Fans all over the UK and Europe have begun receiving the vinyl this week, several days after it was shipped out in the US. The shipment of the vinyls have drastically changed the race for this week’s number one album, with Swift now gaining more chart units than Inhaler’s ‘Open Wide‘ which was released last week and is currently topping the update albums chart.

The vinyl was originally released as a special and very limited edition in 2023, four years after the album ‘Lover‘ was released. Swift held a concert, titled ‘City of Lover’, in Paris in September 2019, weeks after the release of the album, and recorded the set to release it on streaming platforms the following year. ‘Lover (Live from Paris)‘, marked Swift’s fourth live recorded album and only entered UK charts upon the release of the first vinyl edition, in 2023, peaking at 90.

The original album ‘Lover‘ had peaked at number one, and has (so far) spent 268 weeks charting, and is currently charting at 43.

‘Lover (Live from Paris)‘ includes eight songs, all from the ‘Lover‘ album and many of which have made it to Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ setlist. The trackless includes: ‘ME!’, ‘The Archer’, ‘Death by a Thousand Cuts’, ‘Cornelia Street’, ‘The Man’, ‘Daylight’, ‘You Need To Calm Down’ and, of course, ‘Lover’. The album’s biggest hit, ‘Cruel Summer’, which peaked at number two in the UK, was not included in the ‘City of Lover’ concert but made it to the ‘Eras Tour’ setlist after its incredible popularity years after the release of the album.

If ‘Lover (Live from Paris)’ achieved the number one spot of this week’s UK chart like it is expected to, it would mark Swift’s 13th album to reach the position. Previously, she had claimed the number one spot with:

Formed in 2022, L.S. Dunes comprises an all-star lineup of Anthony Green of Circa Survive on vocals, Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance and Travis Stever of Coheed and Cambria on guitars, Tim Payne of Thursday on bass, and Tucker Rule, also of Thursday, on drums. Together, they create a post-hardcore sound using high-energy instrumentation to perfect it. 

The announcement not only coincides with their supporting role but also with their latest single, ‘Paper Tigers’. The track is an exploration of self-doubt and teases an electrifying preview of Violet. Green offers emotional lyrics capturing the tension between being fragile and strong, highlighted in the line, “I was running in circles trying to keep up, at last I was given the signal.” The song showcases the band’s signature mix of punk energy and melodic intensity, which has built up anticipation for the album’s release. With these beautifully vulnerable lyrics and the thunderous rhythm section, the single represents the band’s sound. It pushes musical boundaries but still remains true to their post-hardcore roots. 

While the band is supporting Rise Against at larger venues across the UK and Europe, the Leeds and Cardiff headliners promise fans a chance to see L.S. Dunes at their most unfiltered. These performances will no doubt feature tracks from their 2022 album Past Lives, alongside material from Violet. 

Past Lives introduced L.S. Dunes’ explosive sound, with notable tracks like ‘Permanent Rebellion’ that resonate as anthems representing defiance and resilience. The album also established the band as a major force in the genre’s revival movement, blending completely heartfelt lyricism with raw instrumentation. 

The upcoming headline shows also reflect the band’s commitment to creating a meaningful connection with audiences across the pond, not only hitting the UK but featuring a show in Germany as well. Although the band has performed in the UK before in 2023, these intimate gigs give fans a unique opportunity to see how their music has developed.

During an episode of The Osbournes podcast, Ozzy openly shared the details of his pending surgery, following the significant distress he has faced in recent years, due to his accident. Ozzy said, “It is going to be the final surgery because I can’t do it any more.” 

However, in a recent interview with Metal Hammer, the musician provided a positive update on his health following his “final surgery” in September. Ozzy said “I have now undergone all the necessary surgeries, for which I am grateful,” he affirmed. “I am feeling alright – the recovery process has been prolonged. I had anticipated being back on my feet months ago, but adjusting to this lifestyle of constantly dealing with health issues has been challenging. While I am still unable to walk properly, I am no longer experiencing any pain, and the surgery on my spine was a success.”

Speaking further with Metal Hammer Ozzy revealed, “I’ve done two albums fairly recently, but I want to do one more album and then go back on the road. I’m just starting to work on it now, and we’ll be recording in the early part of next year.” he added. “I want to take my time with this one!”

Ozzy, who collaborated with Andrew Watt on both the critically acclaimed album Ordinary Man in 2020 and the previous year’s Patient Number 9 Ozzy hopes to actively seek to engage Watt’s once again to embark on the creation of fresh musical melody, at his own personal studio within his residence in the United Kingdom.

In January 2020, Osbourne publicly disclosed his Parkinson’s diagnosis, which he had previously kept concealed for more than 15 years. He claimed his motivation for sharing this deeply personal information was because “I feel better now I’ve owned up to them.”

In a recent Osbourne family podcast he told Jack, “I never think about it, I never go, I don’t go, oh I’ve got Parkinson’s because it’s so mild, it’s ridiculous. If I don’t take the medication, I tremor a little bit in the morning. As long as I take the medication I’m fine.

At present, there are no scheduled tour dates for the year 2024.

“I’ve always wanted to do an hour’s worth of noise, and I didn’t want it… The Cure, you wait ten years and then we bring out an album that’s just noise. So it was just like, “No” – that was me doing the rest of the band. That “no” was a band no. So I’ve been just having fun with that really,” Smith explained.

The Cure singer said he will have more updates soon: “Probably in about six weeks’ time I’ll be able to say when everything’s coming out and what we’re doing next year and everything … We were doing two albums and one of them’s very, very doom and gloom and the other one isn’t. And they’re both very close to being done. I just have to decide who’s going to mix them. That’s really all I’ve got left to do”.

The interview also featured the indie-pop band CHVRCHES from Glasgow, since they teamed up with Smith to release the single “How Not to Drown”, ahead of the band’s new album ‘Screen Violence‘. Along with his collaboration with CHVRCHES, the author of the hit “Friday I’m in Love” also teamed up with Gorillaz for their new track “Strange Timez” as well as Deftones for a remix of their own song “Teenager”.
