The special edition release has been dubbed the ‘OJ Jumping Inside’ edition, a nod to the opening track of the show stopping album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette party. Always one to hide meaning in every part of her artistic journey, the liquified decision is a playful metaphor for fans to have and to hold forever.

Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party was officially released on August 28 2025. Initially only released as cryptic individual stand alone tracks on Williams’ website. The well received singles were then compiled into one record with an added bonus track in the late summer of 2025.

The incredible album has now received four well deserved Grammy nominations. In celebration of its release various worldwide ‘Ego Nite’ listening parties occurred. Hundreds of Williams’ fans piled into small venues across the globe to celebrate her new musical venture. In the UK alone 19 venues held their very own Ego Nite’s and each one was filled with enthusiastic energy. The fans simply could not wait to celebrate such a beautiful album.

Williams has been progressively growing as an independent artist after cutting ties with Atlantic records. Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party has received brilliant reviews from fans and critics alike. Williams was also named artist of the year by Alternative Press Magazine. It is safe to say she has had a brilliant year.

The new limited-edition vinyl has been solely produced by UK based label, Bad World and is being sold purely on a pre-order basis. It is only available to order during a four-day period which is set to conclude December 15, 2025 so make sure to grab one as soon as possible.

Due to the fact the record is only available via ore order its scheduled shipment is expected to be from February 6 2026 despite the late shipment it provides fans with something to look forward to in the new year.

The exclusive vinyl is priced at 65 GBP and features two liquid filled LP’s, a gatefold jacket featuring the album’s artwork, and a bonus fold out poster for dedicated fans to plaster in their bedrooms.

Williams’ is leaning into the rise of physical media; more and more people are rejecting traditional streaming services. By producing such exclusive records, she is benefiting those who enjoy amounting their own huge musical collections. To mark the day, the North Shields singer-songwriter will release a limited-edition six-track EP, ‘Me And The Dog’ on 12″ vinyl. The EP will feature two brand-new tracks from the artist as well as fan favourites and songs never pressed on vinyl before.

As part of the role, Sam is set to champion the vibrant and unique culture of the UK’s record shops and the vital role they play in their local communities.

Set to release his new album on February 21, the Northern artist shared: “This year is an exciting one for me and the band with the release of our new album, People Watching. We were so privileged to be able to work with the family of legendary North East photographer Tish Murtha and use her photography across the album’s artwork for all formats.”

He added: “The EP we’re releasing for Record Store Day is called ‘Me And The Dog’, which at one point was going to be the name of the new album, so it just feels right that it should have its own moment. We’ve included two songs that haven’t been released – I’m Always On Stage and Empty Spaces.”

‘Me And The Dog’ will be available over the counter only on Saturday April 12, from participating shops.  

Originally released in 1994, the emotive ballad soared to the top of the charts in multiple countries, spending five weeks as the UK No. 1 on the Official Charts and notably surpassing Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ for the Christmas No. 1 title that year. The song’s enduring appeal continues, as it amassed 20 million streams last year and is expected to re-enter the charts this festive season.

This vinyl release aligns with the growing trend of younger audiences preferring older music, alongside the increasing popularity of vinyl records. In 2023, vinyl sales in the UK grew by over 11% to 5.9 million units, the highest level since 1990, marking16 consecutive years of growth fueled by both classic albums and new releases. For instance, contemporary albums from artists like Lana Del Rey and Taylor Swift have topped vinyl charts, indicating the format is embraced by both nostalgic listeners and modern fans. 

With the music industry increasingly investing in older catalogs (songs older than 18 months) and catalog tracks claiming a third of Spotify’s charting songs as of 2022, the changing tide in music is evident. This trend is influenced by several factors including nostalgia, which plays an important role as older songs often resonate emotionally with listeners, and the use of older music in TV and Film leading classic songs back into pop culture. 

East 17’s vinyl release taps into this trend and coincides with the celebration for the 30th anniversary of ‘Stay Another Day’.

Tony Mortimer, who wrote the song, wished to honour the inspiration for the song as it reaches 30 years. The lyrics “Baby if you’ve got to go away/ Don’t think I could take the pain/ Won’t you stay another day?” are often interpreted as a romantic plea. However, ‘Stay Another Day’ is a tribute to Mortimer’s brother, who died tragically by suicide, and stems from Mortimer’s personal grief.

Discussing mental health with Music Week, Mortimer said: “It wasn’t spoken about as much back then, and had it been, it would have helped in a lot of ways”. Consequently, he has partnered with the music therapy charity Nordoff And Robbins to promote mental health awareness and acknowledge how music “can offer hope, expression, and healing to people everywhere.” 

For all items sold through www.stayanotherday.co.uk, London Records will donate £1 to the charity. Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with more than 60 years of practice the charity uses music to “break through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability, and social isolation.” The songwriter joined them at their Carol Service on 10 December, showing his commitment to the charity.

Speaking about the collaboration, Mortimer expressed his belief in “the healing power of music” and hopes to use the song as a platform to support parents and children who might benefit from music therapy.

While reflecting on the song’s legacy, Mortimer shared that he initially didn’t intend to release the record but was persuaded by his record company and management who confidently predicted it would become a Christmas No. 1. The poignant lyrics, ringing bells, and lush orchestration have cemented the song as a Christmas anthem. Mortimer says: “It’s humbling to go to Christmas markets 30 years later and still hear it playing in the background.”

Despite its origins in personal tragedy, ‘Stay Another Day’ has transcended its initial meaning to become a beloved Christmas classic. He describes the tracks as no longer his own, saying “It’s the public’s song. And when that happens, it’s the ultimate compliment.” This new release serves as both a celebration of the song’s enduring appeal and as a meaningful contribution to the conversation around mental health.

The late singer’s set on the Pyramid Stage is regarded as an all-time highlight of the festival’s long history. Glastonbury’s co-organiser Emily Eavis has given the following statement concerning the release, “Amy Winehouse was a Glastonbury-goer through and through. She either came and played or, when she wasn’t working, came and camped. She played in the blistering heat and the heavy rain, and there were so many magical moments to her performances.”

The upcoming release marks and celebrates the 15th anniversary of the performance, included within the Vinyl’s artwork will be a dedication by Eavis. Within the famed set, ticketholders were treated to a range of the singer’s back catalogue including the hits “Valerie”, “Tears Dry On Their Own”, “You Know I’m No Good” and megahit “Rehab”. Within the same day, Winehouse performed across two stages. After her headlining set on the Pyramid stage, the singer then took to the Jazz World stage in the evening.

The memorialised 2007 performance was Winehouse’s second appearance at Worthy Farm, the singer made her Glastonbury debut three years earlier. After the release of her debut album Frank, the singer began to gain traction within the industry and the album was shortlisted for the 2004 Mercury Music Prize. During the summer of 2004 Winehouse took the stage at Glastonbury for the first time, the singer was billed to perform on the Jazz world Stage alongside funk legend Roy Ayers and blues singer Bonnie Raitt. The iconic singer would go on to perform at the historic festival again in 2008; Winehouse headlined the Pyramid Stage on Saturday alongside Jay-Z and Manu Chao.

Fans were left devastated in 2011 when the tragic news of Winehouse’s passing was announced, it was confirmed that the 27-year-old singer had died from alcohol poisoning. The iconic artist’s discography consists of two highly acclaimed studio albums, Frank and her breakthrough release Back to Black. Winehouse’s enduring legacy and influence are apparent within all aspects of popular culture; with many of her hits canonised to preserve modern music, the singer is forever immortalised.

Memorabilia from Winehouse’s career and items from her estate were placed at auction last year. The Fender Stratocaster guitar used by the singer on stage and in the music video for “Take the Box” was sold for £117,00. A dress that Winehouse wore during her final performance was also placed on auction and the item was sold for £18,000. The dress was part of a huge auction that included 800 pieces from the late singer’s estate, the overall sales totalled over £3 million which was donated to charity.

Whitford provides the following statement speaking on the group’s initial ten years whilst expressing his excitement for the release, “For me, 2001-2011 feels like a special time period for Cut Copy. It charts the move from me first signing to a record label as a naive young kid who made music in my bedroom to a fully fledged band that forged its own musical fingerprint, created some globally loved albums and toured the world. Within Cut Copy’s evolution, the arc of these first ten years felt like a special musical journey. For Tim, Mitchell, Ben and I, every tour was a new discovery and every record was a new development, each with its own very unique visual and musical identity. Sadly those early albums are long out of print (only available second hand at astronomical prices).

Whitford continues to discuss the box-set, “So for this reason we decided it was time to create a vinyl box set covering the first ten years of Cut Copy.  I designed the artwork for the box as well as putting together a zine booklet that goes along with it, with old photos, setlists, notes and other memorabilia from the early days. We also compiled a bonus disc containing rare early releases ‘I Thought of Numbers’ and ‘1981.’ Hopefully the box is a special treat for our longtime fans and also new ones wanting to discover this era of our music for the first time.”

A press release for the box set provides the following statement, “The box set also documents Cut Copy’s fearless experimentation that has blurred the line between a rock group and dance music since their inception and their explorations with dub, Afrobeat, 70s Southern California harmonies, and more. Along with early EPs, 1981 and I Thought of Numbers (previously unavailable on vinyl), Bright Like Neon Love, In Ghost Colors, and the GRAMMY-nominated Zonoscope are all included. ”

In celebration of the upcoming release, the Australian indie-electronic outfit have also released a re-discovered documentary, the footage was found whilst preparing Collected Works 2001-2011. During the process of searching through their archive, the group stumbled across the film, shot in 2004 the documentary bears witness to the making of their debut album Bright Like Neon Love. The newly discovered footage was filmed in Sydney and Melbourne and features the group conducting various activities, they can be seen rehearsing, performing at Sydney’s Club 77 and DJ’ing at Kings Cross club Moulin Rouge at an after-party.

In support of the group’s upcoming release, the quartet is set to hit the road this Spring for their 2022 tour. The band kick off the twenty-five-date tour on 23rd April 2022 with a performance in Colorado, after sixteen US shows Cut Copy begin their Ireland and UK dates. On 24th October 2022, the group perform in Dublin and complete three more shows in Leeds and London. The group then start the European leg of their tour and perform in Paris on 30th October 2022, the tour concludes with a performance in Portugal on 4th November 2022.

This is part of the artists reissue series, which has been ongoing and will now feature her 5th studio album and will be available on February 26th, 2021. The feminist-punk musician has previously released the records Dry, To Bring You My Love, Dance Hall at Louse Point and Rid of Me in the year 2020.

This month will see another release that is part of that reissue series, the new vinyl edition of Is This Desire? which will come with a demo vinyl as well. Another album of hers which will be released this year as part of her reissue series will be The Hope Six Demolition Project, her documentary ‘A Dog Called Money’ follows the creation of that album and screened in December 2020.

Harvey has released the demos for Dry, among other previously released demo vinyl’s last year and the track The Mess Were In. The demos are available in vinyl and also for streaming on YouTube as of yesterday January 5th, 2021.

Despite the promotional effort with the 2020 and 2021 album and demo reissue series, PJ Harvey has not had any recent performances or new music and does not have any shows coming in he 2021 year as of yet. This is likely due to safety concerns surrounding the growing global health crisis Covid-19, especially with the new lockdown laws that were announced last week in the UK

Along with the announcement of the anniversary vinyl, the band posted on twitter a video of the album art, new band images and details on the availability of the record. This vinyl is only sold at the band’s blur-store and is now available to order here.

The original release of The Great Escape was in 1995 and was met with critical acclaim and brought the London natives worldwide fame. The band hit the top 100 Billboard charts and reached number 5 on the UK hit charts during their brit-pop years in the early 90s.

Blur had been on hiatus since the mid-2000’s and recently got together for a surprise reunion at Damon Albarn’s Africa Express Show in East London. Though it is not confirmed, some of the band members have expressed interest in playing Blur gigs in the future, including the lead-singer Damon Albarn.

Albarn is also known as one of the co-creators and lead singers of the virtual band Gorillaz, which will be on tour in 2021 for their latest album Song Machine: Season One-Strange Timez. The record was released last month and will likely post-pone any possible Blur reunions in the near future.

Blur has not played together seriously for years before their 2008 reunion, which saw a spring of summer concerts around the UK and even a headlining gig at Glastonbury festival. Their performance was noted as one of the best Glastonbury headliners in years. In 2009 the band reached their peak with a Grammy nomination for Best Long Form Music Video for the documentary No Distance Left to Run.

In 2012 they won the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music. In April 2015, Blur released their first studio album in twelve years, The Magic Whip. This album received critical praise worldwide and it was a triumphant comeback for the group.

The band has since been on another long hiatus despite their impressive comeback. There are no upcoming tour dates or music announced as of yet and their newest celebratory 25th anniversary vinyl is available for purchase today.
