production, mixing and sound engineering is masterfuly handled by Jonathan Gilmore and Mike Crossey.

Recently Nothing But Thieves also collaborated with the Bucharest Symphonic Orchestra for a grand live rendition of ‘Real Love Song‘, performed for the first time at the Summer Well Festival in Romania. The bautiful orchestral piece was then recorded and remastered for another official standalone single which now stands proudly alongside the new ‘Impossible‘ re-work as a whole new series of projects that add a beautiful new side to the band’s music and scope, and and interesting partnership expected to blossom even more with future releases.

Abbey Road Studios was first established in 1931 by the Gramophone Company as a recording studio that famously hosted The Beatles among many others iconic artists from. It was renamed in 1970 in honour of the iconic album Abbey Road from 1970 whose emblematic artwork photograph was taken just outside the building. Nothing But Thieves shared thay had plans to do the orchestral version of ‘Impossible‘ from the moment they wrote the song, but doing it at Abbey Road of all places was “a dream realised“.

Nothing But Thieves revealed the full tracklist for their upcoming third studio album Moral Panic. The record is due for release on 23 October 2020 via Sony Music UK on standard CD, LP, digital download and streaming. Exclusive Amazon picture disk vinyl and limited edition yellow casettes are still available to pre-order online.

Social media posts from Friday displayed the full hand-written tracklist and confirmed the titles of the eleven tracks to feature on Moral Panic. The album will open with their latest explosive release ‘Unperson‘ followed by the first official single ‘Is Everybody Going Crazy?‘. Nothing But Thieves have repeatedly described their upcoming album on previous posts as being “about the tension in the air” and the tracklist immediately draws attention to the themes of fear, dillusion, loss of freedom and mass panic with song names like ‘Phobia‘, ‘This Feels Like The End‘, ‘Impossible‘ and title track ‘Moral Panic‘.

So far the Southend alternative rock quintet have released three official singles from the highly anticipated new record, all accompanied by music videos. Earlier in March this year their dropped the first song ‘Is Everybody Going Crazy?‘ which has already reached more than twelve million streams on Spotify. It was followed by the more mellow and melancholic ‘Real Love Song‘ from June, and most recently the energetic and dystopian ‘Unperson‘ which raised the expectations even higher.

During the Summer Well Festival in Romania in August, the Bucharest Symphonic Orchestra performed a beautiful live orchestral rendition of ‘Real Love Song‘ as part of the ‘Our Night Picnic’ symphonic project. Nothing But Thieves have since released the unique collaboration as a separate alternative single and will likely feature it on the official digital version of Moral Panic.

Alongside the three official singles and music videos, the band also dropped a cryptic 30-seconds teaser, potentially of title track ‘Moral Panic‘ but not yet confirmed. The snippet features frontman Conor Mason singing the haunting “What we’ve become” over an emergency broadcast narrating a chaotic news coverage: “There’s a tension in the air / Everyone can feel it / 7 reported dead in the street / It permeates everything / It’s in our homes / Our chlorinated chicken / 7 million reported dead / Please stare at whatever clickbait debate next goes viral / Plastic opinions and drive thru funerals / Everything has a price / And then you“. With recent tracklist reveal and all releases, it seems Nothing But Thieves have a very strong message for everyone, coming on 23 October.
