Pinkpantheress has shared the tracklist for her upcoming second mixtape, titled ‘Fancy That’. The bedroom-pop/alt artist dropped the first single ‘Tonight’ last week. She then revealed the new mixtape’s tracklist on social media last night (April 6).

She posted the project’s tracklist after interacting with fans – one asked her to release the track ‘Romeo’, which was teased on TikTok last year. She then wrote: “Posting da tracklist early just to let you all know that it’s track NINE.”

The ‘Fancy That’ tracklist is full of other new songs, including the previously teased ‘Tonight’, her recently released bouncy new single that was accompanied by a Bridgerton-inspired music video. The clip features horse-drawn carriages, penny farthings and Pinkpantheress and her friends dressed in 1800’s regency outfits. The song also samples a deep cut from Panic! At The Disco’s 2008 album ‘Pretty. Odd’, called ‘Do You Know What I’m Seeing?’.

The Kent-born singer recently told Mixmag that she was inspired by the sounds of Fatboy Slim and Groove Armada while making this new tape: “I loved the size of the music,” she says. “All the music sounds so big and grand and present, and I really wanted to make music where it sounds like a statement is being made with the songs. I feel like that was what appealed to me, and it’s something that I wanted to take on board.”

She also reflected on the reception of her first two projects, her first mixtape ‘To Hell With It’ in 2021, and her debut album ‘Heaven Knows’ in 2023. “My first project was more gritty and DIY so had a much younger fanbase who liked that, whereas my album was more appreciated by proper music nerds who appreciated the cleanliness or mixing. It was cool to see that versatility. But I always love the grittiness and the DIY, and for this upcoming project I asked the mixers to not make it too clean because I like the way my voice sounds when it’s not too polished.”

The tracklist for Pinkpantheress’ ‘Fancy That’ is as follows:

1. ‘Illegal’

2. ‘Girl Like Me’

3. ‘Tonight’

4. ‘Stars’

5. ‘Intermission’

6. ‘Noises’

7. ‘Nice To Know You’

8. ‘Stateside’

9. ‘Romeo’

Last week, Pinkpantheress was announced to be playing at Glastonbury 2025. You can see our latest writeup on the festival’s lineup here.

Gloucestershire-born artist FKA Twigs (Tahliah Debrett Barnett) is someone known for her wide variety of talents. From writing songs, singing them and producing records, all the way up to dancing and acting; in her latest venture, she’s taken to the world of filmmaking. Directing her own short film in celebration of the International Woolmark Prize (honouring achievements related to fashion), Twigs’ new feature Playscape allows her to show off both her dance and directing skills.

The soundtrack features Duval Timothy and Rosie Lowe’s “He Hu“, before giving way to X-Ray Spex’s “Identity“. It was a collaboration with Juliano Nunes (of Avant Garden collective) and was filmed in New York City’s Noguchi Foundation Museum.

Twigs has said that it’s “an honour to be chosen by the Woolmark Prize to work with such talented designers“. You can see the film down below.

And that’s not all she’s done recently. You can read here about Twigs’ latest mixtape, Caprisongs, which was released in January. It reached no.1 on the US Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and achieved her usual wave of positive reviews in the process.

NME called Caprisongs “the brightest, poppiest music of her career“ in their four-star review, noting that “After pouring her darkest moments into ‘Magdalene’, this varied and playful mixtape represents a moment of release, though it remains to be seen whether Barnett will head further into this direction, or enter a new album era recharged. You suspect, knowing twigs and her crew of chameleon-like collaborators, that she’ll probably continue to do both at once.”

And she’s been finding time for collaborations as well, appearing on the new Yung Lean mixtape – Stardust. The two worked on the track “Bliss“, the video of which you can see below and was directed by Aidan Zamiri.

NME describes the video as “’00s nostalgia “, noting the influence of Nelly’s 2002 video for the track “Dilemma“, which has apparently been keeping the internet meme community busy for a while now. References to the noughties feature, such as an old Nokia phone and Microsoft Excel.

It’s been a bit of a comeback for Lean as well, what with it being his latest full-length work under the Yung Lean moniker, following on from Starz in 2020. Some of the other big names on his mixtape include Skrillex, Thaiboy Digital and Jack Donaghue.

It’s been a good past few years for Twigs, with fans probably as eager as ever for the follow-up to her 2019 studio LP “Magdalene“. If you’re interested in purchasing her latest mixtape or some merchandise, you can follow the link to her website here.

Deno has just revealed that his forthcoming mixtape ‘Boy Meets World’ will drop next month. The singer took to Instagram to make the announcement, saying, “It’s been a long wait but finally my mixtape BOY MEETS WORLD is out May 14th.”

Whilst only 18 years old, Deno has cemented himself as a hook master within the UK music scene, having gifted infectious choruses to an array of artists. To this day, perhaps the most stellar example of his knack for melodies remains his 2018 collaboration with Cadet on ‘Advice’, which is incidentally also his most played track on Spotify with over 70 million plays. The song also appeared on Cadet’s posthumously released album ‘The Rated Legend’ in 2020, thus also serves as a reminder of the energetic talent that the scene lost when Cadet tragically passed away over two years ago.

Known for his flawless tenor vocals, Deno has appeared over pop, hip-hop, R&B, afroswing, and even drill production. In an interview with On The Radar in 2019, Deno demonstrated that he is clearly aware of his versatile selection of beats, suggesting that it is a conscious choice to appeal to as wide an audience as possible. He said, “I’ve got that street-smart aura. I’ve got that cool, young, fresh sound. I can do more than just one genre. I don’t just do Afroswing. I did a song the other day with Chip on a rhythmic drill beat. I can do the singing thing and the half-sing, half-rap thing. It takes me to different audiences.”

The teenage talent is both wise beyond years and highly ambitious; in the same interview, Deno said: “I’m going to be like Drake”. Although he has a long path ahead of him, the singer’s prophecy is not impossible given what he has achieved at such a young age.

The South Londoner teamed up with J.I. the Prince of N.Y. and Chunkz on his latest track ‘Lingo’, a track which is likely to appear on his forthcoming mixtape. The song’s main theme is luxury, something that the music video itself emphasises through a backdrop of supercars and money stacks. As both an 18-year-old and a smooth vocalist, J.I. the Prince of N.Y. is Deno’s transatlantic counterpart, and his appearance on the track is most probably a savvy decision made by Deno to attract an untapped American audience.

With obvious mainstream appeal, there really is no ceiling for Deno. ‘Boy Meets World’ will be a chance for the rising star to propel himself to the heights that he has been aiming for.
