Sophie Ellis-Bextor who is known for her early noughties pop hits such as “Murder of the Dance Floor” and “Groovejet“, will bring her infectious energy and captivating vocals to the tour. Additionally, T’Pau, led by the talented Carol Decker, will grace the stage with their powerful performances. With a number one album Bridge of Spies, T’Pau has left a memorable mark on the music industry. Their inclusion on the tour promises to bring their unique sound and unforgettable hits to the stage, such as the single “Heart and Soul“.

Kicking off in Cardiff in December 2024, The Human League will embark on a journey that will take them to various cities across the United Kingdom. Fans in Manchester, Birmingham, Brighton, Bournemouth, Glasgow, Leeds, and London will all have the opportunity to witness this spectacular event.

The tour is expected to be a celebration of the band’s iconic discography. Hailing from Sheffield, England, the synth-pop band The Human League was formed in 1977 as an experimental electronic group. Two years later, they signed with Virgin Records and went on to win the Brit Award for Best British Breakthrough Act in 1982. The Band have produced esteemed hits that have stood the test of time such as ” Don’t you want Me” and “Mirror Man”.

Back in October of this year in an interview about how the band as maintained popularity, Phillip Oakley said “I don’t know why we deserve to have the luck that we have had, seeing as we’re not especially talented or wonderful or anything. But somehow, I think we just got in the right teams at the right time and managed to keep it going.” He continued, “I think that if there is one thing that we have done, it’s we’ve been persistent. Times when a lot of people might have given up, we didn’t give up. And we stuck it out and when any one of us was finding it a bit hard, the other two kept it going, and that’s why we’re still here I think.”

With the promise of a disco party and fun for everyone attending, The Human League’s 2024 tour is shaping up to be an unforgettable experience.

Our favourite British duo, The Chemical Brothers, have just announced a selection of dates for their upcoming UK tour later this year. Bearing in mind their summer is busily crammed, involving shows scattered around the world, we are nothing but surprised to receive such good news.

The news comes sweetly after their release, the first since The Darkness That You Fear in 2021, of “No Reason”. Released on the 17th March, they allure us into their unmistakable energy once again. The song clatters with it’s snare and carries you into a twisted pool of melodic intricacies but doesn’t fail to maintain you stable with the ir renowned chemical bass sound. It hasn’t failed to trigger spectators in their latest live shows.

This song comes as preparation for an upcoming album release they are more than ready to drop on us. “It embraces new avenues of discovery and nods to the wider world, while having the feel of a victory lap and retrospective,” mentioned NME in a review of the record. The soon to be released album will be coming as a follow up from their 2019 release of No Geography.

The single has come visually accompanied by a production made by Smith & Lyall. A duo production company who have worked closely with The Chemical Brothers over the years, creating extraordinary and mind blowing creative pieces for the electronic couple.

Their upcoming UK tour is set to kick off on the Thursday, 26th October in Glasgow at the well known OVO Hydro. The journey continues on a short and sweet episode around the country. The following day on the Friday, 27th October, they will be performing at the AO Arena in Manchester. The next gigs will be held at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on the Saturday 28th October, at the 3Arena in Dublin on the 1st of November, at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham on the Friday, 3rd November and will host the grand finale at the O2 Arena in London on the 4th November.

Their summer tour commences this April and will be running through until beginnings of September where they will be visiting a variety of lands including the US, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, the Netherlands, Ireland, Finland, Italy, Romania, Poland, France, Wales, Scotland and England. Let’s hope the break they have given themselves between September and October is enough to regaine energies for another bomb finale week of shows around english territory.

Tickets for their UK tour go live on the 31st March and fans can access pre-sale tickets on the 29th March.

Gallagher’s summer tour will be taking him all over the UK and Ireland to places such as Glasgow, Belfast, and Manchester. He’ll also be making a historic return to Knebworth for two nights in June, the spot where Oasis’ classic 1996 concerts took place.

It’s all in support of Liam’s upcoming solo album, C’MON YOU KNOW, which is out this Friday. It’ll be his third solo LP, following up on 2019’s Why Me? Why Not., and should sport the previously released singles “Everything’s Electric“ (co-written with Foo Fighters founder Dave Grohl), “C’Mon You Know“ and “Better Days“. For those of you who have pre-ordered the new album before 3 pm today (from this link), you’ll have special access to the pre-sale which starts tomorrow at 10 am.
There’s quite a lot of Liam Gallagher news out there at the moment which we can mention here. You can take your pick, from his recently announced collaboration with Adidas, helping them launch a new brand of trainers, to his new documentary on Sky – Liam Gallagher: 48 Hours at Rockfield. The latter will be released tonight at 9 pm, and will show Gallagher taking his sons Lennon and Gene to the very studio where Oasis’ classic second LP was recorded – Rockfield Studios.

The documentary will have the singer talking about his own unique perspective on life, especially on his notoriously hard-living lifestyle as he gets closer to fifty. “I am not into yoga and I don’t eat tofu. I drink lager and I like to have a good time. I don’t punish myself into being some super-skinny dude. I am what I am …. I will be like this when I am f***ing 80, hopefully …. There are some aches and pains, but in my head I am on it.”

Apparently, his sons are just as bitey as him when it comes to sarcasm, telling the world that “You don’t want to use the toilet after him” and that “You’d have a heart attack. We’ve got to save him, dementia is kicking in.”

If you’re interested in Liam’s upcoming tour dates, you can see them below. Suffice it to say, it seems a sure wake-up call to the world that the rocker isn’t done yet with his special brand of showmanship.

Paolo Nutini hasn’t released any new material in eight years, and true to form as the passionately private individual he is, he hasn’t made a peep in public or across his social media either. Yet here he is, back from the blue, with two new songs, a massive 18 date 2020 tour announcement, and a new live video for lead single “Through The Echoes”. The tour will encompass much of the UK and Europe’s most beloved venues and will stretch out from Autumn until the end of this year. For those Brits hoping to catch him on native soil, you can catch Paolo playing the iconic Alexandre Palace in London on the 25th of October, or other venues in Manchester, Birmingham, Hull, Edinburgh, and Aberdeen throughout October and November.

With a name that belies his origins, Paolo has come a long way from the small town of Paisley in Scotland where he grew up. Despite now being a chart-topping troubadour and national favourite, the singer was once expected to follow his fathers footsteps into the family fish and chip shop business, before being encouraged to sing by his music loving grandfather and a teacher from his school who recognised his gift.

After three top 10 albums, two of which going to number 1, Paolo is now in the luxurious position of being able to return after an 8 year hiatus in the knowledge that his stadium and arena tour will sell out in seconds despite the layoff period. In this respect, he seems to have gained a similar allure and shelf life to that of Adele, if somewhat more reserved, in that he always seems to be relevant no matter where the UK’s zeitgeist wanders. A soul voice like no other, he has a transportive sound that is both nostalgic and current, a sonic niche that sounds effortless to the masses, but is in reality incredibly difficult to capture authentically. His new single “Through The Echoes” is a great example of this, straddling the breadth of his impressive vocal range, Paolo belts out a rousing chorus sure to blow the rafters off the venues he is due to play in the coming months. You can catch a glimpse of the magic here with this new live performance video of “Through The Echoes”:

Ex-Beatles drummer and pop icon Ringo Starr has some good news for his North American fans. His planned tour of the States was originally scheduled to finish by June 26th, but a recent announcement of 19 new dates has lengthened it until October 20th. Being accompanied by his All Starr band (made up of Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette, Edgar Winter, Steve Lukather of Toto, Colin Hay of Men at Work and Average White Band’s Hamish Stuart), Starr’s tour will start off next May 27th in Canada.

If you’re interested in getting tickets then you can look here. Some of the new shows have him visiting the likes of New Jersey, Washington and California. It’s especially impressive news considering he turned 81 back in July, with his 82nd birthday due during this tour.

However, our two remaining Beatles have a tendency towards spritely old age. Paul McCartney is also set for some shows later this year, namely as one of the headlining acts for Glastonbury in June. If you’re interested in this, you can look here.

Starr’s news comes after the release of his two EP’s back in 2021 – Zoom In and Change the World. Zoom In was filmed in Starr’s own home studio during the pandemic months of 2020 and released last year in March, with Change the World following in September.

NME seemed to take the former project with a sense of humour, noting in their 3-star review that it was “the sort of upbeat, unrelenting jollity we expect from Ringo …. Well-meaning and positive, ‘Zoom In’ is the aural equivalent of wishing somebody a ‘Happy Hump Day!’ over email, while wearing a daft grin. For all its flaws, this is a hard record to hate.“

Sadly, we’ve been told not to expect any more full-length LPs from Starr, with 2019’s What’s My Name possibly being his last. But it could be seen as a fitting end, featuring McCartney on a cover of the John Lennon track “Grow Old With Me“, a version which references George Harrison’s “Here Comes the Sun“ in the string arrangement – thereby having something from each Beatle in some shape or form. A cover of “Money (That’s What I Want)“ also features, something The Beatles included on their 1963 album With the Beatles.

Starr is also due to appear on Eddie Vedder’s new solo album, Earthling, so exciting news for any Pearl Jam/Beatles crossover fans.

The tour promises to have a number of Ashcroft’s old The Verve hits, as well as some new tracks, such as from his latest album, Acoustic Hymns Vol.1. Released in October last year, the album seemed to please fans, reaching no. 2 on the UK Official Albums Chart and featuring Ashcroft reimagining “some of his biggest shows“. It even featured another star of the nineties, Liam Gallagher, on the album’s track “C’Mon People (We’re Making it Now)“, a remix of which was released in January.

Some other things Ashcroft’s got coming up include a part in Edinburgh’s The Big Top concert series, occurring on 17th June at the Royal Highland Centre. The festival has managed to attract a number of big names, with the likes of Madness, Biffy Clyro and Fatboy Slim also due to headline.

Then there’s news of an all-day special performance in London’s Crystal Palace Bowl, joining in a series of gigs by South Facing Festival, which is still to announce some of the other performers joining its stage in the near future.

It’s good to see him back in action, especially after pulling out of last year’s Tramlines Festival in Sheffield, not feeling comfortable with it being used by the government as a “testing programme“ for COVID-19’s transmissibility. He said at the time “Apologies to my fans for any disappointment but the festival was informed over 10 days ago that I wouldn’t be playing once it had become part of a government testing programme. I had informed my agent months ago I wouldn’t be playing concerts with restrictions. The status of the festival was one thing when I signed up for it, but, sadly was forced to become something else. “

If you want to order Ashcroft’s latest album, you can look here. His upcoming tour dates can be seen below. As for future endeavours, Ashcroft’s not shy about who he’d like to work with, recently talking of his hopes to write hits for Rihanna, arguing that his “big melodies and big choruses“ could be a good match for the pop star.

Their first UK tour since 2018, it’s on the back of their album As Long as You Are, which was released in October 2020. The band isn’t used to such a long time being unable to tour, what with their prolific live reputation from before the pandemic. Having opened for the likes of Morrissey and Grace Jones, and playing at numerous worldwide festivals like Coachella and Øyafestivalen, they’d already passed 1,000 live performances within ten years of playing together.

Fans should have a lot to look forward to, what with the serious approach they take towards the performing arts. Having formed from the art school ethos that was Art Lord & the Self-Portraits, band frontman Sam Herring has been quoted as saying “I fell in love with performance art when I was 17 … you can stand on the street and perform for 30 minutes with some weird thing you came up with off the top of your head … people are going to walk by and you’re going to get a reaction …. And that’s an exciting thing, to look into people’s eyes. There’s no expectation …. It can grab people and that’s a cool thing.”

His dedication to the craft can be seen by all the torn ligaments and throat problems Herring’s reportedly had over the years, but it doesn’t change the fact fans are probably in for a good show with a guy who knows how to give it his all.

In other news, the band are reportedly working on their seventh studio album, although it’s been a while in the making, having announced work on it back in January 2021. And they were also seen on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert last February, playing their new song “King of Sweden“. You can see this performance below, as well as their upcoming UK and Ireland tour dates.

The single features on their similarly named album Crawler which was produced by IDLES’ Mark Bowen alongside American record producer Kenny Beats. The video features a Claymation version of frontman Joe Talbot riding a motorcycle while singing candid and poetic lyrics that deal with the harsh realities of addiction and the following process of recovery. You can watch the full video below.

Talbot said of the track “this is the turning point, after you’ve crashed. It’s a good anthem for me to discuss with people who aren’t on the other side or who aren’t sober. You’re not the best version of you and you need to hold yourself accountable for your addictions and who you’re letting down. But it doesn’t mean you’re a bad person. “Crawl” the title is like, keep going. You’ll get there.”

His bandmate the aforementioned Bowen also added: “If you’re being forced to crawl, you’ve surrendered to the notion that you can’t get up and run or walk. You’re having to surrender your hands and knees to the process of moving forward. Joe was dealing with a lot of these traumas and things going on in his life, and one of the ways he was dealing with them was with drugs and alcohol. He wasn’t able to walk, run or deal with it, so he had to crawl through it. It’s the first track on the album where you see the defiance of that: this is what I am. I’m pretty shit at some things and pretty good at other things, but I’m all me. This is the real turning point on the album, where there’s a self-realization and defiance.”

IDLES began their worldwide tour last month after being forced to reschedule dates in Cardiff due to COVID-19 restrictions. The added tour dates will now make this the band’s biggest North American tour to date. You can purchase tickets here as well as view the tour poster and dates below.

The fall triggered years old injury’s from his 2003 quad bike accident, and it was imperative that he had surgery to fix this. Taking to social media earlier this month, Osbourne said “I can’t believe I have to reschedule more tour dates. Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am to not be on tour right now”.

Ozzy’s tour is celebrating two decades of ‘The Prince of Darkness’, and is the second leg of the farewell tour, named ‘No More Tours’. The setlist consists of all of Ozzy’s greatest hits along with a few Black Sabbath legendary tracks such as ‘Paranoid’ and ‘War Pigs’. Fans are looking to see Osbourne perform for the final time, and have been eager on social media following his journey back to well-being.
