Raye has brought some sunshine to these dark November days, with her brand new single, Love of Your Life. Love of Your Life premiered last night (October 6th) and has a prime position on Spotify’s esteemed ‘New Music Friday UK’ playlist.

This latest offering follows Raye teaming up with Kosovar DJ Regard for their dance hit, Secrets. Secrets came out on August 24th and peaked at Number 6 of the Official UK Chart in its first week. Secrets has since become widely popular amongst some of Europe’s best DJs, and has been remixed by the likes of MOTi, HUGEL, Tom Field Consoul Trainin.

Love of Your Life is a vibrant dance track. The song opens with some simplistic chords via an ethereal organ, that build slowly but surely. Raye tells a story about the whirlwind of emotions that ensue when you fall for someone: “I can be intense, I can be a little obsessed/But I can bet you never think a nightmare/Will ever look better in a dress.”

The track then switches to a funky break down beat, and Rayes’ mighty vocals sour. She sings about her own resistibility “I could make you confused/I could give you something to lose/Imma wake you up in the morning/In the bathroom singing the blues”, enticing the listener.

In accordance with her new release, Raye shared Love of Your Life with her 165,000 YouTube subscribers yesterday. The song’s title glows in an 80s inspired font over Raye’s uplifting, romantic melody.

Raye took to social media to announce the arrival of Love of Your Life. Sharing the song’s striking cover art to Instagram, the post gathered over 15,000 likes and views from excited fans. The post also received some love from fellow artists Jax Jones, Tré Samuels and Joel Corry.

Love of Your Life is the latest addition to a series of sizzling chart singles that Raye has put out over the course of this year. Raye kicked off 2020 with All Of My Love, in which she enlisted the help of talented British rapper, Young Adz.

Following All Of My Love, Raye collaborated with Jax Jones on Tequila, and released two solo tracks, the romantic Natalie Don’t, and now, Love of Your Life. These sporadic sonic Easter eggs are thankfully in preparation for Rayes’ upcoming LP, Euphoric Sad Songs, which is due out on November 20th via Polydor records.

Euphoric Sad Songs will be the first extended play from Raye since her Deezer Sessions (April 21st) and her last solo album, Side Tapes (May 4th 2018). Rayes’ Deezer Sessions can be listened to in full here.

Next year, Raye will perform live for the first time in too long at Sundown Festival. The dance-pop music festival will return to the Norfolk show ground on September 3rd to September 5th, 2021. Other esteemed British artists on the Sundown lineup are Becky Hill, Holy Goof, Fredo and Example. Tickets for Sundown 2021 can be found here.

Love of Your Life is out everywhere now. The tracklisting for Euphoric Sad Songs will go as follows:

A quick turn around from the rap legend, the new album follows Big Bad, which came in February 2019.

Now or Never comprises sixteen tracks. Giggs enlisted multiple stellar collaborations for the mammoth album, working with the likes of Kyze, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and Aystar. Tiny Boost, Demarco Obongjayar, Jorga Smith, Dave and Emelie Sandé were also recruited for Giggs’ star-studded album.

Giggs and Kyze for 100 Reps, where the rappers sustain a back and forth, boasting their respective excellence. Kyze opens the track, asserting himself immediately. Kyze raps “100 reps, that money flex/Fill up my tank, my tummy’s next” and “I’ll play the game till sudden death/I meditate till I manifest.”

Changed Me sees Giggs teaming up with American rapper A Boogie Wit da Hoodie. A low tempo bop, Changed Me is the perfect mix from two of the best figures in English and American rap.

Demarco and Giggs channel old school reggae vibes on Everybody Dead. Giggs does not hold back on the track, his razor-sharp lyrics dominating throughout. Giggs raps: “I think the money changed me/As for me and you, we’re not the same, baby/If you think you crazy, I’m the same, baby”

Jorja Smith lends her vocals on Im Workin, probably the most ballad-like track of the album. Smith’s unmistakable croon sings of someone feeling let down by the people closest to them; “I’m not tryna provе myself again/I’ve shown both my hands, therе’s nothing left and/I’d be runnin’ miles, tryin’ to please them.”

Giggs has also released an accompanying music video to Buff Baddies on his official YouTube channel today. Featuring an array of choreographed dances within a humongous warehouse, Buff Baddies would fit perfectly in a club setting. The music video to Buff Baddies can be watched in full here.

Giggs took to Instagram to deliver news of his surprise album. In the short clip, thunder and lightning crackled, whilst Giggs stood shrouded in a white hooded jacket, holding what looks like a pulsating radioactive rock. The Peligro rapper then throws the rock to the camera, unveiling the cartoon cover art to Now or Never, where Giggs is displayed almost holding the globe.

Fans were clearly ecstatic at the post, as the clip obtained over 199,000 views and likes already. One excited fan wrote “Incredible!”, whilst another commented joyfully “Back Like You Never Left”

It looks like Blossoms are already getting in the Christmas spirit, as the band announced plans to release a festive vinyl record. Although Blossoms have indulged us early by digitally releasing It’s Going to be a Cold Winter and Christmas Eve/Soul Purpose today, the physical vinyl record won’t hit shelves and stockings until next month.

A nod to their beloved hometown, Blossoms recruited the bright young voices from Stockport’s very own Junior Voices Choir. Rich Turvey and James Skelly, commonly known as frontman of indie band The Coral, both put their producer hats on and lent their talents to the record.

Blossoms’ limited edition, 7-inch vinyl will arrive on December 10th, well into the Christmas season. Ironically, Blossoms actually wrote the tracks months in advance, “back in the summer” on the hottest day of the year.

In other news, music lovers will have even more to look forward to, as Blossoms have confirmed that they will go on a European and UK tour in 2021.

Bring Me The Horizon have opened up about their latest EP, and the amazing list of collaborators they recruited for it. The nine-track EP POSTHUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR premiered on October 30th.

Bring Me The Horizon spared no creative expenses when making the record, recruiting the likes of Yungblud, BABYMETAL, Nova Twins, and Amy Lee for the riotous new EP.

Bring Me The Horizons’ lead vocalist Oliver Sykes opened up each killer collaboration, singing the highest of praises for each talented artist. When talking about collaborating with Yungblud on Obey, Sykes maintained that the artist’s brazen authenticity makes them integral to the modern music scene.

Sykes relayed that “He’s the kind of artist that rock needs – the kind of rockstar that changes a scene. I love him; he lights up a room. He’s the polar opposite to me. I wish I could have that confidence that he has. It’s infectious and that’s why a lot of kids look up to him.”

Sykes then went on to compare Yungblud to the late great David Bowie. Sykes said: “not since Bowie have we had people who are just so unashamedly and genuinely themselves and don’t give fuck or play by the rules.”

According to the Happy Song singer, another reason Bring Me the Horizon wanted to work with Yungblud was to strengthen their shared music scenes. Sykes stated that “Even Yungblud was like, ‘Doing a song together is so good for the scene’…It doesn’t matter if you’ve got the best band in the world, because if that’s the only one, then that scene dies… You can count on two hands the prominent rock bands that aren’t legacy acts or indie/pop bands like The 1975.”

Sykes meditated on how the amount of living rock legends has sadly dwindled over the decades. The talented vocalist said: “For actually heavy rock, there aren’t really enough artists to coax people in. That’s going to bring people into our world.”

When discussing BABYMETAL, whom the band enlisted for Kingslayer, Bring Me The Horizon revealed that they had been anxious to work with the duo for a long time. Sykes revealed that “We wanted to do something with them for ages…We’ve got a really special connection with them, even though we don’t speak the same language.

Sykes also said that BABYMETAL fit perfectly into the EP’s core message: “They work so well with the whole idea of this record being cyber punky.
Meanwhile, Bring Me The Horizon have confirmed that they will embark on a UK tour next year. The band will hit the road in September 2021, beginning the POSTHUMAN tour in Glasgow and concluding the anticipated tour in London.

Pale Waves have confirmed today (November 2nd), that they will be releasing new music later today. The announcement was made by lead vocalist Heather Baron-Gracie, who took to social media to deliver the brilliant news.

In a post to Instagram yesterday, Baron-Gracie shared a snap of herself, writing excitedly in the caption: “pale waves news tomorrow…. Finally”. The post has provoked a joyous response from fans, receiving over 18,000 likes. One excited fan wrote, “I can’t wait! This has saved 2020.”

Meanwhile, Pale Waves mysteriously deleted the entirety of their Instagram portfolio. This is a common hint that artists make when indicating towards new material, so fans can rest assured that some Pale Waves music is in fact on the way.

Pale Waves’ impending new single will be the first piece of music since their stunning debut album, My Mind Makes Noise. Released back in September of 2018, My Mind Makes Noises contains songs like Eighteen, There’s A Honey, and Loveless Girl.

NME said of the amazing debut: ‘My Mind Makes Noises’ is an album that obsesses over break-ups and make-ups, as well as dizzy affairs and their bitter fallouts – purposefully telling the story from all different angles. It’s the perfect record to summarise the band’s rise from Manchester’s little secret to one of the most adored new bands in the country.”

In a statement to NME last month, Heather Baron-Gracie confirmed that their second studio album is finished. When asked about their sophomore album, Baron-Gracie confirmed that the follow up to My Mind Makes Noise “is just chilling on a hard drive somewhere.”

Despite Baron-Gracie announcing a new and completed Pale Waves album, the name, tracklisting, and most importantly, the release date, remains unconfirmed. Back in May, Pale Waves premiered a demo of a new song, which could possibly feature on Pale Waves’ second album.

Entitled She’s My Religion, Baron-Gracie shared the demo to Twitter, writing to her followers that she “just wants some new PW music to come out tbh.” Baron Gracie said of She’s My Religion that the song is “a gay anthem.”

Earlier this year, Pale Waves teamed up with composer Lawrence Rothman for the moving song, SkindeepSkyhighHeartwide which was a part of the soundtrack for the horror film The Turning, which was released on January 23rd.

The end of 2020 was supposed to be an exciting time for Pale Waves. The Mancunian quartet were planning to headline Live At Leeds on November 28th, before it was unfortunately cancelled. Live at Leeds is an eclectic music festival that was established in 2007. Additional acts that were supposed to play Live At Leeds this year were Easy Life and Shame.
