Prior to this announcement, The Killers were already set to play two performances at the Emirates Stadium in London and Dublin’s Malahide Castle.

Last October, The Killers teased a snapshot of potential song titles to their Instagram. Titles included ‘Blowback’, ‘Party People’, ‘When Dreams Run Dry’, ‘Dying Breed’, ‘Caution’ and ‘Man + Woman’. These tracks were given large ticks, suggesting they were confirmed for the sixth album.

Further titles included, ‘Spirit of Mystery’, ‘My God’, ‘Running Towards’, ‘Fire + Bone’, ‘Just Can’t Quit’ and ‘Mirage C’est La Vie’.

The following month, The Killers announced the title to their sixth album, ‘Imploding The Mirage’.

The Guardian praised The Killers Glastonbury 2019 set. The review reads: “But the sight of Flowers, a noted Pet Shop Boys and Smiths obsessive, living out his dreams on stage provides it with something else: one of those elusive Glastonbury Moments festivalgoers talk so much about.
