Atlanta rapper Lil Yachty is taking his experimental fourth studio album Let’s Start Here global with his The Field Trip tour this winter. The 39-stop tour features 12 dates in Europe and 4 in the UK. And no, he won’t be stopping in “Poland”.

Miles Parks McCollum, aka Lil Boat, aka Lil Yachty, will travel through the US starting the first leg of the tour in Washington in late September and ending in Detroit in early November. He will jet off to Europe starting with Oslo in late November concluding the tour in mid-December in Vienna.

Yachty will be visiting Manchester, London, Glasgow, and Birmingham during the second leg of his tour. On the 30th November he will visit the O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester. The following evening he will play the UK’s capital at the OVO Wembley Arena. Yachty will visit Scotland on the 3rd December performing at the O2 Academy in Glasgow. His final UK date will be in Birmingham’s O2 Academy on the 4th December.

The charismatic rapper shared the tour poster to his Instagram with the caption “Tickets are now on pre-sale at fieldtriptour.com finally. The link is in my bio.. gooooooooooo, it’s been a long time”.

General sale for tickets begins on Friday the 12th May at 12 PM BST. Tickets are now available on pre-sale. To purchase and for more information see here.

The newly psychedelically inspired artist will also be popping up at a couple of festivals this summer in the UK and Europe including Ruissalo in Turku and Wireless in London.

On Let’s Start Here, released in January, Yachty abandoned the mumble rap trap persona he was notorious for in favour of a more mature kaleidoscopic soundscape of R&B and neo-soul with echoey guitar riffs and autotuned vocals. His experimentations paid off and the record has fast become a fan favourite and achieved Yachty the highest critical praise in his career.

Watch the video for “sAy sOMETHINg” below:

Yachty dipped his toes into neo-psychedelia with help from a bunch of industry heavyweights such as slacker rock extraordinaire Alex G, beloved indie rocker Mac Demarco, the electropop duo Magdalena Bay, MGMT’s Ben Goldwasser, and Chairlift’s Patrick Wimberley who all played a part in bringing Let’s Start Here together.

“This album is so special and dear to me. I think I created it just because I really wanted to be taken seriously as an artist,” Yachty told the crowd gathered at the album release party in New Jersey. “Not just some SoundCloud rapper. Not just some mumble rapper. Not just some guy who made one hit. I wanted to be taken serious because music is everything to me. I respect all walks of music, not just rap and hip hop. Everything.” Watch more of his speech below:

Neo soul singer Liv.e has announced that on the second leg of her worldwide tour she will be visiting Europe and the UK later this spring. The singer announced the new dates via Instagram and Twitter on the 4th April.

The tour, supporting Liv.e’s latest album Girl in the Half Pearl, will include five UK dates in Leeds, Liverpool, Dublin, Manchester, and London. The artist will travel to Europe in June before heading to Australia and finishing in Japan. Liv.e is also performing at Øyafestivalen and Lowlands Festival this August. For tickets and more information see here.

The Dallas-born Los Angeles-based singer started the first leg of her tour in March playing dates across North America including a few sold-out shows. She’ll also be performing on the Stephen Colbert Late Show this Friday the 7th April.

25-year-old Olivia Dean, also known as Liv.e, didn’t originally plan on a musical career having grown up in a family of musicians. Her dad played Blues and was embedded in the Gospel scene and her brother is a drummer. However, after finishing a degree in architecture and object design at the School of the Institute of Chicago Art she decided on a career switch. Her debut EP F.R.A.N.K. dropped in 2017 and the following year her EP Hoopdreams won her fans in Erykah Badu and Earl Sweatshirt. After touring with Earl on his Fire It Up Tour in 2019 and featuring on his EP Feet of Clay her popularity only grew. In 2020, she released her debut album Couldn’t Wait to Tell You to critical acclaim.

The singer’s sophomore album Girl in the Half Pearl was released on 10th February. It’s a mosaic of genres meshing neo-soul, alt R&B, and hypnagogic pop sometimes with jungle beats and at others with a touch of psychedelia. It’s no surprise that it has been praised by Pitchfork, Loud and Quiet, and Vulture magazine.

Liv.e’s struggles with heartbreak are evident in Girl in the Half Pearl. The singer told Pitchfork: “I didn’t have anybody to talk talk to, so I wrote this album. I had to get this shit out of me. That’s why I’m so glad the album is out, because I feel like an open wound that’s hitting the wind. It feels nasty, but it feels kinda like, “Ahhhh”.

London based soul artist IYAMAH first arrived on the scene with her debut single ‘Cryptic Love’ in 2018, since then her rise to becoming apart of the neo-soul movement in the UK has been rapid. Having grown up on reggae and African style music from a young age, her style incorporates the likes of Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys and Erykah Badu with her parent’s generation of music, a style she self-proclaimed as Rootsy Soul.

As of today, IYAMAH has released her new extended play titled ‘Tough Love’. The eight track soulful affair details her trials and tribulations with relationships, featuring the singles ‘More’ featuring Coops, which she described to Trench as “‘a glimpse into that kind of love that we all fantasise over”, and ‘Sofa’, which came accompanied by a music video starring herself. The EP is available on all major streaming services with a running time of twenty-two minutes.

Tough Love is the third project released by IYAMAH. Her two previous extended plays titled ‘Truth EP 1’ and ‘Truth EP 2’ respectively were key to helping her build a following as an artist. These two projects have spawned some of her biggest songs, including the hit Cryptic Love and other fan favourites ‘KYWK’, ‘Balance’ and ‘Lone Soldier’. With her rising popularity, IYAMAH’s Jazz Café show in London has since been rescheduled. The fully social distanced and seated affair will be a celebration of the new extended play, also harping back to the Truth projects. The show is scheduled to take place at the established Camden venue Jazz Café, which has seen iconic performances from the likes of D’Angelo and Amy Winehouse. The sold out event is set to be a breakthrough performance for IYAMAH, who will be performing songs from the new EP which can be streamed below.

East London soulstress Tiana Major9 had a successful last couple of years, including the release of her ‘At Sixes And Sevens’ project. This extended play spawned the beloved track ‘Collide’ featuring Atlanta rap duo EarthGang, which subsequently became featured on the soundtrack for the Melina Matsoukas directed film ‘Queen & Slim’. This notoriety led her to features on other albums including rapper Stormzy’s sophomore ‘Heavy For The Head’ and most recently Lucky Daye’s Valentines Day EP ‘Table For Two’.

The Motown signed artist has returned with a remix EP of her beloved project, blending genres such as reggae and jazz with her R&B sound. ‘At Sixes And Sevens Remixed’ provides a fresh take on five of the original tracks, with an array of features spanning the globe. The first track keeps us in London with up and coming singer JVCK JAMES, as does track two where Tiana recruits Haile, one half of the UK duo WSTRN. After these two songs we take a trip overseas to sunny Los Angeles, where tracks three and four offer remixes from Long Beach rapper Vince Staples and Inglewood R&B artist SiR. The final remix features Kingston born producer and singer BEAM, whose infectious vocals add flavour to the reggae infused track.

This remix EP follows her acoustic version of the project also, featuring stripped back versions of all the tracks. With a growing fanbase, both projects are set to help Tiana achieve new levels of fame for the eventual release of her highly anticipated debut album on Motown Records. With Collide going as far as to receive a nod from the Grammys in 2020, there is set to be a promising career ahead for the Newham raised artist. Fans are eager to hear what’s next in store, with the remix EP cleansing the palette for a while until the next chapter.

Before music, Biig Piig worked in a range of roles including receptionist, bartender and a poker dealer at Londons Hippodrome. The music video to ‘Cuenta Lo’ is focused on the time the singer spent as a poker dealer. Directed by Nono Ayuso and Rodrigo Inada, the eerie video portrays the singer as a poker dealer again, with several players at her table. The video shows the players as greedy and money-obsessed, eventually moving in to supernatural, demonic images of the poker players. The singer stated that the ‘frighteningly special’ video is ‘based around when I used to be a poker dealer, and it’s about the coldness and greediness that money can bring in all industries… including music.”

Following on from 2020’s success with tracks such as ‘Feels Right’, Biig Piig has switched up her style again with ‘Cuenta Lo’. The almost sinister feel to the track with the ominous music video differs it from other releases but is just as exciting and new. The track has been deservedly included in NME’s ‘Best New Track’ playlist (on Spotify). As part of the Nine8 collective, Biig Piig stated that ‘Nine8 is all people of a similar age and ethos creating a safe space to ask questions and help each other out.’
