It was shot and edited by Me3Media and now available to listen to through their Facebook, Youtube and Soundcloud platforms. In the opening thirty seconds of the video, guitar strings play backed to a soulful instrumental sound, presenting David against a deep blue background, clutching a white rose in his hand in one shot, with occasional glimpses of a lightbulb overhead in others.

This is intercut with shots of a young girl tracking through a field with the same white rose in hand. David breaks into the chorus backed to a bright red light, with a guitar solo by Jack Peel during the later half of the song.

‘Scared’ made it onto the Top Ten of The Premium Blend Radio Show during the week of August 5, taking the tenth spot.

Prior to the single’s release, the band, from Lewes, East Sussex, have been playing a long list of gigs across the South of England with performances at the Ancient Mariner Street Party in Hove on August 25, Brighton’s The Green Door Store on August 11, sharing the stage with bands The Lanes, Porcelain Pink and The Clocks, to name a few. Mountfield are set to perform next week on September 7 at the G Live Beer Festival in Guildford, returning after headlining the year before.

They also played The Shoreham Music Festival, The Hope and Ruin in Brighton and The Brunswick in Hove. David Burnage and Dan Doyle, (serving as the band’s drummer), are both graduates from the Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford, with Jack Peel at BIMM.

The band have been acclaimed by BBC Introducing and were interviewed on BBC Radio Kent back on May 18 this year. In the past, Mountfield have taken their music to known venues including The Boileroom, The Electric Theatre, The Con Club and Eastbourne Bandstand.

Back on June 14, lead vocalist David Burnage performed a cover rendition of The Beatles’ ‘Help’, and on July 28 last year, they released the music video for their single, ‘Someone Who Cares’, which depicts David riding a pink flamingo dinghy along a river with a plastic cup of cider in his hand, as drone footage sweeps over him.

Folk band Mountfield released a cover of The Beatles’s classic hit, ‘Help!’, unveiled on their Soundcloud and Facebook pages, on June 14. A Youtube release date has yet to be confirmed by the band.

This cover marks the first release from the band since their latest single ‘Someone Who Cares’, was released in the summer of 2018.

The band, from Lewes, East Sussex, are made up of David Burnage, Jack Peel, and Dan Doyle. The indie group have recently played shows in Eastbourne at the Magnificent Motors car show, to the two day Brighton Summer Vegan Festival, hosted by The Level, before giving their support to The Chesterfield Band’s European tour, at the Brunswick in Brighton, which is scheduled for the end of the month.

David is a recent graduate from the Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford, with their drummer Dan Doyle, set to graduate later this year, and Jack at BIMM.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srIl0pisq3M

The cover is a solid, emotive performance, and once again affirms an impression of confidence in what they do as musicians, as well as a dedication to the music and utter professionalism.

The band have already left an indelible mark throughout the South of England with a list of gigs in Guildford, Eastbourne, Crawley and Brighton as long as the mileage between the locations combined. They have been welcomed by BBC Introducing and in just the last month, they have been interviewed on BBC Radio Kent.

They have performed at well known venues in the UK, including The Boileroom, The Electric Theatre, The Con Club and Eastbourne Bandstand.

Inspired by musical acts such as Mumford & Sons and Coldplay, the band have nurtured their own sound through a long process of endless performances, writing and experimentation.

They’re making the right sounds and establishing the perfect connections, so without a doubt in mind, Mountfield’s journey has only just started, and the regional events across the South of England are simply the beginning.

These are the first stepping stones that’ll lead to the larger, more prestigious music festivals of the UK, and beyond. Will Mountfield become a household name within five years, will their mainstream appeal grow exponentially into the future?, there’s no reason it shouldn’t.

Watch this space going into the future, because these guys are exactly where they want to be.
